I brought my daughter and her boyfriend there for dinner for my daughter's 21st birthday. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food is what I always expect when I go to a David Burke restaurant. A+. We had a wonderful dining experience, and will probably go back again. read more

DON'T GO!, Absolutely the worst dining experience in years. It was my birthday and my wife and kids wanted to take me out for a great dinner.. We arrived on time for a 6:00 pm reservation and were told to wait fifteen minutes. We were finally seated at a small table, in the very back of the restaurant, after passing many empty tables, with traffic bumping into each chair. We called for the manager who finally seated us elsewhere but we were running late and we were getting angry. The waiter took our order and we waited, and waited as food was being served to every table around us. Appetizers, mediocre at best, finally came but main courses never came....waited some more until we could not take the abuse. NO APOLOGY from staff or management! We told the waiter to cancel our order and asked for the check which somehow came very quickly. At that point I called for the manager again and told him I was not going to pay the bill. He grabbed the check and walked away, again, not even a hint of apology. TERRIBLE PLACE...If you want to be abused, go there. read more

Service was fantastic! BUT - Popovers were burnt. Caesar salad dressing was way too garlicky. The pork shank could have been braised several hours longer. And the 55 day aged rib eye was no where near as good as the 21 day aged rib eye I buy from Wegmans at half the price. read more

I would have given this place 5 stars a couple of years ago. When I order steak, I get the rib eye steak medium rare. I have tried the different aged rib eyes they have. The last few times though they have not been very tender. It makes me wonder if the rib eye steaks are prime cuts. $55 plus steaks and everything else is a la carte. I expect better when spending that kind of money. On the flip side, they do a $5 dry-aged burger special at the bar during the week which is very good. read more

Disappointing. Food just ok, nothing special! We were asked three times if we were celebrating anything, and the server never put a candle on the desert as she did with her another tables. Special day- ruined read more

This was the only place with availability on Saturday at 10:00 pm. After seeing the prices, we could understand why. $18 for soup. $24 for a crab cake $45 and up for a steak. We decided on just cocktails after seeing the prices, so I guess we should not of been shocked to pay $20 a drink. Crazy!! We saw some meals being served and nothing we saw warranted those outrageous prices. read more

Food was good but very very salty. Service was ok. Manager not friendly. Would choose another place to eat. Could have been much better. Did not live up to other David Burke places. read more

Excellent service. Great menu. Pop over to die for! Stick to the filet. Bone in very gristly.

Went to Foxwoods for a one night girls getaway. There was a group of 8 of us but only 3 were up for spending big money on food instead of gambling. Well I did both. Spent about the same amount of money too. And yes I enjoyed spending it on the food instead of the roulette table but unfortunately it still was not worth dropping a Benjamin. See I go out to eat a lot and love to try new places. I saw David Burke's Prime on the Travel Channel but that's in Chicago. Not realizing there's also one at Foxwoods. So when it on the website I convinced 2 friends to go. They thoroughly enjoyed their meal and their steak but I don't write reviews for other people. I will make reference and that's it. We were seated immediately right in front. I'm not a fan of being almost out the door but oh well. Especially since the restaurant was only about 25% capacity. Could I have asked to be moved? Yes but I was with other people and it didn't seem to faze them so I kept quiet with my disapproval. Waiter was pleasant and well versed with specials. J and K ordered mixed drinks but I was able to order a Heineken Light. Nice to see they carry it. Drinks came quick. Popovers right behind them. Tasty puffy goodness but difficulty with spreading the somewhat hard butter balls. Regardless I made quick work of it not having eaten in 8 hours. The waiter came back to take our order. J and K ordered the 40 day ribeye medium rare but I asked for some help. Having never eaten dry aged beef before I wanted his opinion. He suggested the ribeye which is a fattier cut or the KC sirloin which is a leaner cut. Since J and K got ribeyes and thinking I was doing my good diet deed getting a leaner cut I ordered the KC sirloin. We also ordered 3 sides to split amongst us. Whipped potatoes, asparagus with pecorino cheese and creamed spinach. We sipped our drinks and celebrated being able to enjoy a great night out with great people with what we hoped was a great meal. The steaks came out really fast and none of us complain. We all pretty up our plates with sides and dug right in. Everything looked and smelled amazing. Oh I forgot to mention, right before the steaks came out we all received probably the coolest steak knives I've ever seen. It looked like a mini cleaver with a serrated edge. I wanted this as a souvenir but i digress... The sides were very good and now it was time to Prime it up. Had to do a little trimming of the fatty edge but not a problem. Once in I noticed the steak was more on the rare side. Totally cool with that but a little taken back knowing that this is a steak house and they should be spot on with the different ways to cook a steak. As the meal went on we all had smiles on our faces. J and K LOVED their ribeyes. I on the other hand just liked it and as I kept eating it became more and more difficult to cut and chew. Even with this high tech knife I still had difficulty making portions that translated to having difficulty eating said portions. (My apologies to anyone with a weak stomach.) There was about 5 semi chewed pieces that I had to put back on my plate because they were grisly. For a $49 steak there should of been very little non edible pieces. Again did I mention it to the waiter? No. I really don't like complaining about food unless it's totally wrong or really bad. I think far too many people bitch about the slightest thing because they are just pains in the ass and think "well I'm paying for it so you have to kiss my ass." I don't agree with that philosophy at all. In Prime's defense the pieces that were tender were tasty but didn't blow my hair back. When the cornerstone of your meal (thanks RS for this line) is a disappointment then it really does ruin the meal regardless of how delicious everything else was. Waiter brought out cotton candy which we gobbled up. Bill came to just under $240. Left $300 and was on our way. I am glad I tried dry aged beef but it will be a long time before I go spending that much money for a steak. I wish Yelp would offer 1/2 stars. I feel like 2 is too low and 3 is too high. read more

