Roaches, car break ins, AC not working, maintenance talking about bad about you while you're there. After almost a year of being here we haven't had too great of an experience. We've gotten roaches despite never before having any, keeping no food out. While the exterminator was here he'd told us that a lot of the apartments are having issues with roaches as well. It started off just in our restroom about 5 different sightings. Had them come out. Week later they were in our kitchen. One in our Microwave and one under our cupboards crawling on our clean dishes. Had them come back out. They've also had car break ins which I understand they are not responsible for but great to know if you're looking to move here anytime soon. We had no hot water for months at best it was always warm. Never really cared for that but when we did put in a maintenance request they did come out and resolved the issue quick. Doesn't make up for the fact during one inspection staff talked rudely about us in our presence thinking we didn't speak Spanish and we saw a google review of the exact same thing happening to another tenant a few months ago. Most recently our AC gave out two days ago. They said a window unit would be installed the same day. Didn't get installed until the next. Now they're saying AC would be fixed Monday and not today like they also ensured us. We're staying with friends in Manor which is inconvenient because we're having to drive 30+ minutes each way for work. Im sure the electric bill will also rise due to the unit being plugged in until Monday. But we can't leave it unplugged and risk it being humid in the apartment leading to mold or our fridge giving out due to the heat. But we also can't stay. The room is the only one thing that stays cool. Restroom is hot. Living room hot. Kitchen hot. Can't cook due to the heat inside the apartment, having to take our recently bought groceries to our friends. Not to mention roaches breed/reproduce faster in hot weather. All leading to having to pay a higher bill due to the unit being plugged in as well as our fans going all day long, having to commute 30+ minutes each way to work, not being in our apartment for 5 days and still paying rent in full (that's if it actually gets fixed Monday). Spoke to someone who does AC and they said that yes if the condenser is what broke then it's probably why the AC can't be repaired due to it raining today so it's understandable why the repair got pushed back but It's just frustrating that the AC gave out and other circumstances on top already making it feel like this place is not great. We also understand that some things are out of their control and it is hot and things are bound to break sometimes. All in all we just would not choose to renew our lease or recommend this place to anyone else. read more

Just don't do it. There is no respect for tenants or their concerns. Complaints are answered politely, resolved if you're lucky. The only reason for the 1 star is affordability compared to comparable properties in the area. This is not my first review, but they have continued to drop stars along the way. But if you discount the fact that the security gates have not worked properly nor consistently in over a year, you can devalue as you see appropriate. Great spot for them to allow a PODS when the weather's what it's been. And to take up 2 of the 8 spots of available. This is not the first time, the last time was reported and they continue to allow it. The LEASE prohibits it. read more

I lived here from 2021-2023, I loved my time there, I felt safe and the neighbors were super friendly. Iselda and Raul are the best, they always greeted me with a friendly smile when I went into the office. I never felt uncomfortable with the maintenance men being in my apartment. I was in the Classic Primrose floor plan and the amount of storage in there is amazing!! Would like to add that our AC stopped working and they fixed it after hours on a holiday weekend!! At first the staff were friendly and helpful, but when it came time for us to submit an application fee, because we did not within 8 hours of submitting out application, the staff cancelled our application with no explanation other than we 'took too long', despite me telling them I was busy that day with client emergencies. If a complex pressures you that hard and cannot wait 1 more day for an application fee, then I smell desperation and pressure tactics. Austin has a vast rental market. I was a tenant at this apartment complex for the last 2 and a half years. Last month I relocated to a new home. I want to start by saying this complex is among the most affordable apartment complexes in the area. But as the saying goes "You get what you pay for". So if your standards are not high, and you don't mind living in an apartment with minimal improvements over the last 20 plus years, then this place is for you. And you better not like sitting by the pool because there are no chairs. I could excuse all the things I just mentioned but we have had a terrible time with our move out. Because of COVID we did not get a final "walk through". We just cleaned everything and left our keys in the office drop box. Wow. Big mistake there. Management is now claiming "excessive damages" and charging us over a thousand dollars! We were completely shocked and horrified to learn of these outrageous charges. Especially since we could only recall a couple of scratches to the floor in the laundry area from moving our washer and dryer in. Otherwise we left everything in good condition. We always paid our rent on time and were honest tenants. To have them treat us so poorly in the end as thanks for that is truly disheartening. If you decide to move to this complex take this review as a warning. You might end up paying mega bucks in the end if you don't. read more

