Brooke was, without doubt, the absolute best part of our home-buying experience. She's incredibly kind, impressively knowledgeable, and communicative to an outright heroic degree. Honestly, there wasn't a single instance in the entire year we worked with her (and with her assistant, Jacqueline) when an email, text, or phone call went unanswered for more than a few seconds. And this from my wife and me, two people with an unhealthy knack for asking an endless amount of questions, all of which we hurled at Brooke, every hour, fully accepting that she might eventually lose her cool and tell us what exhausting pains in the butt we were being. She never did, though. In fact, both Brooke and Jacqueline got better and better at answering all of our questions as time went on, making sure we knew we had their genuine expertise in our newcomer corner, even when the inevitable chaos hit. And I'm not talking about the 'rona, either, which of course made everything about building a house that much more difficult. I'm talking about our actual builder, who ghosted after our pre-Sheetrock walk, reappearing a month later with news of having to part ways not only with their original building team but also with our main point of contact -- all after our initial closing date was already a few weeks behind. But I won't get into all of that. Who needs to complain with Hippo Realty on your side? Here's the situation, y'all: Brooke Daniel will keep you sane -- the highest praise anybody can give to a Realtor, I'm convinced, having now gone through the process. I said how accommodating she was? Well, you should've seen Brooke when things got truly stressful for my wife and me, how quick she was to say "On it!" to anything we asked her to handle, how motivated she was to translate any legalese the builder or lender or title company suddenly dropped into our overrun inboxes, frazzling our already frazzled brains. You should've been there (but not really) when she came without question to our first walk-through, just when pandemic paranoia hit, keeping her cool yet staying totally mindful of a situation that somehow found us, the builder, the appraiser, and the inspector all in the home at the exact same time. Quick side note about that last bit. As we did our walk, all too ready to tape the entire home in green and blue, Brooke would point out certain things, explaining what they were and why we should or shouldn't mark them for repair, all while seeming totally unfazed when the builder would jump in, talk over everyone, and explain what Brooke was already explaining. I really can't say what was more poignant about that: my frustration with the builder's intrusions (granted, yes, he was only doing his job) or Brooke's professional poise, quick knowledge, and shrewd way of handling an awkward atmosphere. Actually, I can say, because it was Brooke and only Brooke who kept my wife and me sane. And the sanity continues to this day, even. Just this weekend, exactly one month after we moved in, Brooke was there, ever watchful of her correspondence, to offer her support and wisdom regarding our first major new-home issue: a pretty significant wall leak from an apparent lack of caulking. How about that? How about Brooke making good on her promise to stick by us not just during the pre-move-in madness, which she did phenomenally, but to be our Realtor for life? Let me say it again. Here's a business that will not disappear when the mortgage goes through and the title gets signed and the keys are finally in your hands. Here's a team that will not begrudge you a bad-luck builder even during a pandemically frightening time. My wife and I moved from Florida to Texas 1 year ago. Brooke and Jacqueline were absolute angels! We built a home with KB, and it was one of the worst experiences. Brooke and Jacqueline stepped in and took over all the communication for us.
