My family has been taking our vehicles to Graham's for over twenty years. The work has always been solid, the prices a touch higher than some shops, but worth it because Tim stands behind everything he does. If an issue comes back, he makes it right. That kind of integrity is why we've stayed loyal for many years. However, there has been a lingering problem that keeps giving me pause, and it has nothing to do with the work that is performed by Tim and his mechanics. It's the woman, who shall remain nameless, who answers the phone that keeps tripping up what should be a smooth, well-oiled experience like it was years ago. Ultimately, getting a direct, straightforward answer from her has proven harder than getting my kids to do their chores, and the tone is about the same, too. There's this steady drip of condescension, as if every question is a personal affront to her. And there are the sighs, the putting on hold, more sighs, and then there is the "Take it or leave it" edict. More than once, I've called needing work done, found myself hanging up mid-conversation, and immediately dialed another shop. In fact, the last couple of times I've called, I didn't even wait for the frustration to build; the moment her voice hit the line, I simply hung up and spared myself the aggravation. There have been times I've asked for clarification or if there was any other availability after she's issued her verdict; it felt like I was stepping out of line and challenging her authority. Which is a strange experience when all I'm trying to do is support a local business and throw money their way. I mean, I get it - it's a busy shop, lots of moving parts...That is not an excuse to be void of a little appreciation, or even a modicum of basic courtesy, which shouldn't be too much to hope for. Tim, I hate that this reflects on your business at all, because you've always been, and I'm sure still are a solid, trustworthy place. Judging by how full your lot is, it's clear you're still a local favorite. All I'm asking is this: please send a little of your empathy and human skills her way. I'm sure she's a perfectly nice woman when she isn't answering the phones, but something changes the moment that line rings, and it's impacting the experience, at least in my opinion, in a way that doesn't match the quality of your work. I've had such wonderful experiences at Graham's Tire & Auto over the years! I feel like it's time to share with others that if you need automotive care, tire services or automotive advice, this business is the place to go. Today was yet another example of exemplary customer service from the wonderful employees at Graham's. What prompted this review is that I had a slow leak in one of my tires from running over a nail in the development springing up around me. My low pressure warning light kept coming up on my dashboard after putting more air in my tires. It was Friday before noon and although they were very busy, Maria answered the phone and was sympathetic to my situation. I was able to drop off the vehicle and received a phone call a short time later that the vehicle was ready to go. The price for the tire repair on a busy Friday in the summer was exceptionally reasonable, too. Very reliable service with a smile and my wallet wasn't injured. Great! Maria even helped me with an estimate for some new all-season tires and it was below quotes from other tire sources - and included installation! Do yourselves a favor, if you haven't been here before, support a local business and bring your vehicle to the best mechanics in town. To say, I am thrilled with my experience at this auto center is an understatement. I was on a road trip with my young children when a rigs tire blew out, and I ran over the rubber of it. This incident caused the cover of my undercarriage to bend and drag on the road. I was able to get my vehicle to Graham tire and auto and they had me fixed and ready to go in under an hour. Tim is absolutely terrific, and it's become crystal clear over the years that his approach comes from a kindly place. They are always ferociously busy ~ which is no surprise ~ but always make time to take care of my Gretchen. Tim even periodically reaches out to ask how she's doing, and always in a kindly, caring manner, not a...solicitous one. Even when I specifically asked about the aging of my tires, recently, he didn't pounce on that opening. He gave me his honest assessment that they were still good to go. Tried to tell me my exhaust with a stock Cat and a resonator with two mufflers was straight piped and blamed on NH state Laws even though the same shop has passed it in the past with the same exhaust. Gave me some shit story about it being aftermarket what do you know I call around and got it inspected else where a waste of time and money usually have a decent service but the guys were unprofessional even making comments like I don't know what I'm talking about I did my research and was blatantly lied too. Every shop in NH has passed my car with that exact exhaust no questions asked don't plan on going back. read more

Got a flat a month or so ago... been driving on the spare ever since. Yesterday, we were finally determined to get it fixed. It was brand new and un-punctured, so we had a feeling a mechanic (or anyone on Earth who knows anything about cars... we sure don't) would be able to fix it. We pull in here on a whim. One of the mechanics identified the problem (something about a valve), fixed it, and changed the tire back... 10 minutes and $25 later, we were driving away happily. He wasn't the friendliest guy, but mechanics never are. He communicated with us in grunts and hand gestures, but at the end of the day we have four working tires and a spare, and didn't break the bank. read more

