Dave's Quality Electric - Outdoor outlet. - Electricians Near Me - Concord, California

Dave is very accommodating, punctual or will call if running late. Reasonable rates, gets right to the job, very knowledgeable, helpful and all around nice guy. My handy person turned me on to this guy. Obviously that's a good thing to be recommended by someone who knows and works with different people in the field of housing issues. So now he will be my electrician when I need one. read more

Best advice from an electrician over the phone that you could ask for! I called Dave and inquired about a problem with my shallow water well pump that caused two dedicated circuit breakers to continue tripping inside the garage. Speaking with Dave, he walked me through a few troubleshooting steps and isolated the problem - what turned out to be reversed wiring on the pump. I was even able to send a few photos I took to give Dave a detailed overview of my problem. Without hesitating, Dave suggested a few things that I tried, and they worked! Without trying attempting any gimmicks or coming over and charging me a service fee, Dave provided expert advice (for free) that was really helpful! For any additional home electric concerns I have, I'll make sure to call Dave. Thanks for not letting me feel like a complete idiot and electrocuting myself in my own home. Cheers! read more

I'm so glad I found Dave's Quality Electric. I had a small project to change out an exterior light and I called Dave's. I didn't have to wait long for an appointment and Dave was very good about contacting me via text when he was on the way. Once he installed the light, he saw the electrical box where it attached was a different shape/covering than the one I purchased. He offered to install another one, so I picked up a new light with the proper size and Dave came out and changed the second light for me, at no charge for the second trip. He really went above and beyond and I will definitely use him again for any electrical needs. He was timely, professional, nice and very easy to work with. I highly recommend him. read more

I called Dave early in the morning and he was so kind to call back quickly. I had no power on a few outlets and he walked me through some troubleshooting first - have me help what outlets they are, check the circuit breaker box, etc. He was very helpful and he didn't need to come out to our house after all. I'm writing this because of his kindness and how he was so helpful. Thanks Dave!!! I'll keep his info handy just in case! read more

David went over and above in his service. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Electricity went out to my washer and dryer. I couldn't reset the breakers. Dave quickly identified the bad breaker and replaced it. Coincidentally, my furnace went out at the same time. Dave assessed that my thermostat needed to be replaced. While he was working on the electrical breaker, I went to the hardware store and bought a new thermostat. Dave installed it and set it for me. Solved 2 unrelated problems in one service call. He explained furnace and electrical issues to me , was friendly, on time and more than reasonably priced. He will be my go to electrician. read more

I contacted Dave on short-notice for a time-sensitive issue. He was able to squeeze me in the very next day. His rates are very reasonable...especially for a guy recommended by the local IBEW. Very nice, professional, and thorough. I look forward to doing business with Dave in the future. read more

Bar none, Dave is the best home services professional I've ever worked with. Dave worked with me for several days on various electrical projects that needed to be done in my home, ranging from rewiring, inspections, adding outlets, and hiding chords, to arranging what is now a beautiful home entertainment system with a wall-mounted flat screen T.V. Not only is Dave a quality electrician, but he was able to go above and beyond and complete projects that required a bit of innovation on his part. I don't usually give such shining reviews, but I sincerely recommend Dave for any project requiring an electrician. He is an exceedingly friendly, honest, and conscientious electrician with a very reasonable rate and his workmanship is top-notch. Thanks Dave! read more

Very happy with Dave's job!! Found him on Yelp last year and have been calling him for electrical projects for my house since. He is very friendly and always a pleasure to work with. He is very honest and his pricing very reasonable. Will definitely recommend Dave --- he will not disappoint!!! read more

After reading all the positive reviews, I recommended the use of Dave's "Quality" Electric. I was very disappointed, maybe all Dave's friends wrote these reviews. Anyway, here are the points of non-satisfaction: 1. His source of communication - must use a cell phone and a lousy one at that. Lost connection 3 times during the conversation. 2. Dave must be "busy" as his schedule to fix the electric problem was 2 days later..I would think no access to electricity would be more important than a 2 day time slot. 3. Dave did not seem too enthused about a possible customer. ended up using another electrician service that was located in the phone book and they came out to fix the problem 2 hours later..that is what I call service. read more

Needed an Electrician to come out to switch a 220 outlet to a 110 outlet. Originally, I called another electrician that was recommended by a co-worker, which didn't work out because he kept postponing me. Called a few others and they all quoted me pretty high. So I went on yelp and just searched for a local electrician. Making calls down the list, which I finally got to Dave. Dave ensure me it was an easy job. I'm giving Dave a 5 star because he was able to fit his tight schedule into mine, same day service. Dave was very knowledgeable electrician. Friendly and prompt on time, he also gave me the best pricing in the area. read more

We were introduced to Dave through our contractor when we bought our present home and embarked on a major renovation 5 years ago. Dave is the "Go to Guy" for our contractor and he is our "Go to Guy"! We have used him for at least a dozen large and small projects. I've been dazzled repeatedly by the seemingly impossible requests we have made and he makes it look simple. He has been a great consultant on the Home Sound System and Security. He also builds surfboards and is a bit of a whiskey aficionado. Great Guy! We are delighted to have him as a member of our "Team". HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