When you enter a restaurant and automatically fall in love with the atmosphere and decor, chances are you already have your mind made up whether or not you are going to love this experience. Well, not in my case unfortunately. I wanted to like it, but there were certain things I just couldn't ignore. Came in a few weeks ago for dinner. The bacon appetizer was delish. Cooked perfectly, chewy, but melted the second you put it in your mouth, well flavored. It would have been nice to have a little arugula or something along those lines to cut the straight up "BACON IN YO FACE" however i'm not complaining. The lemon freshened it up quite nicely. Moving on to the steaks. The lady's filet was medium, with a charred top and bottom. Sorry, but this kills me. Filet loses a lot of moisture between med-rare and med, and I would assume that cooking a filet med-rare should be 2nd nature for anyone in the kitchen. Needless to say, she ate it because she despises returning food, but it was disappointing. Next we move on to my $49 bone in NY strip. Another steak that I unfortunately was not too impressed with. Crappy sear job, and completely flavorless. Sorry, but for a dry aged bone in NY strip, i shouldn't need to add salt, this steak should be bursting with rich, buttery, meaty goodness. I added my salt and some crushed black pepper which brought it to life, however that doesn't take away from the steak having no crust on it and a pond of blood in my plate. Jeez, let the steak rest for a bit please. And lastly, the side. Had the ginger mashed sweet potatoes. They were room temp. Seriously I picked up the mini-cast iron skillet with my hands... room temp. Also... besides the whipped gummy "out of a can" texture, WTF is that stuff you put on top? Is that the "ginger" part? Because to me, it tasted and looked like someone got an old, stale, gingersnap cookie and just crumpled it on top. Coudln't take more than one bite. Ugh this experience just gets worse. Our waiter... was our waiter. Nothing more, nothing less. When we ordered, he said "that's it?" Um yea, we are splitting an appetizer and a side. I hope you aren't under the impression that I am cheap because if you didn't notice, I did just order a $50 steak rather than a $29 pasta dish. His lack of motivation and careless attitude left me a tad ticked off, but at the end of the day its what I experienced. Its a shame because I come to foxwoods quite often. Craft charges 2 arms and 6 legs for a steak, so I was looking forward to enjoying this. Oh well. Shrine has really good food for half the price. I'll stick to steakhouses up here in providence. read more