We were exploring and were almost 3 hours from home. Our car starting making a grinding sound when braking. We searched the area and found Graham Tire & Auto. We plugged it into the GPS and headed on over there. We arrived at 4:25pm; they close at 5pm. The staff was friendly. I explained the situation. They got the car in and diagnosed the issue. They gave me a quote and I told them to go ahead. They changed the rotors and brakes on both front wheels all before they closed and came in under their quote. I bought my tires online and they shipped them there for free :-) Graham had the best price for install and balance and disposal, almost half other places. I made an appt for the following week and went there today. I have a Ford Fusion Sport with side skirts on it and I swear every time I go to Regan ford they can't put it on the lift properly and the side skirts bow out...so I mentioned this to Dan at Graham and that I wanted to get the best tire back to make a spare. Dan had my car brought in on time, finished on time and guess what...... Side skirt intact and they put the tire in the trunk in a plastic bag! Good deal. Only downside is the place is cold, and I am always cold, so I should know better, but hey for an hour it wasn't too bad. Thanks Graham Tire, I can see why your place is so busy! Quality no nonsense auto repairs and care. My wife have and I have been going here for several years for state inspections and repairs. Last time we took the car in for a oil change/ inspection. Tim and his team figured out what has causing a noise eminating from one of our wheels which was luckily covered under our car's warrantee. The year before we took it to the dealership and they didn't diagnose the problem. When we had an older car Tim and his team did a great job of repairing all of the various problems our car had. What I really like about the place is that they are not pushy in any way. Just a quality auto shop without the up selling which is common at many commercial autoshops and dealers. read more

This place is a joke. I made an appointment several days in advance. I arrive before my appointment and find there is literally no place to park. After double parking basically at the entrance, I go in. I'm told my service (alignment) will take 60-90 minutes. I go for a walk, come back 35 minutes later and my car still hadn't been touched. I made an appointment for a reason, so I went in, told them I made an appointment for a reason and I was no longer waiting. I got my keys and left, never to return. Lousy. read more

I stopped by to have an small tire for walk behind lawn mower mounted. I first spoke with an older man who was nice and we talked about the 1/4-inch damage to the wheel and how the tire was being used. He said it should be ready tomorrow. Great, I thought. Then the man next to him looked over at the wheel and said it was damaged, when I mentioned what me and first gentleman discussed, he appeared disgruntled, made a snide remark, and began laughing with a customer joining it. We spoke for all of 15 seconds and no other solution was suggested. I completely respect someone not wanting to taking a job, that's the business's right after all. What I don't respect is someone that mocks you with another customer laughing after a ~15-second conversation. That was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I had a much better experience at Sullivan Tire. The tire was successfully mounted and works great! read more

Another great thing I like about his service and his team is that they will look a little deeper and see if there are other things needing to be done. Scumbag sevice! Man put my powder coated rim on his tire machine scored up the metal then told me there's nothing you can do about it to take it to his other store. I took it there and the "manager" asked me what I want to do. I expressed I was upset I didn't cuss until after he told me "ya know what Roy.. I don't wanna help you." He started by asking what can he do for me I said "can you change them without ruining the others?" Seemed like a valid question. He said "yeah I can but I'm backed up a few hours"I said "should I come back?" He said "do what you want" I say " how long" he says "I don't know, what do you want?" I said " to scream cause I just watched my wheel get chewed up (jokingly) but just to get my tires changed" he says " ya know what Roy, I don't want to help you" .... Plainly WORD FOR WORD. I said "well don't you think that's crappy business?!? Your company destroys my rim now you tell me to take a hike?!?" He said "yeah right pal of the thousands of people I do work for, THIS is crappy whatever" I've never dealt with such a ridiculous ignorant idiot in my life. Tim was personable and professional and even offered to take me home and pick me up due to length of time it would take to complete the work. Follow up to previous review: this business did the right thing, which is so rare in such a profit-driven business climate. Tim, the owner, reached out to me to see how we could find resolution. After explaining what I thought was a fair and reasonable mark-up on the parts for my brake work (pads and rotors), Tim refunded the difference(overcharge) back to my original form of payment. While many auto repair shops would have snubbed me after writing a not so glowing review, he actually was genuinely wanting to make it right. I am happy with the price now. Alleged specialists in tires who can't seem to balance wheels correctly. My car shook like crazy at higher speeds after I got it back. They tried to tell me it was a tie rod. I brought my car into Graham Tire and Auto for a vehicle inspection. My tires were worn out, and I knew before consulting with their mechanic that the tires needed to be replaced in order for me to pass the state inspection. I dropped off my car and requested a quote for replacement tires and any other services that might be required in order for the car to pass the state inspection. Their price quote included an alignment. The wear on the old tires was uneven, but not dramatically, so I told them to replace the tires and forgo the alignment, considering that it wasn't causing a concern with the safety of the vehicle, and therefore should not be a factor in regards to the state inspection. They told me they believed otherwise, and that I would not get an inspection sticker from them, unless I agreed to have them do an alignment for the cost of over $100. For this reason, I will not return to their garage. read more

I was a mechanic for 30 years. I was also the technical editor for a car magazine. I've always found Graham tire to do good, honest work. And by the way, a loose wheel bearing, a worn tie rod or a worn a-arm bushing are all items that can cause a shimmy at certain speeds and not others. read more

Don't come here unless you're OCD and want every last thing fixed with your car. I went for an inspection and they tried to tell me that I needed to pay for so many things to be fixed in order to pass inspection when it wasn't true. They overcharge for parts as well. I found parts online for half the price they put in the estimate. I'd highly suggest not going here. There labor hourly rate is almost double that other shops. On the estimate they told me it'd take an hour to fix a window switch. Fixed it in 30 seconds with a flat head screw driver... Don't trust these people. But they do a thorough evaluation of your car so if you got money to blow, go here. read more