I love living here! Management/maintenance is so nice and handle every issue efficiently. The property is well-kept and the pool is always very clean. The pool is huge and never crowded! I love how spacious our apartment is and how reasonably priced! And in a prime location in North Austin. I have 2 dogs and I have met so many other friendly pet owners who are conscientious about their dogs behavior and also cleaning up after them. As a pet owner, this is something I am always looking for in a place to live. I am very happy to have found this hidden gem! read more

I am so glad I made the move here. Honestly, I was worried that it would be too far North, but with the easy proximity to both Mopac and I-35, it's fairly easy to get wherever I need to go. I've been living here with my husband and our dog for about 5 months now and it's been wonderful. You get an unbelievable amount of space for the money, and the community is full of families and dog lovers. It's refreshing to not be surrounded by college students (as was the case at practically every apartment I've lived in before). The front staff is super friendly and accommodating and the maintenance crew has always quickly responded to any request I've put in. My one and only "complaint" would be that you can frequently hear washers/dryers/dishwashers running in other apartments. However the noise is so minor that after a couple months you pretty much just tune it out. read more

We just signed our second lease at Renaissance at North Bend and I am very pleased with what we've found in this community. Raul and Joe in the office are fantastic, they were quick to learn our names and help us quickly and effectively every time we need anything. Maintenance comes quickly to fix requests, and luckily, we don't need them all too often. Pest control is about every quarter, maybe? And they take any concerns seriously. The office receives packages and sends out emails letting you know when they've received it. The office hours are pretty great too - they're open around my work hours. The grounds are definitely well kept, the dog poo bags are always stocked, and the dog park is an added bonus, even though there's a LOT of space around the property to walk our pup with fun spacious areas for him to explore. They take care of the gym and resolve any issues with equipment quickly. The pool is so pretty and a lot of fun in the summer. The apartment we got is spacious - one of the biggest kitchens I've had in an apartment - and everyone in the area keeps sound to a minimum and we hardly ever hear our neighbors. That's gold in an apartment. The car ports and garages are reasonably priced, and recommended because open parking can sometimes fill up quickly at night, as can be expected. I love that we can use a resident portal to pay rent and submit work orders! It's easy to use and saves us time (and checks) every month. Hope you enjoy this property as much as we have! read more

Great and helpful staff (they know me by name even with a mask), modern amenities, close to dinning and shopping, and right next door to a police station. I lived here for a couple years but after everything was said and done with, I would not refer it to anyone. They will price hike your rent, so keep a close eye on your monthly invoices. I wouldn't advise auto pay either for that reason. They also have an exclusive contract with AT&T for the majority of the complex, so you're pigeon holed into going with them for cable and internet; they will price hike you as well knowing this. My internet only bill was more than my friends who had an internet and cable bundle. Parking is a real pain here. Numerous times I've had to park outside of the gated parking lot because the whole lot was full of cars (get a parking/steering wheel boot if you like your car and don't want it stolen). Also, if you or your visitors are lucky enough to find a spot in the lot and accidentally park on the lines in the parking lot, YOU WILL BE TOWED. Review your contract very closely when it comes to move out dates (60 days), they WILL price gauge you and are strict on the policy. I would recommend that you not lease here, there are plenty of other apartments around for a better monthly cost and also closer to downtown and/or the domain. Or if you choose to go here, just be sure to keep a close eye on your invoices and CYA. read more

The short version, this is a great complex. If you're on the fence, give them a shot, you won't be disappointed. I normally hate apartment complexes. I typically have issues with neighbors' volume levels, security, ammenities, prices, and any number of issues that just make apartment living a pain. Not here, it's been great since day one. I pay a fair rate that includes the water bill, for a very, very cheap fee you get a private garage (large enough to put a midsize car plus two motorcycles), and modern ammenities. The construction of the apartments has really surprised me. I live above some neighbors that are in a band and practice electric guitar and other "loud" instruments and I've *never* not even *once* heard them and I've got rather exceptional hearing. The community is gated, which is a nice touch, and the weight room has been improved since I've been here and now stocks two treadmills, maintained equipment, two ellipticals, and a stairmaster. The pool is nice, but not really my thing. Overall the demeanor of the community is quiet which I appreciate very much. When my Air Conditioner broke I was informed by management that *they* consider that an emergency event, no matter what, and you are fully encouraged to call the maintenance line even in the middle of the night! This impressed me quite a bit and the maintenance staff has been top notch so far. I'm thinking of buying a home and moving out, but my experiences at the complex give me pause. If it stays this way, I might just stay an apartment resident for a little longer than planned. read more