Disappointed. Party of 4 went in with a reservation. They brought us to a table next to a party of 12 men. Because of the noise factor I asked for a different table. They stated all available tables were near large parties and this was all they had. STRIKE ONE. Prime rib ordered by a member of our party. Came out and it was a poor cut. Grizzle and nerve running through the middle. Informed the waiter that he couldn't even cut it. Waiter left and returned with a different knife. Really? Finally after demonstrating that it couldn't be cut and was tough the waiter took it back. He returned in about 5 minutes with the plate. It contained the same piece of meat, trimmed and turned over. STRIKE TWO. When the bill came we had spent over $400.00 including a $100.00 bottle of wine. What do you know, the prime rib was on there, $42.00. STRIKE THREE. We paid. I told the waiter it was unacceptable to take a dish back, trim and reposition the meat and return it. He said he would let them know. YOUR OUT! Don't go. Unacceptable behavior for a high end restaurant. Pay attention David, Caputo was also riddled with mistakes the prior evening. read more

If you have a lot of time, a lot of money and low expectations then this is the place for you! It took 10 minutes for a server to come over once we were seated and another 15 minutes to get the beer that my fiance and I ordered. Tables that were seated after us had gotten their popovers while we just waited and waited. We ordered the candied bacon, which had a very odd flavor and lobster bisque, which we sent back twice because it was cold. We then both ordered filet mignon medium rare. My fiance's came out medium well and mine was almost still alive! We decided not to send it back because we only had 2 more days here so we weren't sure that would be enough time. The asparagus was not prepared properly but it was OK. Then the waiting continued as I guess they were at the printers so we'd have a fresh dessert menu. It was my birthday so it was a nice gesture that we were brought a complimentary piece of chocolate cake but we were never asked if we wanted something else and it was served without forks. So I guess it was off to the blacksmith since the forks took 15 minutes to arrive! Finally after almost 3 hours and way too much money we made our escape, never to return. read more

David Burke Prime's in Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut gets two very enthusiastic thumbs up from me. I went for lunch on a Friday and they happen to have a $5 burger special. WOW! This place is one of the prettiest restaurant's I have ever seen, it's the one with the 3 story wine tower. If you are at Foxwoods, it's sure bet! read more

Very lovely decorated eatery! When u first arrive they place like a miniature bread bowl on the table-that has a huge bubble. I personally thought the bread was tasteless but the idea was good. The prime-rib we had i thought had wayyyy to much salt-in it, especially for the healthy folks.... I will try again but this time tell them to adjust my food accordingly.... read more

I been there 5 years in a row and love this place BUT this year they dropped the ball. My 55 day old steak was 60% fat and my wife's lobster tail which she asked for grilled was boiled. The sides are always great and the Cesar salad is AMAZING a must have!!!! read more

A friend and I dined there 4/10/17 last minute was given a lovely table. Immediately greeted provided with all we needed to know for our dining experience. Each course was perfectly executed and cooked to perfection. Oysters, king crab legs, unbelievable wedge salad split for two. The Porterhouse for two amazing as well. Wine selection superb. Is it pricey? Absolutely. Worth it? No doubt. Oh and the popover's just can't get any better. Service first class. Would travel to Foxwoods just to dine there again. Susan E Worcester, MA read more

Had a great dinner here- yummy cocktails and a delicious dry-aged steak. I love dry-aged steak, but wish I would have gotten one aged even longer- there are several options. Regardless, it was a good steak. One of the better places to go at the casino, for sure. read more

BF and I came here for dinner on a Monday night while on an escape to Foxwoods. Apparently Monday night is Lobster Night with a $40 pre-fix lobster menu. BF opted for salmon carpaccio, since the tuna tartar was not available, which our waiter forgot to tell us. No biggie, carpaccio was good. He had sirloin au poivre, cooked nicely, a bit too much peppercorn, sauce more of a jus than a brandy cream as is what usually comes with au poivre. I decided on the lobster pre-fix. I started with a nice mixed salad, perhaps not the most exciting start compared to the other starter choices, but was dressed lightly, and fresh. My main was the grilled lobster option, delicious. I was a seagull going after every bit of meat. BF thought this quite funny. Dessert choices on pre-fix pretty standard, had chocolate cake with espresso ice cream/gelato. Nice ending. Our favorite part was the cotton candy they serve with your check, whimsical for a steak house, but fun. The service is ok, somewhat lacking in personality and warmth. Server was more concerned with explaining (unnecessarily) the dry aging process, when all we wanted to do was read our menu. But they probably make the staff recite this nonsense to everybody. We had to ask to order wine, server seemed a bit nervous, maybe he was new. And he mispronounced the wine when repeating the order, as a sommelier I'm snobby about that, so tried not to pay attention. Not an amazing experience overall, but good. read more