I have used Dave multiple times over the years, he just came back this week to install more recess lighting and repair an outlet for me. He has to be one of the nicest guys ever. He does quality work and always goes above an beyond. He was super busy when I reached out this time but he is definitely worth the wait. I trust him and have been consistently impressed by his work. We are so happy with the finished product! read more

Dave is great! Always calls back, shows up on time, very reasonable rates and knows how to explain all things electric and give options if you want them. And as the name says, Dave is Quality Electric! read more

Seemed really on top of it when we called. Send pictures via email. Was suppose to call before he came. Never showed. No call. Nothing. If he felt he couldn't do the job, then he should have said so from the start. Now I am calling another electrician, and will have to take another day off work. So much for the 5 star rating he had here on Yelp. read more

After speaking with Dave over the phone, I knew this was the guy for us. He asked lots of questions about the house and seemed to really understand our neighborhood and its dynamics. He came out quickly to look at all of our issues. He calmed my fears about some and showed me where real problems were. He checked my circuit breaker box and quickly fixed a very big issue with some loose connections. He installed a new fan and found that the old was improperly hung. He went under the house to find the tripped outlet that for some reason controlled out kitchen island power and our sump pump. He changed out all of our old recessed florescent lights to LED's. And, he will be back as we want to install a couple more security cameras. He does it all! He's affordable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Very thankful for the awesome experience. I highly recommend. read more

I recently had Dave install some recessed lighting in the ceilings in my house. He also helped fix some outlet issues and install a new doorbell and did it all exceedingly well. Dave rocks, hands down! I tried him out for a few minor repairs because he had great reviews and he's local for me. Recently he helped me with a bigger project and he got the job done quickly, with a lot of added features and improvements that I didn't expect. He is willing to share his knowledge and explain things. He does great work and takes extra care to make things perfect. He's a nice guy, and fun to work with. Dave did mount our tv to the wall and rerouted it from one area of the room to the other in April of this year. He was on time and very friendly. His rates are reasonable. Used him a few times for various items. Super fair and prompt. He's my first call for any project.

Dave is very very very good! Half of our house was without power and none of the breakers flipped yesterday. We didn't have power in the whole kitchen and garage that made me so frustrated. We tried everything and a friend came over to help, but it didn't work. I called Dave and text him in the evening after a long day's frustration. He asked some detailed information and figured out that it might be the PG&E connection problem. And he is correct! I called PG&E. They sent people to our home and worked till early morning. Everything is fine now. We've got our power back. I am so happy and so thankful for Dave's help. We didn't pay any penny for his professional advise, you know. He is really good and super professional knowledgeable. Highly recommended! read more

We called Dave to have him fix our fluorescent lights in our office. He was able to come out right away the next morning. He came, looked at the lights and determined that the ballasts needed to be replaced. He provided us with an inexpensive and more expensive choice of ballasts and lights. He could have easily sold us the more expensive versions, but he didn't. There were 6 lights out and he was able to replace them in 2 hours. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely call again for any future electrical needs. Thanks Dave! read more

We are very happy with Dave's work! I called Dave last night to get some help with electrical problems at our rental unit. Although Dave did not come out to help us, because he was booked, he was a pleasure to talk to on the phone. We were without electricity in the front of our house, and he was able to talk me through to how to fix the problem myself. Wow! It was great that he provided me with free advice. He was also kind enough to offer to come late in the day (after all his other jobs) if I found no one to help me. Anyway, he sounds like a great person to work with. read more

We have used Dave for several years - projects both big and small. He is great! Reasonable rates, competent and a super nice guy

Dave is great! All the outlets in my living room stopped working. I called a couple of other local electricians that quoted really high prices to even come and diagnose the problem. Dave showed up a day after I first contacted him and spent about 2 hours trying to find the issue. He came back a couple days later to fix the problem, and he only charged me $200 for everything! I was on a tight schedule, because I was about to put my condo on the market. He delivered fast and excellent service. read more

Called Dave last week to do some wiring for a bathroom remodel, he asked me about the job and I described the 4 simple tasks I needed done. He said that he didn't need to come see the job and he would do it for time and material. I agreed and asked him if he could come this week, he said he could not however he could come on Monday the following week. Again, I agreed since the reviews on Yelp were so great. I called him the Friday before to confirm and left a voicemail. When Monday arrived, I called him 30 minutes after he was supposed to be at my home, and he said he was "running late" so I asked when he would get here, and he asked me for my address. This raised a flag and after more questions he admitted he had no intention of coming to my home, but if I still wanted him to come out he would. I asked him if he would hire someone who just admitted they were unprofessional, and he said "I don't know it's up to you". So that's where I leave this review, "it's up to you," if you want to hire someone who may or may not show up. So now I have to take another day off work. I have to reschedule my plumber, drywall and tile contractors. Worst part is he had no empathy, really didn't give a crap...worst contractor ever. read more
