We had 2 waiters taking care of us but they did not communicate with each other. Expecting a 4 to 5 star meal, Ordered the thick cut bacon was dry, asked 3 times for an additional popover never received, rib eye steak was ordered medium rare came out medium plus, had to wait approx 20 mins for a replacement not counting the time it took the waiter to come back to see how our meal was, balance of meal items cold by the time the replacement ribeye was brought. 2nd time was cooked perfectly, Water was never refilled, This was a 60th birthday celebration for my wife which turned into a disappointment. Would not recommend this restaurant read more

Wow! David Burke Prime sets the bar for how a steakhouse should be. From impeccable service to incredible food this place is far above the rest. I highly recommend the tableside smoked old fashion and Clothesline bacon. read more

I decided to take my wife to the Foxwoods Casino for our 20th anniversary. I made reservations for dinner at David Burkes several weeks before my arrival there. Upon arrival we were seated in a timely fashion. The meal was prepared wonderfully. I especially enjoyed the Cesar Salad which was prepared in front of me. My only complaint, and biggest complaint is the lack of atmosphere. In most fine restaurants, the noise level is very subdued. However, our experience was very different. Even the salad chef had to lean in closer to me so I could hear what she had to say and she even apologized for the loudness of the dinning room. I couldn't even have a quiet conversation with my wife whom was seated across from me!! When paying over $50 for a steak $20 for a "top hat" and $15 per glass of wine... I am sorry, its the manager of that establishment's responsibility to insure that the noise level be kept to a minimum. I plan on returning to the Foxwoods Casino some day. Unfortunately, I will not be wasting my time making dinner plans at this David Burkes Steakhouse. Paying top dollar should not ONLY mean the the food be exceptional, the entire experience should be enjoyable as well. read more

My boyfriend and I enjoy trying out new high-end steakhouses for various special occasions. Our latest was David Burke Prime and it was by far the most disappointing one we have been to. We had seen a Phantom Gourmet video about this place about a week before we went and it got us both super excited. We talked about getting the 38 oz 55 Day Dry-Aged ribeye for two for $140, until we realized we could both just get the 18 oz 55-Day Dry-Aged ribeye and only have 1 oz less each for $30 less. We both ordered our steak rare, but they came medium and were very tough. For sides, we ordered brussel sprouts, which were just kind of soggy and flavorless, and the candied bacon Mac & cheese which was actually very good- best part of the meal by far. For appetizers, we got the tableside Caesar salad, which was really nice and the woman who made it was very friendly and personable. We also got the surf & turf dumplings which were mediocre. Our service overall was ok. We had 2 waiters, which seemed weird since neither one of them were training. Neither one of them were particularly knowledgeable or attentive. We had a sommelier who was very good and picked us out a really nice bottle of wine, and like I said the woman who made the salad was excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant seemed really cool, but we felt like we weren't in it. We sat on the very outskirt of the restaurant, which kind of sticks out into the hall of Foxwoods. Felt more like we were eating in the hall than in the restaurant and we were about 6 inches away from the next table of 2. Overall, pretty terrible experience for a really high price. read more

I was extremely disappointed in my dining experience here. I was part of a group of 6, my spouse and I ordered the prime rib for 2 ($140), we ordered it medium, we started with a wedge salad with a slice of bacon, and split it, the dressing and bacon were delicious, but the server took my plate away before I was done. Our steak came out along with everyone's meals. The bone was humongous, but not a lot of meat which wasn't medium, not medium rare but RARE. The meat it self was literally hit or miss in being chewy, tough or good. If we got 4 pieces each that's being generous. My nephew who ordered his filet rare, was cooked more then ours. The server goes and grabs my drink with her gloved hand and I stop her as i wasn't done with it, but now I was, with her fingers in my glass. My other nephew was given the wrong beer, by the time it was acknowledged, we were done, so he refused getting the correct one. That $12 beer wasn't taken off our bill. The lady with my drink, came back with what she said was Stoli Raz on the rocks on them? It was nasty well vodka. Needless to say, Our 1st dining out experience in 9 months was not a hit. The bill was $100pp. I don't mind paying for good food and good service, both of which we didn't have this outing. I know I could have sent back the meat, but let's we honest, it never comes back right, now our friends are inconvenienced by the delay. read more

