It was such a blessing having Chris as my realtor! As a first-time home buyer, I knew next to nothing about the home buying process. Chris made sure all my questions were answered and then some, and he always had my best interest at heart. He worked around my schedule and was flexible and generous with his time. From searching, to submitting an offer, to going under contract, to closing, Chris walked me through every single step and explained what everything meant to ensure I fully understood. Chris Hightower will be our realtor for life due to his professionalism, attitude and persistence selling our home. In the midst of a very tough market, we came to Chris after another less experienced realtor just couldn't handle the job. After a first inspection, we found that we needed major repairs to successfully market our home. Chris never flinched, he just got to work. His years of local experience and teams of competent contractors really paid off when others couldn't. He got our house ready and sold, beating the time-certain deadline we required to fit our financial needs. Without hesitation, I will send anyone who needs an Austin realtor to Chris Hightower. Chris Hightower came to us through a recommendation from a friend when we were in the process of moving to Austin from Chicago. We knew we wanted to build, so not only did we need to find a neighborhood with an opportunity but also needed a temporary rental. Chris is an Austin native and knows the city very well. He gave us excellent customer service throughout the entire process! He provided several choices for rentals within our desired school district, drove us around to different neighborhoods with available lots, set up meetings with builders and worked closely with our builder until close. He has stayed in regular contact with us since we've moved and now we consider him one of our 1st Austin friends. read more

Our team just closed out a deal alongside Chris Hightower and couldn't have had a more seamless experience. Realtors - this is who you want to work with! From the beginning, we always had the same goal in mind and there's no doubt that we got across the finish line on this one because of Chris. We have now used Chris through three home transactions: Buying our first home in November of 2016. Selling that home, and buying our most recent home in September of 2018. Recently we had our dream house come up on the market unexpectedly and decided we wanted to take a look. We texted Chris on a Saturday morning and he let us know he would meet us at the house to look that same day. We decided we wanted to move forward that next day and within 45 days we were in our new home! Chris had our original house he helped us buy on the market and sold within TEN DAYS! He was available around the clock whenever we had questions, and if he wasn't able to answer them he would get us in touch with someone who could help us out. He will do everything he can within his power to help you purchase/sell your home, and will make sure that you get the best deal possible. We could not recommend Chris any more, and we will continue to use him in the future if we ever need to move. read more

Chris was incredibly helpful for the entire process. We started the home-buying process, and had one purchased within a month. Chris was there every step of the way. We'll absolutely be calling him for home #2!! read more

Chris Hightower is the single-best realtor in the Austin-area. He really is an expert at what he does and he knows the Austin real-estate market better than anyone. Contacting Chris was the best decision we made. My husband and I purchased our first home while I was 8 months pregnant. Chris not only saved us thousands of dollars on the purchase price--which directly affected his own commission--but he also negotiated a new roof and new windows and had it finished within our tight timeframe with the baby on the way. Chris also knew so much about how to care for our home--from the types of trees and soil in the in the yard to the type of ceiling. He accommodated our work schedules and made himself available to show us homes and talk through options, sometimes late at night or on the weekends. He is honest and passionate about his work and just the best person to work with. We have worked with other realtors, and to say our experience with Chris was the best would be the biggest understatement. We will never hire anyone else. We highly recommend using Chris Hightower if you are buying or selling real estate in the Austin-area. read more

When it came time to sell an inherited property in Wimberley after 10+ years of renters, we went to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) to find a realtor in that area.  There were 4-5 realtors with an A+ rating, but Chris was the only one who actually answered his phone.  How lucky were we to find a 20+ year experienced, patient professional.  Our situation could have been a real challenge for any other realtor with 5 siblings involved in the sale.  Chris took it in stride and with any 'bump in the road' he knew exactly how to handle it.  After inspecting the property, he made helpful suggestions to improve our chance for a successful sale.  Within 3 days we had 5 offers, and Chris effectively drove a 'bidding war.'  We couldn't have asked for a better outcome.  I'm sure we weren't his only client at the time, but we sure felt like it.  I definitely recommend Chris Hightower! read more

