He was present during our son's surgeries and was a strong advocate for him.  He has a way about him that is calming to all of us.  When our son was in a bad mental space preceding his 2nd surgery, it was Howard who spent an hour with him, was able to get through to him and got him ready to face what was ahead.  He was a lifesaver.   Howard has always been available to us for anything.  Even now when we have been transferred to adult cardiology,  Howard has been with us through the transition.  He has continued to spend time with our son in order to help guide his next decisions.  Howard is a special man.  He has so much experience and knowledge.  He listens and truly cares. After an emergency procedure for two stents in my heart, I had two checkups a year. I have been on several medications for 20 years. But for the last ten years, they've done everything in their power to ignore me and treat patients like crap. Calling for an appointment, I am told "Oh, that doctor left. Who do you want an appointment with?" I have not once been notified when another doctor quit the practice. So I'm passed around between total strangers I don't know. My prescription insurance requires mail order delivery of a 90-day supply. Good luck getting the "renewal bitch" to pay attention, return phone calls when a prescription renewal is required or do anything at all! Then she lies and says she tried to contact me. I have voicemail and caller ID so I know she's just making it up. I give up. Complete failure to communicate, rude staff and outright lies are more than I'm willing to suffer for a healthy heart. CC

Dr. Holloway is also really nice, easygoing and not arrogant (the last of which might be surprising to some, as cardiology is a high-paying medical specialty). Granted, I was just there for a prescription refill and didn't have any questions, but if I did, I would feel comfortable asking. Thankfully, I don't have to come back anytime soon, and I mean that in a good way. :) however, if I had any heart issues, I know where to turn! Definitely recommend to friends and family.
