The manager lied to my face. Third time they rotated them. They offer a shuttle service and I work a few miles away on the same street. I booked the shuttle and my early AM appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. Brought my car there and the shuttle van wasn't there. No big deal I was there 15+ minutes early. After about a 1/2 hour the van still wasn't there. my appointment was 1/2 hour into the appointment and they still hadn't started the car. Normally I would leave it for the day. After nearly an hour (the car should have been done at this point!) I asked for the keys and left. After the manager lying about rotating the tires (twice) this was the last straw. I haven't been back since.

Phone system gets you an overseas answering service which rings the manager - no answer, they will call back. No call back a day later, ring again and you can leave a voice mail - again no call back. Ring up the technician onsite, who says you should call corporate. After reaching out to customer service at corporate and being re-directed to different departments, finally someone answers their phone and says they can help. Again this sounds like overseas back office contractor. They cannot find the Customer ID number which is printed on my invoice. They said to send an e-mail to the corporate address they provided. No response to the e-mail. Send a backup e-mail a week later, and still no response whatever. I have finally decided to give up on this useless Monro customer service and use Yelp to share my experience. This company only cares about taking your money, and could not care less about working out any problems you may have after their service. Their response tag line is, "We're not in business to disappoint customers" but that is exactly the effect of their customer service process - there is no support provided, and disappointed customers will not bring their business to this company again. The problem is with corporate management cutting costs by taking away customer service. You are much better off patronizing any other company where they might care about keeping their customers happy.

Each time when I showed up for the appointment I was told that they were too behind and didn't have time to look at it. 3 fucking times within 4 days! I understand they're busy. But I'm not asking them to fix it. I'm looking for a new car, so I just want them to check it out and see what the problem is. Why should I schedule another appointment?! So I can show up a 4th time when they're too busy? I've lost all respect for this shop.

It ended up being a head gasket that was causing my issue. I ended up doing the head gasket myself. When I pulled the lower intake, I found the gasket was never done. Even after I showed them pictures they still said it was changed. I have been running an industrial maintenance shop for 30 years. I know what is new and what is not. I think I am going check my thermostat and see if that was even done.

There was no problem with alignment when vehicle was brought in and when I inquired about what they did, the gentleman behind the counter could not answer me. The vehicle when I drove it away now pulls hard to the right. Clearly they screwed up the alignment, which in turn forced me to go another day to have this rectified. My rims which were immaculate are also scuffed, scratched and from what we saw on the video monitor thrown on the floor by the tech. If you value your vehicle I would not take it to this location.

Dave's Garage should be put out of business. They charge an outrageous fee for towing from the town lot across the street, $200 or better and that's if you pick it up within hours of the tow. They have some scam going on hotel rented spaces in the town lot which you pay to park in. People say Dave's ( Dave Lavoie) is not to blame for the tow but his blatant overcharges are certainly his fault, I will be contacting the IRS for the reward of tax evasion from this scumbag and for his brother Mike Lavoie who drives the tow truck and hope others do as well. Here is the procedure for reporting to the IRS If you suspect or know of an individual or company that is not complying with the tax laws, you may report this activity by completing Form 3949-A. You may fill out Form 3949-A online, print it and mail it to: Internal Revenue Service Fresno, CA 93888 If you do not wish to use Form 3949-A, you may send a letter to the address above. Our car was totaled by a drunk driver on 195. We were halfway between our point of departure and our house and didn't know a single soul in NH. Dave's driver explained the billing procedure and explained that it was a police ordered tow and could not be taken where we wanted to go, which was back to Maine. He said that we should pay for the shorter tow and save the longer distance one for AAA to pay. The next day I called from Maine to find out about the car. The guy with whom I spoke (Lindy) was very kind and professional. I was still pretty much shaken up from the accident and this was very much appreciated. They subsequently towed the car to Maine and I was delighted to see that an item presumed lost at the scene had been carefully placed on the front seat. Thanks Dave's! read more

It's the woman, who shall remain nameless, who answers the phone that keeps tripping up what should be a smooth, well-oiled experience like it was years ago. Ultimately, getting a direct, straightforward answer from her has proven harder than getting my kids to do their chores, and the tone is about the same, too. There's this steady drip of condescension, as if every question is a personal affront to her. And there are the sighs, the putting on hold, more sighs, and then there is the "Take it or leave it" edict. More than once, I've called needing work done, found myself hanging up mid-conversation, and immediately dialed another shop. In fact, the last couple of times I've called, I didn't even wait for the frustration to build; the moment her voice hit the line, I simply hung up and spared myself the aggravation. There have been times I've asked for clarification or if there was any other availability after she's issued her verdict; it felt like I was stepping out of line and challenging her authority. Which is a strange experience when all I'm trying to do is support a local business and throw money their way. I mean, I get it - it's a busy shop, lots of moving parts...That is not an excuse to be void of a little appreciation, or even a modicum of basic courtesy, which shouldn't be too much to hope for. Tim, I hate that this reflects on your business at all, because you've always been, and I'm sure still are a solid, trustworthy place. Judging by how full your lot is, it's clear you're still a local favorite. All I'm asking is this: please send a little of your empathy and human skills her way. I'm sure she's a perfectly nice woman when she isn't answering the phones, but something changes the moment that line rings, and it's impacting the experience, at least in my opinion, in a way that doesn't match the quality of your work.
