Maybe because of the nice breeze, but leaves and branches everywhere and the units were not cleaned although it was empty it was finger prints everywhere... they should work on display unit so we can be more attracted. Prices are pretty good for how big these apartments are! The office was always pretty quick about completing service requests too. All of the amenities are pretty nice too, but the pool was closed a lot, and it was kind of a hit or miss of whether your fob would work for the gym. (Also I feel like the gates to get in and out were almost always broken. Parking could sometimes be a little difficult, I wish they had more lots/spots. And of all the apartments I've lived at, the move out process was the easiest here! read more

Our apartment was handed over with dirty floors and multiple damaged or non-working items that should have been repaired before move-in. The cockroach problem has been especially disturbing. This was not an occasional sighting. Cockroaches repeatedly appeared throughout the apartment, including on the walls, around the kitchen, inside cups, and around everyday personal items. We constantly had to worry about where the next one would appear. It made the apartment feel unsanitary and extremely uncomfortable to live in. We also discovered a hidden plumbing leak that was not proactively identified by management. As with many other issues, we had to find the problem ourselves, report it, follow up repeatedly, and push for action. The valet trash service has also been unreliable. We are required to pay a monthly fee, yet our garbage was left uncollected for days during the summer, creating a terrible smell throughout the building. Management acknowledged the missed pickups and service problems, but later charged us an additional $25 for an alleged trash violation and initially failed to provide clear, time-stamped evidence. This is not one isolated problem. It is a repeated pattern of poor move-in preparation, pest issues, maintenance failures, delayed responses, temporary fixes, excuses, and responsibility being pushed between management, maintenance, and third-party vendors. We have photos, emails, and written records documenting these issues. DO NOT MOVE HERE. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND LOOK ELSEWHERE. read more

This is my 3rd review. After the amount of struggle and frustration upon my move in. As seen below, I've struggled with a broken toilet upon my move in. The maintenance team decided to call out a 3rd party without my consent or me requesting this service, now is billing me $664+ to pay the plumbing company to fix what our own maintenance couldn't. Never in my 10 years of apartment living had I had this struggle, I even tend to leave my previous apartments good reviews and complimenting maintenance staff. However, this apartment is by far the worst. It's been a issue after another and it's been an uncomfortable living, to the point that they "investigated" into my water issue, not once did I hear back till this day, other than my water bills are finally $100 less than previous months. Now that I logged into my portal to pay this months rent, I was hit with a $664 charge of NO notice or telling that I was liable for a plumbing company to come. I've begged via reviews, emails, no responses, no responses from the Weinstein Company itself. Do not live here!!! I have had 28 work orders (most of all of them are the same toilet) and I've been here short 8 months. Never in my life have I had maintenance issues or issues period. 8 months of never being able to talk or see the "property manager". Only getting billed and throwing my hard work money to this place. I DO NOT recommend living here unless you live on the top floor in the end units or townhouse style one and never report any issues. Management completely lacks empathy as other poor reviews have mentioned. I will update on the move-out process when I finally leave in June 2022 and see if they'll upcharge the hell out of my final bill like they did to a previous tenant. Cons: - awful move-in process: my unit was dirty (see photos) with white dog hair fluff, urine stains along the outside of the toilet and bathroom cabinet, strong urine smell in the foyer even after I've mopped multiple times and cleaned with bleach, gum stuck to my washer, and junk along my sink. I sent photos to the leasing office and asked to have my rent reduced because of the terrible state it was in. They declined and just offered a sad apology and told me I could move into a different unit within the community or a sister one. I've already moved in at this point from across the coast and exhausted from it all and requested to have them hire a professional cleaning service to do the job they were suppose to have done before I ever stepped foot into the place. - Noise complaints: the whole process is a joke and almost discourages you from wanting to do anything other than suffer in silence. A leasing staff (if office is open) or a community attendant (if after-hours) has to physically come into your apartment and YOU have to be physically present to let them in your home to "investigate" the noise complaints before "they", NOT you, deem it excessive i.e. 10 minutes of continuous noise which is NOT explicitly stated in the lease OR the resident handbook; just a fabricated excuse to not deal with your issue. It's super inconvenient when I had to stay awake and wait for them at 3am because my neighbors had their TV on high volume and shouts on a gaming headset or my upstairs neighbors stomps around the place at 5:30am or 10:30pm. The former was finally resolved but I've called, emailed, and responded to the community surveys just to get some type of response for the latter complaint because it's been a nightmare to deal with since October 2021. It came down to having to record the sounds because the entire thing is ridiculous. No where in the lease or resident handbook does it state our outline the meaning the term "excessive", just if someone is disturbing the peace of a resident. See photos for their response. - maintenance: I moved in June 2021 and it would take 1-1.5 weeks for them to get anything done. It's finally taking less time now but if they were short-staffed and long wait times were expected, a community-wide notice would have been nice. My experience has been 50/50 so far because one of them didn't clean after themselves in my apartment when I asked to have parts replaced in my freezer. - thin walls: all sounds like loud TV, phone calls, and heavy foot steps transfer so easily. I know exactly where my upstairs or adjacent neighbors are in their unit relative to mine. - Not enough storage space but I managed fine - good luck finding any parking after 6-7pm. Whether it's guests or residents taking up all the slots, you're probably walking a good bit to your place Pros: - large dog run - convenience/location: easy access to 183 and 45, close to H-Mart, HEB, Target, PetCo/Petsmart, USPS/UPS, Walmart, oil and tire shops, restaurants, and other shopping stores - nice units with deep kitchen sinks with gooseneck attachments and light fixtures. read more