I will never use anyone other than Chris when buying or selling property. My wife and I just purchased our first home with Chris' help. From start to finish, Chris demonstrated a professional quality that can't be paralleled. We didn't really know what we wanted at first, but with his experience, Chris was able to identify what would work best for us. He then set up an easy to use search website that provided us with daily updates of new homes fitting our search criteria. When it came time to close, Chris helped us navigate the speed bumps that seem to be inevitable. Chris was always easy to get a hold of and he never seemed to be too busy to answer questions. Through the process, it really felt like a super knowledgeable friend was helping us out, not just a real estate broker. Use Chris if you want the best experience possible! read more

As a first-time home buyer in Austin, I was looking for a real estate agent who is knowledgeable, communicative, and equipped to handle my unique situation. Chris not only met my expectation, but far exceeded it. He listened to my needs and represented my best interest every step of the way. A case in point, after conducting a very thorough final walk-through with the inspector, Chris arranged for a conference call to update me on the findings. After that, he relentlessly pushed for all repairs to be made before the closing date. Even though buying a home was a time-consuming and anxiety-inducing process, I felt like I was in very good hands from open house visit to closing. I cannot recommend Chris enough and I would definitely work with him again in the future! read more

I can't recommend Chris highly enough. He's extremely smart, understands real estate, knows the Austin market better than anyone, is a great negotiator, and most importantly, he's an honest, straightforward guy. Chris helped my buy my house when I moved to Austin years ago, and he just helped me sell it when I moved out. Hiring him again was a no-brainer. The house Chris helped me buy was my first home, and Chris was always available to help with newbie homeowner questions, or recommendations for tradesmen, etc. Use Chris for your real estate needs and you won't be disappointed! read more

Chris was a delight to work with to find my new home! It was actually FUN working with him. He took the time to follow me to surrounding towns as well as within Austin. He offered expert advice and noticed and commented on many things that I did not see. Chris was available to answer questions and always had a smile and a cheerful personality. I would highly recommend him to others as their go-to real estate agent. read more

We couldn't recommend Chris and his team enough! When we first met Chris in March, we were very skeptical about our prospects of being able to buy a house. We went from skeptical in March - to homeowners in June! Chris was available, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough every step of the way. He's an absolute professional and I'd trust with just about anything. read more

I'm not very good at writing these things but I must share that Chris is the only realtor you should consider for Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas. We have been working on building a Real Estate Investment portfolio as well as finding our new dream home. His 20 plus years of experience definitely is a big plus. His methodology and professional approach will work to your advantage in the buying process. He is a full time, well trained, hardworking broker who will always make time for you. read more

Chris was a huge help to us throughout the process, and even afterward with some additional question that came up. Days before our closing, Chris had a personal issue that required his attention, but he took the time to ensure that we had someone to help us every step of the way - he enlisted the help of a colleague to do the final walk-thru with us, made himself available for questions, and was highly communicative about who we would be closing with and what to expect. He knew that we had owned homes before (although not in Texas), but even knowing that he didn't leave us twisting in the wind with a ton of questions. He took nothing for granted and provided us with stellar and personalized service. read more

Mr. Hightower went above and beyond for me, as we looked for houses. I gave him a wide area with many different criteria. He was able to set up a convenient search tool for me to screen houses. Then, I was able to go see the houses that made my own top cut. Mr. Hightower was very professional and knowledgable. He went out of his way to make sure we didn't miss an opportunity, which was extremely valuable in securing our home. Throughout the closing process, Mr. Hightower was above to provide insight and advice when faced with various situations (e.g. offer price, inspection, etc). I will never use another Realtor! read more

Chris was the best realtor I've ever worked with! He went above and beyond to help me sell my house quickly and get my asking price. Thanks Chris for making this process easy! read more