Interesting decor in this place. I like it! At least it doesn't look like every other restaurant around. If you go you absolutely must have the bad boy burger. It is SO yummy...and huge! The bar service was great, the drinks awesome once the bartender realized we weren't afraid to tip. I'd recommend this place. Realize it's not cheap and I believe you'll be pleased with the experience. read more

Took my dad to dinner after a day of golf at Lake of Isles (wonderful golf course). I had the onion soup (real nice cheese layer on top), filet mignon (cooked perfect but I'm beginning to think rib eyes are better), and for dessert the heath bar sundae (to die for, big portion and yummy). For sides we had the mushrooms, spinach, and onion rings. If you don't get the onion rings you're doing yourself a huge disservice as they're fairly large rings served with a side of (blue?) cheese sauce. Even my dad who isn't a fan of anything too fatty loved the sauce. Service was A+ all the way...everyone was friendly and it was a great way to end our father-son day of golf. read more

My boyfriend and I both love a good steak, so when a family trip to Foxwoods was planned, making a reservation to eat here seemed like a no-brainer. We were there the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend and although we made a reservation, it definitely wasn't necessary since the place was kind of empty, especially for a Friday night. The popovers were definitely a welcomed surprise, and really good. We got the surf and turf dumplings which were wonderful but overpriced at $14 for 4 tiny dumplings. We ordered the porterhouse for 2, black and blue (charred on the outside, rare on the inside). They actually came out to confirm that's how we wanted to steak cooked, I assume either because not many people order it, that way or they wanted to make sure we knew exactly what a black and blue was. A perfectly cooked and delicious porterhouse eventually came out, and we really enjoyed it. We ended up getting 3 sides - the hash browns, the onions, and the bleu cheese. The hash browns and the onions were average, and the bleu cheese was pretty good. The steak was definitely the standout of the meal! We didn't get any desserts, but they give you freshly made cotton candy with your check, which I thought was awesome. I walked through the resort with it and had at least 5 people stop to ask me where I got it! I would definitely recommend eating here. read more

Great steakhouse at Foxwoods! If you're looking for somewhat reasonably priced steak, I'd go to David Burke. If you want to go all out, go to Craftsteak. I highly recommend the prime rib and filet mignon. Both cooked well and the meat was very tender. If you're a chocolate cake fan, get the can o' cake. It's like molten chocolate cake except it's cooked throughout. They literally bake it in a can and it serves about 4-6 people. Definitely a signature dessert. read more

Well.....yesterday mom and me had comped concert tickets and also comped dinner reservations for any restaurant we wanted to go to at Foxwoods. We decided to go to David Burke Prime. And I'd like to say.....I'm glad we chose this restaurant. From the moment we walked in we were treated like GOLD!!!!! The hosts and wait people couldn't have been nicer. We had two wait people taking care of us.....their names were Fani.....and Himei. Fani told us about the specials and then asked what we wanted. I had the 4 pound lobster stuffed with their crab meat stuffing. I also had their lobster bisque soup....with the lobster I had the mashed potatoes and asparagus. My mom had the boneless prime rib....which came with a gigantic baked potato. She also had the french onion soup au gratine. Firstly......the way the restaurant serves the lobster bisque is truly unique. They have this big soup bowl.....with a bit of veggies in the bottom.....and in the middle they have an eggroll filled with a huge piece of lobster. The waiter Himei then poured the bisque from a boiling hot tea pot. I must say the taste of the bisque......was clean tasting.....and sooooooooo savory. Its one of the best lobster bisques I've ever had. Moms french onion soup looked amazing with bubbly mozzarella cheese baked over it. She let me try it and I must say again.....it was the best I've ever had. Instead of bread there's another wait person that serves popovers. I had never had them.....I would say it's like a very flaky huge muffin. Delicious!!!!!!!!! Then our main meals came out. Moms 12 ounce boneless prime rib looked amazing. Then my lobster came out. It was the most biggest lobster I've ever seen served.....and I can truly say from now on I think 4 lbs is the only way to go if your having lobster. Usually when I order a pound or pound and a quarter lobster I'm still hungry when I'm done. Not with this one.......it was a sea monster of the utmost proportions. Their stuffing is totally amazing. Packed with crab meat and bread crumbs. I would say the best I've ever had......and I've had many stuffed lobsters in my lifetime. Mom as usual saved me the fat from her prime rib....and also couldn't finish hers so she gave me what was left. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooo tasty!!!!!!!! Well we were finished and hot towels were given to mom and me. We washed our hands and faces off. I was surprised cause I thought mom was done....but she decided on having the rustic apple tart with vanilla ice cream. And again....she couldn't finish it so I got to taste it. It was a truly tasty beautiful dessert. To round up the meal every table gets a gigantic cotton candy. I swear it was big as my head. So......to end my review.....I would say....if you want to be treated like a movie star or a dignitary go to David Burke Prime (thanks to the most excellent waitress and waiter Fani and Himei....you won't ever get better than them). If you want good fine food.......with excellent portions.....go to David Burke Prime. If you want to be catered to for your every need go to David Burke Prime. Yeah they are pricey.....but as they say....you get what you pay for. I'm already requesting to go here for my birthday dinner in June. read more