Everything we had was good, but it was just that - good. I'm surprised the porterhouse wasn't better, especially for the price. It didn't come out the kitchen sizzling hot and was a little more medium than I prefer for ordering medium rare. Our waiter even said, "I guess I'll have to go in the back and sharpen my knife later" because his knife was dull and not great for cutting the meat. read more

Very disappointed, we have been here several times and never had a bad experience. But today my wife took me there for my birthday dinners. It started at the check in, we were seated at a tiny table in a very dark area of the restaurant. Not to mention our reservation was early and the restaurant was pretty much empty. We asked a hostess when they passed our table if we could be seated at a better table in a more lit area. He asked us to pick up our menus and follow him back to the check in area. He the reseated us on a very small table for two, that would shake if you leaned on it when you tried to cut any on your plate your glass shook so bad the water spilled over when it was full. We ordered our appetizers a seafood tower, when they brought it to our table it barely and I mean barely fit on our table. They actually had to remove items from our table to fit the tower. We thought maybe they were saving the tables set for 4 people for groups of 4, we were wrong they seated groups of 2 on those tables which were much larger than ours. Then the support waitress removes our appetizer dishes and spills liquid on me and doesn't even say she was sorry or try to offer to clean it up. We had to ask our head waitress when she came by to clean up the spill. When we ordered our dinners she told us she would send over popovers, never happened we had to ask for them. We had to ask for more water, this is not good considering our waitress had 2 backup people waiting her tables. I would not blame this on covid either, there were plenty and I mean plenty of people working. Never mind there were at least 3 managers roaming around and never stopping at any tables to check on them. I ordered the same steak I have ordered here at least 3 times, and it was called the same thing but it was half the size as normal. This is not a cheap restaurant at all, I had 3 glasses of wine at $30.00 each, never mind the price of the meals and appetizers. I probably won't come back here and would not recommend it to anyone. You definitely don't get the type of service you would expect at this type of restaurant like this. read more

I think this is the best steakhouse in the whole resort. From the bread muffin they give you to the appetizers to the entree to the dessert. If you are in the mood for steak or some seafood appetizers and lobster, the best thing would be for you to make your dinner reservations here. I love the interior design as well, it sets the steak eating mood. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is attentive. Keep up the good work! read more

David Burke Prime - Seafood tower, Delicious!! - Steakhouses Near Me - Mashantucket, Connecticut

Delish shrimp and filet Mignon. Very small portions for price. Popovers are a nice treat with butter served in a pink salt brick with a bay leaf. 2 drinks a cup of soup, 2 dinners and a dessert over $180 with tip. This was a special event but would not be able to do regularly! read more

Go for the salt brick steak. Adds amazing flavor and very tender. The bread served called a popover was light, flaky, and tasted like it should have been desert. A nice touch was the flavored cotton candy for desert. Will definitely try again when in the area. read more

I've been here a few times now. Though it is expensive, this steak house is one of the best I've ever been to. The food is always cooked perfectly, the service is beyond what you would expect at a restaurant, and the atmosphere is peaceful. If you haven't been here before, check it out! read more

$45.00. 3 course dinner was a bargain. Service was excellent. I will go back next time I am in Foxwoods.

We visited David Burke Prime before a Jerry Seinfeld show. The food was very good, and the service was average (they seemed jammed up when the pre-show crowd rolled in). However we had a reservation and they seated us promptly and did get us out just in time for the show. The popovers are delish. We ordered and split everything (in two) including the iceburg salad (yummy fresh blue cheese) and a special aged T-bone with Mac n cheese and broccolini on the side. Everything was really good and they paid attention to our special requests (onions on the side, an extra popover, etc.) The portions are quite large so that may help if you are trying to save some cash for the tables. All in all a lovely meal. read more

Way overpriced for less than Outback Steakhouse quality. We spent $260 on 12 oysters(A+), king crab legs(A), 16oz dry aged sirloin (D), onion soup(A+) and house salad(B-) (for 2 people). The 60 day aged sirloin was tough and not seasoned at all, really disappointing. The best parts of the meal were the onion soup and oysters. I've had better steak at a low end chain, and I didn't feel like I was being ripped off. I wouldn't go there again. read more

The steaks were good. The ambiance was chic. But the price was over priced as expected. The place is in the casino and that probably has a lot to do with it. The service was very accommodating but I would rather of made the trip to a steakhouse in NYC for that price. read more