I had not lived in an apartment in over 20 years so apartment living was almost new to me. I was wary of apartment living again. After having looked at several different complexes I chose Renaissance at North Bend because it seemed like a safe, clean place to live. Their grounds are kept up and maintenance issues are promptly addressed. I see school buses picking up and dropping off students so I know that families with school-aged children call Renaissance their home. The staff has been nothing but helpful and professional during my interactions with them. Family and friends have commented about the size of my apartment and its layout. Unfortunately I just moved out as my job moved me to Oregon. I lived at Renaissance at North Bend for 3 years and I loved it! Hands down is the best apartment I've ever lived in. Aside from falling in love with the grounds and apartment layout, the staff is incredible. Office people have always been really nice and the place always looks pretty. It's nice that they do fun things often for the people who live there. The office is really good if you have pets since they treat them very nicely. The pool is great during the summer and doesn't have gross leaves like other apartment pools. read more

My wife and I have live here for 4 years and we have upgraded apartments 3 times here. The community is a great mixture of culture. Everyone here is very friendly and the management is probably the best I have seen in my 12 years renting apartments. They are always fixing any issues quickly and promptly without follow up calls. AC goes out, someone is there ASAP. Need a couple of bathroom lightbulbs, they are brought that day. The response to any issues are always addressed with a sense of urgency. The location is great and with the Police station next door, I can tell you that we never have break ins, no burglaries nor car break ins. That is unheard of in big cities. We are very happy here and love everything about Renaissance at North Bend! read more

My experience at RNB was great! I only left to move out of state to be close to family. The staff was always very helpful, friendly, and professional. I never heard of anything unsafe happening the whole time I was there. My neighbors were friendly. Maintenance always dealt with any issue promptly. For cable/internet, you're stuck with AT&T. Move out fees? YES...very much so. Management will smile to your face and then screw you over. Renaissance at North Bend has been great at just about every aspect of my stay here. They take a genuine care in their tenants and always provide the best customer service every time. It'll be hard to find another complex that'll offer good rent rates and flexible options with their carports and garages. The fellow residents have been kind and quiet, hard to find as well. I believe the distance from the college campus helps as it seems most people here want to enjoy a mostly quiet evening most nights. I have lived at the Renaissance at North Bend for seven years. They have always been attentive to my needs and seem to actually care about the residents. All maintenance requests are seen too within a day or two of submitting. The units are a little older, but the fact that management is very responsive to repair requests makes it worth it. All community areas seem well kept, I've gone into the gym on occasion and it's clean. They have pest control that comes by regularly. The team in the office is amazing and like I said before they seem to genuinely care about their residents. I have recommended the complex to all my friends who were looking for apartments. This is the longest I have lived anywhere outside of my childhood home and I plan to stay here until I move out of Austin. Thank you RNB for being my home in Austin! =) read more

I've lived here for 2 months so far. The complex is at a great location for the price point and it's a great location if you work near the domain. You can walk to some good coffee, tea, Indian, Vietnamese and Korean restaurants, and a little neighborhood bar. There are nearby yoga and barre studios and a few gyms -- all sort of places I like to frequent. My unit is very quiet. I rarely hear my neighbors. So that's a plus. The staff is also very attentive if you have any maintenance requests. I'm subtracting one star because in my unit there's a problem with insects. They spray whenever I complain so they do try to do what they can, but so far that remains an issue. I don't know if that's a problem in all units or if it's a seasonal problem. Over all, it's a great location, the staff is great too. If insects are a deal-breaker, I'd recommend being very careful when you look over the apartment you rent there. read more

