This really couldn't have been any easier. I drove away with my brand new 2025 Hyundai Sonata H-Trac with all wheel drive within 2 hours of making my purchase decision. The salesman Ben was a pleasure to work with. No high pressure bull crap, just quick answers to all my initial questions with no foxy pauses to consult with the manager or finance team. I felt like I was working with a neighbor and that he was on my side. I even decided to consider a second vehicle mid-negotiations and Ben was great about it and listened carefully to my concerns that I was worried about a 2-wheel drive car in New England winters. We landed on the Sonata and I took it for a test drive. My initial impressions of the car were very high. But 4 days and 400 miles later I am in love with the car. I have been fortunate enough to own many expensive vehicles in my lifetime including the truck I also presently own which is a high luxury vehicle costing over 3 times the price of my Sonata. I can say so far that at any price the Sonata is one of the most comfortable and best performing vehicles I have owned. It is very futuristic. The interior especially feels like a gaming cockpit and the seats are as comfortable as any expensive gaming chair. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Avoid this dealership! The sales team, specifically Kimberly Gately, was extremely unprofessional and insulting. My wife and I reached out to see about negotiating on the out-the-door price for a used vehicle, which is often part of the car-buying process. Our questions were ignored the first two times we asked, and on the third time, Kimberly told us that the vehicle we were interested in was not in our budget without any knowledge of our budget. Simply telling us that she would be unwilling to negotiate on the price would have allowed us to potentially move forward with the purchasing process. Kimberly made an assumption and chose to be insulting instead of answering our questions. I refused to continue working with this dealership after such terrible customer service on a simple request. The service department is in a tough spot, but ultimately didn't follow through on their promises. Hyundai is currently testing for and denying a problem. Simply put, their engines burn too much oil. My wife and I found our 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe was burning through a lot of oil between changes. I was regularly buying 5 gallons of synthetic oil and going through an entire bottle. We brought the car to Hampton Hyundai to run us through the following diagnostic: - Perform an oil change and seal the engine's oil cap and drain - Drive 3000 miles total, having Hampton Hyundai check the oil levels every 1000 miles When I discussed the issue with the Service Department manager, I explained how fast it had been burning oil. I was concerned the diagnostic would damage the engine leaving me out of warranty and out of luck. He addressed these concerns saying "If the check engine light comes on, bring it here right away". I was informed it was important that I bring it to Hyundai's service department and not a third party. The check engine light did turn on around 800 miles into the diagnostic. I brought it in as instructed and was quoted a $200 diagnostic fee. This would be waived if related to the oil burn issue. I agreed to this - a mistake on my part. I was called later and informed the issue was related to a sensor. With the diagnostic fee, parts, and labor I was looking at about $550. I knew I would have to pay this, but felt taken advantage of since the manager had instructed me to come in if the check engine light came on. The response: "You should have known it (the check engine light) wasn't oil related because it wasn't blinking", a distinction the service department manager never made me aware of. I blame myself for agreeing to the diagnostic fee. When we came back to have the oil looked at for the 1000 mile interval we were abruptly told that the diagnostic - which was supposed to be 3000 miles total - was over and our car was fine. Between 200-300 miles after the diagnostic ended, I added 4 quarts of oil to my engine. 1620 miles since the diagnostic unexpectedly ended I have added another 6 quarts. That's 10 quarts of oil during the period the diagnostic was supposed to encompass. I would advise against buying a Hyundai in the first place, but I especially would not visit Hampton Hyundai for your purchasing or service needs. read more

I'm so very disappointed in Hampton Hyundai service dept. I bought my car there, have had it serviced there, yet when the check engine light came on, I had to wait a month to get an appointment. Then, I was told it would be checked and fixed (I had the code for it) in a couple hours. The appointment was this morning. After waiting over an hour for them to evaluate it, the finally went up and asked if it was checked yet. "Oh, yes". So, why didn't anyone come tell me?! Then I had to ask for estimate. "oh, I'll get it...". They should have offered that right up. Ok, so now they give me a loaner car because it will take a couple of hours. Fine. 3 hours later, I call, and it hasn't even been started yet! I'm more than ticked off! read more

