Jalapeno Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries
    Evan B.

Located near 35 this place is a must go to for both locals and people visiting. It's simple and welcoming. Anyone is sure to feel comfortable here. Decorated with all the info about the zipper ripper which is their legendary challenge. Look at the photo for information on it. The food here is made fresh, it's hot, and it's delicious. I ordered the jalapeno cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, cheese was perfectly melted, and the meat was well seasoned. My fries were cooked well and not soggy or overcooked like sweet potato fries sometimes get. The sodas were good too! I loved the root beer. It almost had a little vanilla taste to it. The onion rings were really crispy and hot too. The staff were really wonderful and kind.

We were passing through and decided to grab a quick bite. Customer service: C (based on the lack of personality of the young cashier) Location: A Parking: B- (Available, but limited) Atmosphere: A Food quality: A- I'm not sure if the young lady working the cashier was new or unhappy, but her personality & customer service skills gave off "wet mop" vibes. However, the older lady working in the kitchen was very friendly and welcoming. She spoke to us along with the folks behind us. I was low-key worried the beef patties would be unseasoned and lacking flavor. I was pleasantly surprised with my first bite of the burger it was juicy and seasoned very well. The onion rings and fries were crispy and seasoned as well. Everything was delicious!!! Lastly, the entire restaurant was clean and smelled very fresh. Roni's pick

G wants her bite. She loved the sweet potato fries.

Jetting down to ATX for the game and decided to see who had a great burger along the way. Just a few blocks off I35, you need to pop in and get this burger. Good old fashioned burger stand w friendly people and fast service. Lots of choices to make the burger the way you want. Oh, and there are epic brownies and Rice Krispie Treats as well as Ice Cream. Come on know. You know you want it.

Hits the spot. This is a casual local burger joint that is fast and friendly. No hidden frills. Cheeseburger and fries will probably cost you around 8-9 bucks. Friendly staff, and clean environment. What makes this place truly special is the challenge the Zipper Ripper of eating a boatload of food in 12 minutes-- to see if you will win or lose! It is definitely very Texan and a great place to go for a quick bite with friends. Also they have a nice ice cream selection and speciality sodas. Locals love it.

It came with this amazing poppyseed dip that made it even better. We also ordered the cheese poppers with jalapeño ranch and definitely underestimated them. They were crispy, curdy, and super addictive. The chicken fried steak was another win. Hand-breaded, flavorful, and covered in their homemade gravy. Straight-up comfort food. Dessert is a must. We got the banana pudding meringue and absolutely demolished it. It's said to be one of the owner's mother's recipes. The atmosphere has a clean 1950s vibe with retro decor and vintage car parts everywhere, which was pretty fun and different. Our server, Cindy, was super friendly and gave great recommendations. Overall, really solid experience. Would definitely come back.

The retro themed eatery with gas themed memorabilia is an eye pleaser. The meals are served in old hubcaps, just to keep you submerged in that classic ol' timeliness. Regular burger was delicious with a side car of their fried okra. Kids meals are a wow factor as they use those 3D cardboard replica boxes of cars. Ours now drives around Barbie dolls! Their hours can be a bit inconvenient if you don't plan accordingly to eat here (open 11AM-2PM). Don't let that stop you for adding them to your Waco vacation plans!

We stayed for about 40 minutes and then were told the kitchen was temporarily closed because it was so backed up and it was probably going to be 2 hours before we would get our food. We decided to go elsewhere but that we would come back when the have a chance to work out some of the kinks. Well today was that day. First off the vibe is good. Plenty TV's for gameday variety and a happy excited energy flowing through the place. We were seated right away and our waitress quickly brought our drinks and took our order. We got a Cowboy, a Chili the Kid, the three sliders, a kids chicken tenders, and some cheese fries. The Dogs and the sliders were all delicious. The tenders were a bit bland but they had a nice hint of heat and the breading was nice and crunchy. We wish they had a regular ranch instead of the miso ranch as an option. The cheese fries came out cold and it looked like they just put a Kraft Single on top and stuck it in the microwave. They were a bit underwhelming. Over all the prices felt a bit high... $11 for a hotdog seems steep and I felt like I could eat 2 of them.