Moving a family across the country can be overwhelming, scary and downright stressful, but it doesn't have to be! Fortunately for us, we were referred to Chris Hightower for our home search! Relocating from Illinois, we knew very little about the Austin area and its housing market. Chris thoughtfully listened to our needs and guided us to the areas that best suited our family. He spent several full days showing us homes during our home-finding trip. As the housing market in Austin moves fast, when properties became available, but we were unable to make it down from Illinois, Chris visited the properties for us at times convenient so we could virtually tour the homes. Chris knew what to look for in each home, even when we didn't! He identified and advised us concerning flaws in some of the homes, like cracked tile hidden under a rug, rotting exterior wood. Chris was even looking out for issues that could arise in the future, such as zoning on adjacent vacant property, possible roadway expansions, etc. Ultimately, we selected a new construction, inventory single-family house. Chris helped us navigate the contract process, worked with us to manage builder issues and strongly recommended we have a 3rd party inspection. The 3rd party inspector found several critical issues that we would not have identified ourselves. Chris worked with the builder, who eagerly corrected all the issues. Even after our closing, Chris continues to follow up and go to bat for us on any concerns we have. We happily recommend Chris for your home search or sale!! read more

Chris was phenomenal to work with! Super knowledgeable and quick to respond. Plus, he's got some of the best people behind him to help with anything you could need from mortgage to pest control. I look forward to working with him again! :) read more

Chris Hightower!!!! Best realtor there is... no kidding guys! First off let me tell you a little about me, I have never written a review before... EVER but this guy deserves it and more! I first met Chris through a mutual friend. He took time out of his day to just sit down with a group of like minded people and myself included to go over real estate questions and this guy let me tell ya, has all the patience in the world. We sat and talked for about 3 hours about anything and everything in this field. I was as new as new can be to all this. He explained in full detail any question we would throw at him. He's consistent, listens to your needs, goals, wants and asperations and plans accordingly. No question was ever too dumb, no request was ever a bother. Chris, my boyfriend and I worked together for over a year and he made sure to find us the best Investment property there was! Being a new property owner and landlord is very intimidating especially when you go into this not really knowing much about it but with the help of Chris I know I will be successful. Its so reassuring that even after the deal was complete I still have Chris as a mentor, and a resource. If you are looking for a realtor, property manager or just have questions regarding investment properties he's your guy! No one better! read more

As a first time homeowner, I wasn't sure what to expect. I started the process with a different realtor, and six months in had only seen about 4-5 houses and felt like I was doing most of the research and was more of a bother than a client. My friend told me to meet with Chris, just to get a second opinion. In the one hour I sat down with him, I learned more about the market, trends, timing, contracts, etc than I did with my own research and being with my previous realtor for six months. We were in constant communication, he accommodated my crazy work schedule and provided advice, his own experience and different prospectives on every single house or idea. After a few months- we found the perfect one- it honestly couldn't have been done without the perfect realtor especially considering everything that went into the final closing. Aside from everything else- it was so much fun to work with him! I'm so grateful for Chris and look forward to the next one!! read more

Knowledgeable. Patient. Detailed. Expert. Advocate. These are a few words I'd use to describe Chris from The Hightower Company. Throughout our entire home buying process, Chris acted as our personal consultant -- informing us of pros/cons for every house we looked at together and never pushing us in any direction other than where our hearts led. He's a true pro and my wife and I highly recommend Chris if you're looking to buy/sell a home in the Austin area. read more

Mr. Hightower was amazing! I think I made him show me in excess of 30 properties in a very short amount of time due to my timeline needs. He was beyond professional and patient. I have bought and sold homes before, but never have had this level of expertise and attention to detail. Truly the best buying experience I've ever had. read more

We met Chris through a person we know. Chris met us one afternoon and spent an hour listening to our wants and needs. He explained what he can do for us, talked about the different neighborhoods and discussed life in Austin! We found Chris to be a very friendly and highly professional realtor and person. The decision was made right then and there for us to use his skills, knowledge and talent to find us the right house. Well, as things usually go, we started to drive neighborhoods looking at the houses for sale and even went to the new house communities. During one such drive we found a new community that we liked and decided to buy one of the houses. We told Chris and he jumped right in representing us in all of the negotiations, contract signing and reading all documents. He gave us great advice and actually worked out an excellent deal for us. He was there for us through the entire process and came to our closing. We would recommend Chris to anyone we know and to those reading these reviews. You could not do better than him! We will definitely use him again when the situation arises. Thanks Chris! read more
