Let's just start this out with a little bit of feelings here: Rachel was an absolute delight to work with, and, though we don't plan to purchase another house anytime in the near future, I sure would hire her again in a heartbeat (and you should, too!). From the start, it was clear that Rachel had her sh*t together; she invited us to her brokerage for an incredibly polished presentation to ensure we knew everything that was going on throughout the entire process. She also created helpful videos to inform her clients about some of the lesser understood parts of the home buying process to make the concepts incredibly accessible to a novice like me. Rachel set up searches for us to get notified whenever a house that met our criteria came on the market, but that's not what impressed me most. What impressed me was how on top of it she was when it came to listings in our desired neighborhood. Rachel was able to give us a bit of advance notice when something came up that looked promising. Our desired neighborhood has very few four bedroom houses that come on the market, so the fact that she was able to stay in touch with what was going on so well made her seem sort of like a snake charmer, but for real estate. A real estate charmer? Sure. Either way, I felt confident she was diligently searching for the perfect house for us, and not just passively letting her search do the work. When it came time to make an offer and negotiate the contract, it was clear Rachel knew exactly what we should do to make everything go smoothly. Not only was our first and only offer accepted because of Rachel's guidance, she also managed to get the seller to pay for a few things they originally stated must be paid by the buyer.