Initially moving into this apartment community, I thought I this was going to be the best living experience & I would be staying here for years to come. I'm a VERY detailed oriented person, SUPER clean, & convenience goes a long way with me. The location is fantastic due to Lakeline Mall as well as all of the shopping experiences within walking distance. BOY WAS I IN FOR THE WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE. The moment I walked into my unit, I was greeted with a pungent, stale, mold infested dog stanch that permeated my nasal cavities. After that warm welcome, I was then greeted with a sticky film on the floor that can only be described in detail as if you're walking into a disgusting movie theater. To further please all my senses, I then navigated to the bathroom & happy to see that the "granite" countertops were discolored by the previous owner(s), (Lucky me). The refrigerator had mold within the shelves, the blinds were dusty, there WAS DOG FOOD PELLETS LEFT IN THE WASHROOM, & the hot water felt as if the water heather had busted & I was left with a luke-warm sensation. Wait, it only gets better... living in TX can have pretty hot summers as we know, my A/C unit has broken over the past 7 months, a LOVELY 13 TIMES...Who doesn't love to come home to a sauna after working 10 hours a day right? That's EXACTLY what I'm paying for. (Oh I'm not done guys) The water pressure is a beautiful "trinkle" in my shower (it's hit or miss), the setting on my washer is "COLD", "MEDIUM-COLD", "KINDA COLD", & "COLD-ISH". They had to replace my dryer because it would take 3 CYCLES for it to dry my clothes & after 7 months of complaining they finally figured out that it was a clogged air vent from outside. The breeze was is FILTHY with trash stains because tenants leave trash outside their doorways without leaving them in their respective DIRTY trash cans. They "Power washed" it but it's STILL gross...Now picture that. Last but not least, it's cold because of the winter & now my units heater doesn't work...IT NEVER ENDS WITH THIS PLACE. This has LITERALLY been the WORST. "LUXURY"APARTMENT I'VE EVER BEEN IN. DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT MOVE HERE. You will be THOROUGHLY KDISAPPOINTED & FRUSTRATED TO THE POINT OF VOILENCE. One month in - People who complain about poop being all over the place need to understand this is not an issue with management, but an issue with the tenants living here. They placed signs all over the place in "problem areas" and people still let their dogs crap in these same places. I added a photo of one of these signs with a decent sized poop right under it. This is flat out disrespectful. The management has always been super inviting and nice when I have spoken with them. The apartment I live in has had no issues. The carpet is cheap, but it's an apartment. All in all, they look great, the complex management is nice and the tenants are lazy. You can do a lot worse in this area. read more

So - here is an updated review now that the current manager is gone. I posted a negative (truthful) review a few months back, then was pestered by the manager to change my rating and review to a 5 star (my review was a 1 star). When I was unable to due to work and a busy lifestyle, she kept asking me and emailed me multiple times to ask me to do it. In fear of being charged or being unfairly treated, I updated my review and gave them a 5 star. LET ME BE CLEAR, there is still poop all over the complex. The weeds are overgrown everywhere, and the gate has been broken for over a MONTH. This is a terribly expensive apartment complex (probably the most expensive in the area) and I'm very sad that it is not kept in better shape. There is also construction right next to the complex that starts at around 6am everyday (including Saturdays) that is extremely noisy, and I am unable to get proper sleep. My husband and I loved the complex when we first moved it. The front office staff was always helpful, but the complex itself started going downhill. When we moved out, I had accidentally left a large board of personal jewelry behind a closet door. I was told it was "never found" which means it was definitely found and I was just never going to get it back. Watch your stuff when maintenance comes in. read more