Brought my wife here for our anniversary. The only reason for two stars was the atmosphere and waiter staff. As for the food; I ordered the 18oz 50 day dry aged T-bone with side lobstar tail, steak was over spiced with salt and tough to chew, the lobstar was tiny at best. My wife ordered the petite filet, with side scallops. Her plate came with this tiny brown thing in the middle, that was the filet.....it tasted fine but for $42 bucks how about some garnish or something? The side scallops were tasthy but they only served two? Ceaser salad was good, but portion for two was small. We had two Martinis for a modest $21 a pop. With tip $280 without desert. Save your money and go to Cedars, although also pricey for $200 you'll get a better meal, better portions and feel completely satisfied! Comment by Spencer R. of David Burke Prime: Hello Paul, I'd like to begin by wishing you and your wife a Happy Anniversary. We wish you health and many more to come. Secondly, thank you for taking a moment to inform us of your visit recently. I am very sorry that your dinner was not pleasing to you. We desire to make every dining experience a pleasant and memorable one, and it sounds like you did not enjoy yourself. We have multiple menus throughout the week, that offer lower prices and multiple courses (pre-fixe). We invite you to join us again soon, and suggest you take advantage of our Happy Hour Menu as well. Sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations, and hope you will give David Burke Prime another chance next time you are at Foxwoods. My response to Spencer; Spencer, I appreciate your response, however your take on my review was that I was complaining about the price and should come during the week during prefix menu and Happy Hour! I find that insulting! Perhaps should you read my comment a second time. My steak was tough to chew! The $21 lobster tail was two bites. My wife's plate was 10x bigger than her meal! Let me help you with some advise, if your gonna charge top dollar price for sub-par food and tiny portions, at least make an attempt to dress up the plate with some garnish. Presentation and plating a dish properly can sometimes hide portion sizes. I question that my steak was actually aged as I've had better steak from BJ's! In addition, the fact that you actually charged $5 for complimentery items such as sauces and condiments as well as charge for anchovies for a Caeser salad is taking advantage of your customers. Have a good evening..... read more

Best steak of my life. What more do you need to know about a steakhouse? Perfectly seared, medium rare filet mignon, seasoned simply with salt and black pepper - sounds so simple, yet so incredibly difficult to find. Too often the steak isn't actually cooked to the doneness that is requested, or it's missing the all-important sear that provides the deliciously wonderful crust, or it's doused in sauce that completely overwhelms the natural flavor of the meat. This steak was perfection. If you're not interested in steak, I'm happy to report that the seafood dishes I tried here were also superb. I'm a sucker for any scallop and risotto dish, but their version here (the stonington scallops with pumpkin risotto and pepitas, aka pumpkin seeds) was excellent. Only thing that would have made this dish as good as the steak is if the scallops were seared to a golden brown. Another great seafood dish was the special appetizer of the day, mussels fra diavolo, which were incredibly fresh and tender, and the broth was good enough to drink straight from the bowl. If you're with a group that loves chocolate, make sure to order the can o' cake - literally, a giant can of molten chocolate cake, served table-side with frosting, rice pearls, vanilla gelato, and whipped cream. So tasty, and you can't beat the table-side service. My dining companions also had the slow roasted prime rib (which was good, but nowhere near as good as the filet) and the BBQ jumbo shrimp that accompanied a filet (unfortunately, the shrimp was the one disappointment of the night - drowned in far too much sauce). All in all, a fantastic dinner. I will be back for the steak, no doubt. What to order: - filet mignon - stonington scallops with pumpkin risotto and pepitas - can o' cake - mussels fra diavolo read more