Great apartment complex. Have lived there for several years and have been consistently impressed. Maintenance always replies to requests and responds quickly with a fix (and genuinely seeks feedback for every job!). Front office staff is generally quite helpful and do a good job of communicating with residents (e.g. about packages, rent renewals, maintenance, exterminators). Regular, preventative pest treatment means not issues with bugs or rodents and shared amenities like the gym and pool are well-kept. They also allow residents to put what they like on their porches (like bikes or additional lighting), which is not always the case with Austin apartments. Rent prices are also very fair and you get a lot for your money. I looked at six or seven North Austin apartment complexes before settling here - I highly recommend it. Only down side is that they have a fairly oppressive lease-break policy, which can cost in the thousands if you decide to leave before your lease it up (yikes!). Beware of this going in, and ask for details if needed. read more

Been living here for 3 yrs and 2 different units. It has been a good experience. It's the cheapest in this area. The buildings are old so I had issues with leaks, fan not working, toilet broken, etc. I would still say I had a pleasant because every time I submitted a repair request, it was taken care of the next day. Staff is always attentive and helpful, and always respond very quickly if you need something. I am impressed with them Updated- I moved out of the complex. After I moved, they sent me a statement for what I owed them. They claimed that a lot of the items were dirty and they charged extra for cleaning. They also refused to return deposit for a remote that I got from them. Not reasonable, in my opinion. read more

I've lived in multiple apartment complexes, and this by far the best place I have ever lived. I lived at the complex from 7/09 to 7/10, and only moved because my new job is on the opposite side of town and the commute was killing me. I lived in the 2/2 "Primrose" layout for $769 a month. The apartment is huge, big windows, loads of closets, and 9 foot tall ceilings. Parking was ample, neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves, and the gym and other amenities are up to date and never crowded. Some reviews I saw on "apartmentratings.com" claim the management is sometimes rude or try to take your money...that wasn't my experience at all. Management had the chance to screw my boyfriend and I on a couple of things (an accidental bleach stain on the carpet, little things like that), and they were incredibly reasonable and kind. Their best asset by far is their maintenance men. Nick was great, efficient, and fixed problems incredibly fast. Granted, the complex is new and I only had one or two small issues while living there, but Nick was a comforting presence around the community. Felt like he had my back and wasn't looking to screw me out of money during the final walk through. The only real irritation I had with this place is that the water bill is divided between all tenants, so you won't pay for your personal usage. My water/trash bill went up to $40-$50 a month while living here, which is much higher than any other place I've lived. Not a huge deal, but it felt stupid to pay for something I wasn't really using. As long as you aren't looking to party at 3am on a Wednesday, or trash the complex, you will like living here. Cheap rent, huge apartments, quiet community, great maintenance staff, what more could you want? I'm definitely going to miss living here, and would recommend this complex to anyone who works in the northern Austin area. read more

The parking is horrendous. In the year I have been visiting this complex, my compact car received 6+ dents on each side of my car. The spots marked "small car only" aren't utilized correctly (obviously nothing the apartment complex can do about that) and there are far too few parking spots available for larger vehicles. Parking spots in general are not adequate. Many times I have had to park 4 buildings away. On any given day there are a dozen plus vehicles from Longhorn Rentals parked from the entrance to a few buildings away. No idea how many throughout the rest of the parking lot. Beware of penalties for breaking your lease. We were prepared for 60 days notice, paying rent for those 60 days, and paying the "reletting fee". They also charge you the difference between what you are paying per month and the market value of the rent, x the length that you are leaving early. We could even understand that even though it's ridiculous. What blindsided us was a $2000 cancellation charge to break the lease. So $4300 to break the lease. I know people that have worked at other apartment complexes who say that these fees are astronomical. One said that people could pay a $1500 fee and walk out same day. I'd steer clear! read more

I moved in here around 6 months back. I had a bitter experience with the facility and the management. First look at the apartments and leasing office forced me into it but my experience is not as i expected. Points you might want consider: 1) Distance from your home to usual available spots 2)Availability and distance from Trash disposal area 3)Gym seems appealing but got only tread mill.. i cant expect that is available for me My experiences: I waited more than 3 weeks to have my own washer and dryer after i requested. I get some notifications with which i have nothing to do and i had 2 visits from RNB to my place with out my knowledge. Forcible tenants insurance. Its good to have home insured but that's supposed to be our option. I was forced to have it before entering to this home as a condition to enter home. My toilet flooded out, even after they fixed first time. making 2 floods in my rest room. I am in 3rd floor. and my common areas in front of homes are not at all scenic.