Since we moved in in May 2021, the pool has been open 8am-10pm. Just went over for a swim before everyone else got out there...to find it closed at 8:30. It's getting more and more like it's sister community that we left to come here. Which makes me sad and vastly disappointed. read more

Bexley at Whitestone has got to be the best apartments in Austin!!! I walked in to Bexley at Whitestone and instantly felt so welcomed by the staff which was so friendly and extremely helpful. Then while touring the property..I noticed how the maintenance staff were cleaning the pool and they still managed to smile & say "Hi" to us. The property has personal trainers, a yoga studio with free yoga classss and a car wash on site, I was just blown away! Their Cyber Cafe is very spacious which is open 24 hrs. I was just so wow'd by everything they had to offer residence. The manager offered me something to drink and was very knowledgeable of property. It was unfortunate for me that they didn't have availability for my time frame of moving but I made sure to stay at a sister property. Crawling with roaches... my apartment needed to get two treatments and I'm still finding roaches... and by all means my place is clean as hell I vacuum every single day I take the trash out consistently and I'm still finding dead roaches in my apartment... think twice before you rent here... also the apartment is built on a drainage system that's right next to a pretty disgusting pond... Once you leave here is when they will get you, I am being charged $567 for 'SUBSTANTIAL' carpet damage. There is no damage at all. I am going to upload upload a video of this unit that I took right before leaving this place. You decide whether you should rent here and let them get you for anything that they can make up at the time. In the video that I attached you can see that this place was cleaned spotless, windows cleaned, counters wiped down, toilets cleaned. This review is coming from someone that has PERFECT rental history at this place and every other place that I have rented thus far. Office staff is not going to help you, especially Ms. Erica or Erika who will read off from a given script. The manager is never going to get on the phone or return your phone call, probably too busy racking up 'Substantial' charges onto some other poor bastards account. Also, keep in mind as of now, other than pleading with them, which has not gone anywhere you too will have no recourse in the event that a charge is levied against you, either you pay it or take a ding on your credit. In other words they are going to extort money from you in whichever means possible and there is nothing anyone can do about it. They are recently under a new manager. I would give 0 if I could. 6 CAR BREAK-INS, and there is still no onsite security. This place was great when I moved in 2021. Idk what's going on, but the cops are constantly being called out here, dogs are barking from patios ALL NIGHT LONG, and there's leaky trash in the hallways which bring all sorts of bugs into your place. Not to mention the walls are PAPER THIN and you hear everything. I'm lucky enough to have neighbors that engage in domestic violence by smashing the windows on each other's cars and by violent screaming of "HELP ME" at 1 am for weeks. The police (again) was called of course, but when the office was frequently informed this was going on, their reply was "You're the only one who has reported this"... there's no way, because I know my neighbors across the hall reported them too. .... I have lived at Whitestone apartments for one year. In that year we have had our refrigerator worked on numerous times we had one person who knew what he was doing. He quit. We finally was granted the great honor of receiving a"brand new" refrigerator after eleven months. There was no ice maker. We were told by the front office we were not guaranteed an ice maker. I love living here! I've stayed in a lot of apartment complexes with various problems ranging from poor management or what have you. This place is peaceful. I don't feel invaded by management. The clubhouse has a cool coffee machine, a pool table, and a computer lab. The whole thing is nicely decorated. The property is always clean and presentable. A lot of people have dogs and sometimes there is poop around, but nothing so crazy it's bothersome. The parking can be tricky sometimes. There isn't guest parking. It's a free for all. I can only speak about my experiences in my building, but parking isn't terrribbllleeee. Wish it could be better though. There's also a free car wash with a special hose and a vacuum cleaner. That reeealllyy comes in handy. The pool is pretty small. Nothing special. The fitness room is nice with a good amount of high tech equipment. Has restrooms and water fountains and they even offer yoga and training. I love when my friends come over and compliment the nice detailing inside. There are modern stainless steel appliances. A garden tub with a farm house kitchen sink surrounded by granite countertops. Washing and dryer are included in my unit. For some reason I don't have a fan in my living room. My closet is fairly large. I'm not a fan of valet trash, but it has its pros. They pick up every day except Friday and Saturday. Right next to the mall, eating places, highway, H-E-B, Target, 5 minutes from the Metro/ bus station. It's perf. Overall it's a very nice apartment and I love it! read more

We moved in Bexley@Whitestone luxury apartments in July 2019. Absolutely love it. It's clean with nice appliances. Amazing Gym and Yoga studio, pool, bocce-ball court and dog park. It's very quiet and clean. We live on the bottom floor, have a bbq area just across the house that we also use. The pool house has a cyber bar and events hall that can be rented out. Management staff is amazing. They have innovative social nights ie; (wine and paint) or Icecream bingo social (where I won 2 prices :). We use the pool daily. Totally love it here. Couldn't have found a better place with open clear skies, lovely sunsets at such a reasonable cost. read more