The service was wonderful. The decor was beautiful. The food... Appetizer: Tomato and Burrata Salad18.00 Housemade duck prosciutto, spring greens, aged balsamic The was literally not one speck of prosciutto on my plate. I paid $18 for a tomato and some cheese. Did I complain to anybody? No. It was still good but I honestly only ordered it for THE ONE ITEM IT WAS MISSING. Prime rib was good. Nothing above average. I enjoyed it but it was not memorable. Boneless short ribs: wow! A fantastic combination of pasta, mushrooms, and beef. Garlicky baby spinach: tasted smokey, not garlicky. Baked potato: boring. Chocolate molten cake was tasty. The gelato really made that dish and the raspberries were littles kisses from heaven. Cotton candy: light fluffy and fun I would go back but it's not a destination. read more

Went for an anniversary dinner. Had high expectations based on past visits, however this visit was very disappointing. All the magic was gone. From being crowded into one section of the restaurant ( with almost every other part with open tables) to very ordinary overpriced cocktails ( no longer with a fancy presentation), to both ordering the same steak ( which were remarkably different in presentation). Service was attentive, but did not feel the experience was anywhere worth the expense. Cotton candy was nice, but again expected "as usual" read more

Good food (3) and great service (4.5)- most people in our group got the steak- but the scallops were also well done- The sides were so-so, and my risotto was underdone- We also enjoyed the sriracha cocktails and beer in tap! read more

Craft who? Perfect atmosphere for a steak place--lots of reds, blacks, and cowhides. We started with the candied bacon appetizer. Incredible. Three or four thick cut bacon slabs, with a maple syrup glaze and large peppercorns. The bacon just pulled apart like pulled pork, and had crispy edges to really give it a nice texture and smokey flavor. I would go back just for this appetizer. One of the best things I've ever eaten. We both had filets, and split mac and cheese and balsamic asparagus for sides. My filet came out slightly overcooked, but hers was perfect. I got over that pretty quickly--the steaks had great flavor. And, the sides were perfect. They end each meal by bringing complimentary banana cotton candy. Fun way to end. Overall, while not my absolute favorite (i.e. Capital Grille), David Burke's Prime is still well deserving of 5 stars. read more

Driving from NYC we made it just in time for our 11:45 pm reservation & we're thrilled we did! What a beautiful restaurant!! Wait staff really knowledgeable & courteous. Decor more than inviting, too bad this is not in NYC, but @Foxwood's in CT. (Not a good thing) We started our dinner with some cocktails and their popovers....perfect! The crab cake app as well as the caesar salad that was prepared table side. Second to Prime 112 in Miami, which means it was terrific!! Our bone-in sirloin was cooked to perfection. Aged and delicious!! Mashed potatoes wonderful as was the mac-and-cheese!! The only thing we would not repeat was their special salty-caramel sundae dessert. The cake was stale as well as the caramel sauce. Truly disappointing!! Overall, David Burke's PRIME is a winner!! Please open in NYC!!! No action in Foxwood's...a waste of a great restaurant!!!! We left Foxwood's after dinner never to return, the suite we reserved was totally unacceptable as well as the manager's attitude...quickly retrieved our car and spent a fun night gambling into the wee hours of the morning @Mohegan Sun. read more

We made an impromptu visit here on a Friday night. It was busy but we were seated quickly. I was excited for the popovers as I love carbs but unfortunately they were slightly bitter since they were overdone. My husband had the 40 day ribeye and I had the braised short rib and we shared the French fries. The fries weren't crispy and the ketchup and other mystery sauce didn't elevate them. The steak was inconsistently cooked and didn't look like a great cut but the flavor was ok. Definitely not worth the price. The braised short rib was rich and flavorful and I enjoyed the sauce, butter and cavetelli but the peas were underdone. The complementary cotton candy was a nice touch of sweet at the end of the meal and is always fun. Although service was quite nice, ultimately the food is what it's about and for the price and name recognition, this doesn't do it for us so we won't be returning. read more

