Best advice from an electrician over the phone that you could ask for! I called Dave and inquired about a problem with my shallow water well pump that caused two dedicated circuit breakers to continue tripping inside the garage. Speaking with Dave, he walked me through a few troubleshooting steps and isolated the problem - what turned out to be reversed wiring on the pump. I was even able to send a few photos I took to give Dave a detailed overview of my problem. Without hesitating, Dave suggested a few things that I tried, and they worked! Without trying attempting any gimmicks or coming over and charging me a service fee, Dave provided expert advice (for free) that was really helpful! I'm so glad I found Dave's Quality Electric. I had a small project to change out an exterior light and I called Dave's. I didn't have to wait long for an appointment and Dave was very good about contacting me via text when he was on the way. Once he installed the light, he saw the electrical box where it attached was a different shape/covering than the one I purchased. He offered to install another one, so I picked up a new light with the proper size and Dave came out and changed the second light for me, at no charge for the second trip. David went over and above in his service. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Electricity went out to my washer and dryer. I couldn't reset the breakers. Dave quickly identified the bad breaker and replaced it. Coincidentally, my furnace went out at the same time. Dave assessed that my thermostat needed to be replaced. While he was working on the electrical breaker, I went to the hardware store and bought a new thermostat. Dave installed it and set it for me. Solved 2 unrelated problems in one service call. After reading all the positive reviews, I recommended the use of Dave's "Quality" Electric. I was very disappointed, maybe all Dave's friends wrote these reviews. Anyway, here are the points of non-satisfaction: 1. His source of communication - must use a cell phone and a lousy one at that. Lost connection 3 times during the conversation. 2. Dave must be "busy" as his schedule to fix the electric problem was 2 days later..I would think no access to electricity would be more important than a 2 day time slot. 3. Dave did not seem too enthused about a possible customer. ended up using another electrician service that was located in the phone book and they came out to fix the problem 2 hours later..that is what I call service. read more

We were introduced to Dave through our contractor when we bought our present home and embarked on a major renovation 5 years ago. Dave is the "Go to Guy" for our contractor and he is our "Go to Guy"! Needed an Electrician to come out to switch a 220 outlet to a 110 outlet. Originally, I called another electrician that was recommended by a co-worker, which didn't work out because he kept postponing me. Called a few others and they all quoted me pretty high. After speaking with Dave over the phone, I knew this was the guy for us. He asked lots of questions about the house and seemed to really understand our neighborhood and its dynamics. He came out quickly to look at all of our issues. He calmed my fears about some and showed me where real problems were. He checked my circuit breaker box and quickly fixed a very big issue with some loose connections. He installed a new fan and found that the old was improperly hung. He went under the house to find the tripped outlet that for some reason controlled out kitchen island power and our sump pump. He changed out all of our old recessed florescent lights to LED's. And, he will be back as we want to install a couple more security cameras. He does it all! He's affordable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Very thankful for the awesome experience. He ran the wires, installed the electrical box and installed the fan within an hour or so. Dave is very very very good! Half of our house was without power and none of the breakers flipped yesterday. We didn't have power in the whole kitchen and garage that made me so frustrated. We tried everything and a friend came over to help, but it didn't work. I called Dave and text him in the evening after a long day's frustration. He asked some detailed information and figured out that it might be the PG&E connection problem. And he is correct! I called PG&E. They sent people to our home and worked till early morning. We called Dave to have him fix our fluorescent lights in our office. He was able to come out right away the next morning. He came, looked at the lights and determined that the ballasts needed to be replaced. He provided us with an inexpensive and more expensive choice of ballasts and lights. He could have easily sold us the more expensive versions, but he didn't. There were 6 lights out and he was able to replace them in 2 hours. Very reasonably priced. Dave is great! All the outlets in my living room stopped working. I called a couple of other local electricians that quoted really high prices to even come and diagnose the problem. Dave showed up a day after I first contacted him and spent about 2 hours trying to find the issue. He came back a couple days later to fix the problem, and he only charged me $200 for everything! Called Dave last week to do some wiring for a bathroom remodel, he asked me about the job and I described the 4 simple tasks I needed done. He said that he didn't need to come see the job and he would do it for time and material. I agreed and asked him if he could come this week, he said he could not however he could come on Monday the following week. Again, I agreed since the reviews on Yelp were so great. I called him the Friday before to confirm and left a voicemail. When Monday arrived, I called him 30 minutes after he was supposed to be at my home, and he said he was "running late" so I asked when he would get here, and he asked me for my address. This raised a flag and after more questions he admitted he had no intention of coming to my home, but if I still wanted him to come out he would. I asked him if he would hire someone who just admitted they were unprofessional, and he said "I don't know it's up to you". So that's where I leave this review, "it's up to you," if you want to hire someone who may or may not show up. So now I have to take another day off work. I have to reschedule my plumber, drywall and tile contractors. Worst part is he had no empathy, really didn't give a crap...worst contractor ever. read more