We've lived here for 2 years now, and this is by FAR the best apartment we've ever lived in. The finishes are top notch, my view of gorgeous sunsets nightly is amazing, they're actually very quiet (a huge plus for me), nice community to walk around with my dogs, the huge dog park is also a plus, the gym and yoga studio are all you need. Pool is great! The girls in the office, Kristina and Maria are so pleasant to interact with. From the second we met Kristina and saw Bexley's amenities, we knew we'd be comfortable here. Kristina was so outgoing and personable and made our difficult move much lighter. She and Maria are very knowledgeable and on top of things. If we have maintenance issues (always minor) they're handled with a day or 2. Ive heard neighbors say parking at night can be tight, but that's normal at any complex. I have a garage so I don't have to worry that. The community is close to any and all shopping and very close to freeways. It's truly a great place to live while saving to buy a home. read more

I originally had a pretty negative review on here, but I'm upping it because I think the new management is a lot better than the old, original management. Mostly I think the maintenance staff is now a lot better. We had a major problem with water leaking in from outside and causing mold on the wall behind our couch. The new maintenance people figured out that some kind of a barrier didn't go all the way down, and correctly repaired it so that it doesn't mold every time it rains anymore. Yay! There are a few awesome things about the complex: - 24 hour gym - fitness classes - The people in the office are very nice and helpful. - beautiful pool - free coffee or hot chocolate - very beautiful in general However, there are still some negative things about the complex: - Because it has central water heating, it takes a long time to get hot water. You end up dumping a couple of gallons of water down the drain every time you want hot water. This is bad, because you are also charged a lot for water. - The fees seem exorbitant. There's a water heating fee, boiler management fee, service fee for hot/waste water, and storm water fee, totally $45/mo. to provide you with water PLUS $14 per thousand gallons. Depending on how much water you use, this can turn out to be a lot. For us, that's $12/mo. for a total of $57/mo. just for our water. I have neighbors who use a lot more water and end up paying a couple hundred per month just for water. - The total fees for non-metered services is $77/mo. - like most apartment complexes, you can hear your neighbors. In general I think it's a fine place to live, although if I was choosing an apartment now, I'd also really consider the Mansions at Lakeline. They're more expensive, but considering Whitestone charges $40/mo. for covered parking, and I think $100/mo. for a garage (might be out of date on that), the price difference might not be as much as it seems. I have been a resident at the Bexley Whitestone for 16 months, it's the second apartment Community I have lived it and I can honestly say it has been the absolute worst experience from the moment I moved in. Not only was my apartment filthy the day I moved in, including bloody bandaids on the bathroom sink back splash , bathroom had not been cleaned, carpets had yet to been cleaned and then laminate flooring in the entryway was sunken it. Parking is also an absolute nightmare, good luck finding a parking spot remotely close to your unit, if at all. The solution they gave me was to park outside the complex in front of the leasing office, which are rarely available and not to mention not inside the Gated community which I pay for. The last time I parked outside the complex in front of the leasing office I was chased by homeless person and had to lock myself inside my car until the cops arrived and the homeless man was arrested and I was escorted by two officers to my apartment. The officers stated it was extremely unsafe for me to park outside my complex and were shocked that the leasing manager even suggested it. Due to having zero parking ANYWHERE in the complex past 7-10 pm the officers suggested I park in the loading zone in front of my unit. i have had to park in a loading zero about 20 times in the past 16 months! I am aware that it's an illegal parking spot but due to the parking issues and the safety for myself and my child, I had no other options. And to make matters worse, they allowed a resident to tow my car, I did not get A phone call but i did receive an email less than an hour before the resident towed my vehicle. Not only is there major parking issues but the grounds are filthy! There is dog poop pretty much everywhere and the breezeways are disgusting! Residents leave multiple bags of garbage outside their doors for days over the weekend. That's is extremely embarrassing when having guest over. I would not recommend this community to my worst enemy, and the only reason why I unfortunately had to sign a second lease was due to Covid. read more