We went for dinner on a Monday night with a dining voucher that we had won at a fundraiser. We were there for my fiancé's birthday. We arrived 5 minutes late for our reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. The girl at check in was ok, the hostess was nice and said Happy Birthday. Our server started off nice and then started to disappear for long periods of time. They brought bread out which was like a pop over bread and was good. We also ordered sangria which was excellent. We both did a pre fix menu. I did the lobster Monday and had lobster bisque, lobster carbonara with no bacon and the chocolate moo cake. The bisque was thin and tasted more like warm milk and had one piece of lobster in it. The lobster carbonara was good. It still had the milk taste, but the lobster was excellent. The highlight was the cake, it was so good. My fiancé had the wedge salad which was delicious, he had the prime rib and requested well done and en end cut. It was very bloody still. He ordered the apple tart for dessert and said it was pretty good. The total with tax and a 20% tip I think came to $160. All in all it was ok, I would probably not go back. The pricing is very high and we found our entrees to just be ok. read more

Awful. I can buy a slab of meat from Walmart and cook it on a George Foreman grill better than this. $65 for a 30 day dry aged ribeye that has absolutely 0 flavor. Decided to drop in for a bite after a good session in the poker room. Sat at the bar since I was by myself. Got their 28-day dry aged burger with swiss cheese and the bartender recommended the Sam Adams seasonal Noble Pils. Excellent beer recommendation, and the bartender let me do my own thing while still being attentive to my needs, checking up on me every several minutes or so. The burger was great cooked to medium-rare, but the fries were a little limp and could have used a dose of viagra. Also, for $3, I'd rather invest it towards another beer rather than weak fries. Their interior decorator earned their pay. Lots of non-linear curves and this wicked cool wine tower that stores their wine. It's a glass silo with ladders on rails to get to the high shelves. The bartender for the record, recommends the bronx strip and the ribeye. And will accept casino chips just as readily as cash tips. read more

This is the first time I've ever tried David Burke and everything was amazing! Their soup of the day was New England clam chowder. I LOVE clam chowder. Clams also and they were delicious as well. (My friend ordered the apps so I have no idea what they're called). I got the surf and turf for dinner. The lobster was good, my steak was cooked exactly as I wanted. The cotton candy at the end was cute but I'm not a fan of cotton candy to begin with. Service was great throughout the night as well. They were attentive and kept our drinks refilled. My review might not help so much because I went with a VIP member... So everything might've been awesome just because of her. read more

Always good little pricey Best Place to eat at Foxwoods great Service most of the time

If you're thinking of going here, don't. If you're looking for a nice dinner and decent service, go somewhere else. There's plenty of other restaurants at Foxwoods that are better. We went there for my friend's birthday. I told them this when making the reservation. We never saw our main waiter after the first interaction. The secondary waiter picked us up for the remainder of the meal. We got the seafood tower to start. It was underwhelming to say the least. My friend asked our waiter 3 times for those popover breads. It was never mentioned to us or offered, while everyone around us received them. Those popovers were the best part of the meal. For our entrees, 3 of us ordered the prime rib. If you like prime rib, don't get it here. You'll be sorely disappointed. Bland, no seasoning. Like everything else, it's overpriced. Also, other tables received complimentary cotton candy for dessert. Like the popovers, we never got offered cotton candy. No birthday dessert. Heck even Buffalo Wild Wings offers a little cake and a candle for someone's birthday. Everything from the quality of food to service, was a complete disappointment. read more

Last weekend we stayed at Foxwoods Resort and made reservations for David Burke Prime. We were seated rather quickly but waited a while before the waiter came to our table. After he took our appetizer and drink orders we also waited for 45 minutes without any reassurance of hospitality. Both our meal and appetizers orders were screwed up and not to our liking. I have been to many of the DB restaurants and I am a big fan of the chefs cuisine. Prime at Foxwoods, however, was a disappointing experience. I was there for a business dinner, party of 8. The service was slow. Certainly friendly, but snails pace. The bacon appetizer came out almost 45 minutes after we ordered and it wasn't cooked well. We waiting another 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. The lobster bisque was rich and delicious. A colleague of mine ordered the shrimp cocktail - 3 big shrimp - that was it! The entree's finally arrived over 2 hours after we sat down. Most of the steaks were not finished well - they weren't crispy and were not cooked to order. Completely disappointing across the board. The molten cake and liquid desert was sweet endings to an otherwise disappointing meal. read more
