The driver got the car operating and recommended that I service a poor connection at the garage. A fellow employee of Dave's Auto stayed late at the garage to bring me and my groceries home. First thing early the next day the repair was done at a reasonable price. Great service and people. Joe

I was charged $600 for the labor. I was told it took two guys an hour and a half to change six spark plugs and the engine air filter. I sat there and watched and it took less that 60 minutes. And during that hour, the lead mechanic took 2 phone calls and spent 10 minutes on each phone call. His assistant, that he seemed to be teaching, just stood around while he was on the phone. I questioned why it was so much and was told by the owner, Tom, that it was completely justified. He was upstairs in his office the entire time. This is the first time that I have been to this business and I told Tom that I would never come back because I can't afford their prices and I also felt that they had taken advantage just because I'm elderly. I also told him that I would never recommend his business to anyone. He told me to do what I have to do (basically get lost). He's been in business for many years (After having read some of the other reviews. I'm surprised he's still in business).... I have to say I am so very disappointed, because I wanted to give my business to this small business man in downtown Hampton. But I can't afford his prices and I feel that he took advantage of me and is not an honest man.

I was not nimble enough to get up under the dashboard. Mechanic is busy with a customer, but I asked how he could help me. I had my users manual open to the correct page, and told him I needed a fuse replaced. He asked me to give him 5 minutes. He politely asked the customer with whom he was working, if they would mind him taking 5 minutes out. He looked at the diagram and replaced the fuse. "You're all set", he told me. I thanked the other customer, and gave the mechanic a tip for his time, and consideration. Simple appreciated fix!

We brought the car into Gorman's for a brake and rotor repair (far cheaper than Subaru), and mentioned the noise offhand. Aaron took it for a quick drive and knew right away that at least one of the wheel bearings was causing the noise and needed repair. He suggested we get it done since the brakes were being done anyway and it would save us money. Our car has never been this quiet! I am blown away. Brakes are working great, too. We were going to walk back to get the car, but instead Aaron picked us up downtown!