Multiple Maintenance Requests. Although it is true that the staff is very soft spoken and kind, they truly fail in the amount of Time it takes them to handle their business affairs. This company took over the complex 1 month into my lease term to where I have brought up the many issues that were occurring in my unit. The washer machine was leaking, the AC broken in the Master, Cabinet handles, cosmetics were detached, the sink in the master was not flowing properly, many scratches on the wood floor from previous tenant, oven light broken, garbage disposal broken and piece to the dryer machine missing. After discussing these issue with Bexley they reassured me that the issues would be resolved within 2-4 business days. No big deal I figured with the big specials I received. I lived at Bexley Whitestone for over 6 years. I moved in when it was first built in 2015. I loved the location and was appeased by the way management always handled issues. The property was beautiful, full of trees, the grounds were well kept, people picked up after their pets and the trash was well taken care of...... Fast forward to 2020, there was a noticeable decline in management and major plunge in the over all condition of the property! I chose not to renew my lease when the time came at the end of 2021. For starters, the property still has dead trees and scrubs surrounding each building of the community, including the pool, as a result of the snow storm in early Feb. 2021. Yes, almost one year later they have yet to remove or replace them. The trash compactor is a complete eye sore as it piles high near the front gate entrance, old broken furniture and all! Half of the time valet trash doesn't even pick up trash from the resident's door during scheduled times. Residents are supposed to bring trash cans in by 9am but this is not enforced, leaving smelly trash to occupy some hallways for days! To be honest, most breezeways look like a murder scene- full of scattered filth and stains. The community is a landmine of dog poo everywhere you turn. Again, this is supposed to be enforced by property management but they don't do much about it other than leave out rickety signs asking residents to be courteous and pick up after their pets. Give me a break, most people are fully aware their dog took a huge dump and are too lazy to clean it up. It's as if residents could care less about the surroundings amongst where they live. They knowingly leave a massive smelly mess with no intent to pick up or any regard for others. It goes right along with the empty beer cans and left over fast food bags that linger on the property for weeks. This says a lot for the type of residents they allow to occupy the property. I can go on and on about the lack of care and filth at Bexley Whitestone. However, I'm most disgusted by the charge I acquired when I received my final bill. In my Move Out Summary of Charges & Security Deposit Disposition, I was charged for carpet stretching, cleaning and a pet treatment (see attached statement). AFTER I HAD LIVED IN THE APARTMENT FOR OVER 6 YEARS WITH A DOG, WEINSTEIN PROPERTIES ACTUALLY CHARGED ME SO THEY COULD RE-USE THE CARPET FOR THE NEXT RESIDENT! I WAS PUNISHED FOR TAKING CARE OF MY CARPET AND BEING A LOYAL TENET FOR OVER 6 YEARS. It was so well taken care of that they thought it was best to charge me and reuse an already low quality grade of carpet? I know the current resident has no idea. Personally, I would be mortified knowing an apartment had chosen to reuse the carpet after that amount of time. It's called normal wear and tear and should be replaced. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW, WAY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR RESIDENTS, BOTH PAST AND PRESENT. And to those who are considering moving in, you might want to think twice knowing this is how this property management company operates! read more

I have lived many different places in many different states and this has been by far my favorite place. I've been at bexley a little over 13 months and I honestly couldn't find a more beautiful apartment or a better staff to work with. Maintenance issues were mostly always resolved same day, I never had any issues or concerns and the people who live here are all friendly and family oriented. It's pet friendly, child friendly, and best of all in such a great location. My apt has become the place family and friends love going too and I would highly recommend it to anyone I know. We are new to the city and the location of the complex is great! A couple weeks into being here our dishwasher's timer went out, Joe came over and looked at it and had to order the part. He called a couple of days later when the part was in and was over to install right after call. Joe came by the next day to check to make sure the dishwasher was good and that we were satisfied. Living here has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had. I live on the first floor in building 14 and have had constant excessive noise from my upstairs neighbor. I have gone up twice to speak to them about just being mindful that they have neighbors below them because it sounds like they're stomping a lot of the time. I can deal with some noise for a short bit, but when it's continuous and you can't even take a nap in your home or enjoy watching a movie because the noise is so loud it's a problem. I have called and brought this to the office's attention numerous times. They've sent people out to verify and of course the noise stops while they're here for about 5-10 mins. I finally recorded it on my phone and showed the assistant manager who then followed me home to my apartment to verify. Which after I found out he said it was "normal" apartment noise to his office staff. No. This is not normal and I have the video to prove it. He also told me that some of the buildings have sub flooring problems. I was offered to move to a different apartment, but there is a fee. Why should I have to pay a fee to move out because of excessive noise. The property won't call it that and say it's normal so I have to pay for the inconvience. When I called today to let them know that again there was excessive noise for almost 2 hours and I couldn't handle it anymore, the woman in the office said that I was noise sensitive and the cleaning crew above, because the upstairs neighbors moved out, had to do their job. I understand that people have jobs to do, which is why I'm trying to be patient about this, but the bangs and loud jarring noises I'm not going to sit by anymore and deal with.
