Wish I could give them a negative star rating. So, I needed to find an apartment in Round Rock with specific needs due to disability. I knew I'd have to start early, so on 1/1/2023, I entered a request with my needs and wants. Granted, it was a Sunday and a holiday, so I wasn't expecting a response right away. But within 20 minutes, I got a text with the name of the locator. About 30 minutes later, I got a text from Juan Carlos, J.C., saying he was going to start pulling listings and would get with me the next day. Fine so far. The next day, nothing. Total silence. Day after that, I texted him again and sent another email. No response. The next day, I sent yet another text and email, with total silence. Never heard anything, and I was watching inventory dwindling hourly and starting to panic. Still absolutely nothing, total radio silence. So, in the course of 3 days, received ONE text from JC, plus several attempts from me. I gave up, went with another service. DO NOT EVER, EVER GO WITH BRENT GRADY OF APARTMENTS NOW. I moved from California to Austin about 2 months ago, and put my fate in his hands. Calling him I told him I didn't know the area, and my only concern was SAFETY. I'm a young girl in my twenties, single, and would be living alone. HE TOOK ME TO A COMPLEX OFF I-35 and BRAKER/RUNDBERG. How is this guy employed? What kind of a person takes a young, single girl, new to the area, not knowing anything about the danger areas, and places her in the worst possible area. I was pressured into signing a lease that day to get the 24 hour special they were having, where he went through every step of the process with me, knowing very well what would happen to me if I stayed in that terrible neighborhood. What a JERK! I texted him a few days after I'd been working on getting out of my lease because I was afraid. Didn't answer the phone, messages, or texts. Was TOTALLY just in it for the commission. If Apartments Now doesn't fire this man immediately, they are so, so not going to keep a good reputation. Not only did I have to get an attorney to get out of the apartment, but I could have been HURT. Men were staring into my car as I was unloading it and moving in. Trash was everywhere after I signed my lease. He put a young single girl, only concerned with safety in the GHETTO. I can't stress it enough. The one star is for Eden Wiess and I'll give a detailed, but not to long, reason for the one star. Cons 1. I'm the one moving to Austin from California but during the first phone conversation, which was about 30 minutes long, I talked for about 2 minutes. Ok, it might have been a whole 5 minutes. In other words, she didn't even ask me what I wanted from an apartment, nor did she stop flapping her mouth long enough to listen to what I needed. 2. She told me I wasn't going to be able to get an apartment with immediate availability. After I got to Austin I contacted another apartment finding service and they gave me loads of apartments with immediate availability. In other words, she lied to me. 3. I was only given information on one apartment complex and Eden was very pushy about me taking the apartment, "Because it would be gone so fast." Don't all sales people use that line to make people buy things they don't really want? 4. The only apartment I was given information on wasn't in my price range. Once again, I had no problems finding place in my price range that were just as nice when I went over to Apartment Experts. 5. Eden sent me an email asking why I cancelled on the apartment. Wow, I'm pretty sure that was my choice and I shouldn't have to explain myself over this. I needed something I could move into soon, not 2 weeks after I got here. read more

I just wanted to take a moment to review my very positive experience working with Toby Tate. I moved into my current apartment almost a year ago, and while I like it, I knew I needed an upgrade. Toby responded promptly to my inquiry and we arranged a time to meet. I had to cancel that appointment, but Toby was very accommodating and we rescheduled. We met one evening when I got off work to narrow down apartments. Then, a few days later, we went out to see properties. We only saw two and I appreciated that. I work with locators because I don't want to drive all over the city of Austin trying to find a new place to live. Both places were perfect and I wound up putting in an application at the second property the very same day. Toby was friendly, but still professional. Professionalism is VERY important to me, and his demeanor and candor about the apartment complexes was great. On another note, I actually used another Apartments Now locator last year. I will not name the locator, but that locator's lack of professionalism left a bad taste in my mouth, despite the fact that I found an apartment I liked and eventually rented. I e-mailed Dwight Baker, the manager, and explained what had happened. Dwight e-mailed me back the very same day, apologized for my experience, and said he had spoken with the locator regarding my concerns. Honestly, Dwight's customer service is what made me choose Apartments Now again, and I'm glad I did. I'll definitely work with Toby again, should I ever need to move again. read more

I've been looking to relocate and scoping out apartments in Austin for quite sometime. My friend and I had a list of apartments to check out, all looking fabulous online. It really makes you realize how much BS goes into sales. We had a HORRIBLE, and I do mean HORRIBLE time checking out apartments on our own. From complexes looking nothing like the photos online to just being treated poorly and disrespected, our first day of apartment hunting left me in literal tears. I felt so disheartened by the whole process, but decided to keep searching. On Craigslist, I kept seeing ads for this place. Despite my concern for anything to do with Craigslist, I decided to give them a try. At this point, I figured it couldn't get worse. I'm not one for stuffiness or pretension and she definitely genuinely connected to me in a way that I appreciate. It was such a night and day experience to go from apartment hunting on my own to utilizing someone who really knew their stuff. I really had no idea I could get the kind of apartment in the neighborhood I did, if it hadn't been for her. I've never used an apartment search service before but was referred by a leasing agent whose complex I loved (The Bridge at Tech Ridge) but was full. She referred me to Dwight, and he did a fantastic job. All he needed was budget, any necessary amenities and the location desired. I submitted a request for assistance to the Apartments Now website on Monday night and got a call from Emely the following morning. We had a quick conversation about location, price range, and any other factors she should take into consideration when looking for me. I made an appointment for Friday to go see apartments with her. When I arrived at the office, she had four places picked out and quickly showed me their floorplans and prices to make sure they were all fine with me. Afterwards, we drove to each one and got the tour. Thank the Good Lord for Dwight Baker!!!! Relocating for a job isn't easy. Relocating for a job with a month notice is cause for a nervous breakdown... because of Dwight it was the easiest move I have ever gone through! I had to find this apartment while I was helping plan both of my sisters weddings and my husbands graduation. To say my schedule was impossible to work with would have been an understatement... but he understood and worked around my schedule to make sure that I didn't miss out on our apartment. I've had it where other locators in the office will chime in with another community they just learned about. It really is a team based office. Saul is a waste of time. I had to call him and give him locations and apartments to find for me?! He lied and refused to help me find apt that I was interested in. I kindly told him that his services weren't working out for me. I later found out that he was calling the apt complexes and sending me emails , after I blocked his phone number because he didn't seem to get the hint when I asked him to leave me alone. He kept harassing me why I didn't put him down as a locator. YOU DIDNT HELP FIND MY APT!!!!! I was driving out to the locations, I was calling and I was the one setting up the appt to look at the apt. You do not get paid for work you never did. When I called his office he acts like he has no idea what's going on and then management refuses to handle to situation or return my calls.
