I seen Dr Tran and Dr Mendoza, both did a thorough exam and even the office staff were great and efficient. They were pretty busy (which I knew they would be) but it seemed they worked quickly and efficiently. I had a positive experience, Dr Tran really had a good helpful way she treated me. I felt she really cared about me and my eye health and my over all health. Also the prices are pretty competitive and I didn't feel like she nickle and dimed every little thing. I got a thorough exam and I even have a follow up visit. I had an eye issue that she treated and also prescribed antibiotics and I also left with an eye wash. I felt very cared for and I felt so much better after my time with her. Also this Dr has a nice variety of glasses to choose from and the office was clean and organized. Even the bathroom was clean and stocked. The front staff was also friendly and helpful. This is by far the best optometrist experience I have ever had and I been wearing glasses for 40 years. Throughout my exam, Dr. Mendoza and Dr. Tran were very patient and easy going with me when I was trying to figure out if the eye chart was blurry or not haha! I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try for my annual exam this year. I'd been…read moredebating switching optometrists for a while, so I was encouraged when I saw the reviews. First, the staff is very friendly and professional. From the phone call to make the appointment to greeting me upon my arrival, I was impressed. The location is also bright and spacious. I saw Doctor Yu. He was so sweet. He was very thorough and even gave me a miniature biology lesson on my eyes. He explained everything, didn't rush through the exam, and put my nerves at ease. I was very impressed with his bedside manner. However, I was very uncomfortable when my eyes were dilated. Typically, I've received numbing drops to counter the stinging side effect from the dilation drops. I didn't receive that here. I felt like the doctor used a large amount of dilation drops and it was really painful. My eyes were pretty much dilated for the rest of the evening. They did supply some pretty cool little shades for my eye glasses to protect my eyes from the sun once I left. I also was disappointed they don't offer a vision field test during the routine exam. Finally, I was surprised that I was charged a sitting fee for my contact lenses. I questioned this since I've worn the same prescription for about a decade and they were even keeping me in the same brand of lens. I was told that the charge is only once a year. Yes, well, so is the exam. I didn't receive any additional service or benefit from this fee, it was just an additional charge. I'm not sure I'll return here for my next exam, which is a pity because there were some very big positives, but also some sizable negatives from my experience.