2021 Palisade. went this morning for just an oil change. No tire rotation. I provided them with the the new OEM oil filter that I had purchased from them a while back. I had contacted their Service Dept. 2 times and 2 different men told me Palisade oil change, no tire rotation was about $70.00. For some reason on each call they couldn't give me an exact cost for an oil change no tire rotation and I provide the new oil filter ??? when-completed I got the bill, it was $85.00. I questioned the guy and told him that I had provided the new OEM oil filter and they had quoted approx $70.00. he said that the price was because the Palisade takes 7 quarts?? I had previously told 2 different Service guys that it was a Palisade, and they had me in in their computer system. They KNOW how many quarts of oil a Palisade requires. Anyway, job done. it's little wonder why Car dealers get bad reviews. read more

SO laid back that they didn't leave enough gas to go to a test ride. went to get gas after i left and drove around for like three hours to get my money's worth out of it.. didn't end up buying bc the salesman didn't really have any negotiation skills. laughed at me when i made the offer which was a inappropriate considering the car had been in an accident before and other cars in this model had been listed for less or the same price with less miles. oh well. ‍ onto the next. read more

bought a 2021 hyundai sonata blue hybrid new here and ever since I bought this car it has issues. should of just called it a lemon and been done with it but here I am in 2024 still dealing with issues. the heat didn't working october 2023 they fixed that. now the ac hasn't work since April and i'm at my wits end with this car. it's been there 4 TIMES trying to figure out why the freon doesn't stay in my car and empties out. they can't figure it out and can't find a leak. now they ordered this special tool they said won't be here for a week and now i've had no ac with a toddler in a very hot spring and i'm not sure what to do anymore. The manager suggested the buy back program but reading reviews it doesn't sound like it's a promising thing. don't buy a new hyundai car or if you do research all you can because I did and I still am getting burned by hyundai. read more

I took a new key fob to this location to have it programmed. In the process of programming my new key fob they made my old key fob no longer work. They at no point prior to programming the key fob made me aware that this could happen. They refused to reimburse me for the original key fob nor replace the original key fob and claimed it was not their responsibility. Absolutely garbage service. read more

I am happy with the car I bought at Hampton Hyundai 2 years ago. As part of that purchase I was told I would be entitled to complimentary oil changes and tire rotations for 3 years or 36K. Both the manufacturer and dealer recommend oil changes every 6K. I brought my car in 4 times, with no problems, but when I went in the 5th time at just under 30K, I was told I was only entitled to 4 oil changes. Obviously this was not what I was sold, and the service desk clerk confirmed that I am not the first person to complain about this. I sent an email to Hampton Hyundai with no response. So be aware of this bait and switch technique employed by Hampton Hyundai. read more

Our first service appt for our 2005 Elantra at this dealership. The appt was easy to make over the phone and I dropped off my keys in the drop box after hours. A part was ordered but wasn't the correct one so it needed to be reordered and picked up so I made a few more trips to and fro but overall things went well. Breaks, rotors, struts replaced as well as a few minor things. I got follow up phone calls and emails and will try going again. read more

My 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT spewed oil in the engine bay, undercarriage, and the bottom of both doors within a few minutes during my commute to work. The oil light never illuminated, but I heard rapping and tapping that sounded like a blown motor and I shut it down immediately. Jason, the service manager, never bothered to even start a claim with Hyundai to ask for some coverage (motor has 112k). He told me that some engines consume more oil than others. The entire front of the vehicle is covered in oil, and I am to believe it is just normally consuming oil. I have a six-year loan on a car that is on the second blown motor (the first one was a botched oil change from another Hyundai dealership at 12.5k miles). Jason sent me to the sales department where I was offered a six-year loan on an older car with more mileage for another $200 per month. Or I could get a six-year loan on a new Hyundai that they won't guarantee will last over three years. I'm not a mechanic, but I am pretty confident that spewing oil is not 'Normal for some cars.' read more

I'm happy with the Hyundai Kona that I leased here. The only complaint I have is that the $400 turn in fee at the end of the lease nor the $300 Purchase option fees were not disclosed at the initiation of the lease. I only discovered these buried charges when I examined the lease more closely after taking home the vehicle. It certainly was educational, but disappointing. read more