Second time to David Burke's Prime and it is one of my all time favorite places! Yes, expensive, and worth it! Pretzel crusted crab cake was beautiful and delicious. and I don't ever eat crab cake.... table side Caesar with white anchovies - perfect. Got the surf and turf, 10 oz bone in filet and shelled lobster with braised beef risotto plus another 8oz filet since my BF would polish off the 10 on his own. Also had chocolate molten dessert and he had a salted Carmel cake dessert. The food is phenomenal and the service is impeccable. And I loved my drink so much I took a picture of the vodka bottle so I would remember exactly how to attempt the at-home re-creation. A must go for foodies or for special occasion. read more

This was a bit disappointing for the money spent. I've barbecued a better ribeye from Costco. For a 55 day dry aged piece of " prime" meat, for $62, i expected to be wowed. I don't eat seafood, so steak is a staple in my diet. Ruth's Chris 22 oz cowboy ribeye for $58 blew this 18 oz steak away....no comparison. Even my wife said" boy that looks really thin, not even worthy of a pic for Facebook ". They did however cook it to perfection and it was tender. The waiter did say it tastes a little different, the longer it ages, so I guess that may be a reason I left my leftovers in the fridge in our suite. I also have no problem paying top dollar for "prime" piece of meat in an upscale steakhouse, but to be charged $24 for a cosmopolitan was utterly ridiculous. My wife's prix fixe dinner was $4 cheaper than her 2 drinks. Just wrong...... the 3 stars are for atmosphere ,the mashed potatoes , and the waiters. An employee told me afterwards that he preferred Cedars over this steakhouse, so next time I will try there. read more

Yikes......it's slipped badly. Consistency is everything and the last 5 outta 7 filets I've ordered have been overcooked. I confess, it's a pet peeve of mine. When all you have to put on the plate is a hunk o'protein don't screw it up!!! Popovers sent out burnt too. Service has slipped to smarmyville and the dust in the nipple-y things over the bar is starting to really gross me out. Nothing about the meal was even good and at upwards of $100 pp it kinda should be. read more

We sat at the bar since the wait for a table was over 1 hour. The bartender was wonderful and took great care of us. Overpriced, poor quality, not cooked well, and the sea food was terrible.

Hard to miss at this prime steakhouse. You will get what you pay for with steaks cooked the way you order them and solid service ....I normally sit at the bar and service is always good. The popovers are fresh and you can taste the egg in them. The Caesar salad is made in front of you...and great. The sides are big enough to share. Good drinks too...we normally spend 70-90 a person so it's pricey but a good value as you won't get a better steak anywhere unless you hit Delmonico in Vegas. read more

We've eaten here several times & always enjoyed it. The steaks are cooked to perfection & the appetizers and sides are just as delicious. Our favorites are the surf & turf dumplings for appetizer & for sides we usually get the mac & cheese, a vegetable (this past visit they had the most delicious chipotle corn dish!) & a baked potato- which can easily feed 4 people on its own. Truly a wonderful experience every time we go. read more

The best entree here is the chicken. The side plates were excellent creamed spinach, lobster mashed. The oysters were tiny and dissapointing. I got the 40 day aged steak and someone got the 35 day. For a restaurant that touts itself as "high end"...this spot falls woefully short of its mark. On an early hectic Saturday evening with reservations..we were seated at a very small..squishy table..within an arms length of our neighbors on either side. No privacy...awkward arrangement...not conducive to a relaxing dining experience. First time in a long while..wife and I opted for no alcoholic beverages. "house" pinot was $20/glass..mixed drinks in the $18 range Thats insane!!We were never told the house specials for the night...all tables around us were told. We enjoyed sharing our made at the table Caesar salad. Very good. Home made popovers were melt in your mouth delicious. For the main entree..wife had the scallops with risotto. Four exceedingly large scallops...she said they were tasty but a little chewy. I had the 12 Oz. prime rib...cooked perfectly....not the best piece I've ever had..but good. it came with a ridiculously large baked potato...seemed somewhat dried out...not tasty and the butter struggled to melt on it. A side of $12 much anticipated creamed spinach was almost unedible. very thick...pasty...not at all creamy. Our two servers were good but impersonal. For prices charged...this way too noisy place needs to up their game. read more
