    Lunch counter

We saw this little hole in the wall on one of our many trips up and down I35 but hadn't stopped til Today. Cupps is a small restaurant located Just off the access road a block. We enjoy experiencing the Mom and Pop Businesses along our travels. We popped in to fine about 5 booths and a long lunch counter with a row of stools so you can watch the action at the grill. While it wasn't much to look at, the staff was friendly, tables were clean and their bacon cheeseburger and fresh cuts fries were some of the best I can recall ever having. I'm Glad we stopped and we be back again for sure

Super friendly service and all the charm of a "hole in the wall" diner, the food was delicious as well! Great sweet tea also. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the bacon was very crispy; and although the burger had a lot of stuff on it- it did not fall apart. The ladies checked on us often - loved the customer service here!

This hole in the wall joint made the best burgers! We ordered a cheeseburger basket that came with a burger, small fry, and can soda. I was a little apprehensive because of the looks of the place, but was splendidly surprised when I got my food. Burger was moist, fresh vegetables inside, fries homemade. Everything is cooked in the open where you can see it. I'm so glad we came by. I definitely would come again. Oh, and the service was friendly. That's always a plus. Because of these things, I can overlook the way the place looked.

Lunch plate. Just nothing but delicious

Eaten here on several occasions and it never disappoints. Today was the steak finger lunch plate and hubby had the double double cheeseburger. Great staff, super friendly. Lucky enough to score a booth. Their hours are 11-2. YUM YUM! Your tummy will thank you.

    Cheeseburger!

We got seated right away around 1:30 pm on a Friday. There appeared to be only two servers covering the entire room but they did a pretty good job of it. Our waiter, a young man was quite pleasant and knowledgeable. He used an electronic order taking device and was able to customize anything we asked for, right in the device. Three of us ordered shakes. My friend loves Coconut Cream Pie, which they have and she was considering a shake. I suggested she ask our server if he could make her a Coconut Cream Pie shake with vanilla ice cream. Sure enough, he did it and it was quite tasty. For lunch, we ordered as follows: - Patty Melt with Tots (shared by my wife and I) - Kids Finger Basket with 1 Chicken and 1 Steak finger and tots - Steak Finger Basket with Tots The food was very diner diner-like (fried or flat top grilled) and it was tasty. This was a decent and fun lunch and we'd stop here again.

For dessert, Apple pie with ice cream -- good and reliable. Lemon meringue pie -- disappointing despite a well-executed meringue; crust crumbly; texture and taste didn't quite align, with a subtle metallic lemon note. After two bites, not appealing enough to finish. If you're after traditional diner food, Kim's delivers on core items. Dessert may be hit-or-miss.

Meatloaf and brown gravy tasted like it had been made early in the week, and was cold / congealed and had an unpleasant texture. Onion rings were hot and fresh. Server had to be reminded to bring the cornbread muffin and utensils. Server was pleasant but seemed distracted. As for my dinning partners, the had they Reuben that was generous with meat, and a Breakfast spread of Eggs, Blueberry Pancakes, and Pattie Sausage that looked good. The staff are always friendly and the food here is amazing!! We came back last Friday to celebrate my birthday. I was so happy to find out that they now take reservations using the Open Table app. It was super easy to use and I booked my reservation a few weeks prior to getting into Waco. We were greeted by the friendly hostess who seated us promptly since we had reservations. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and my husband ordered the farm breakfast. We ordered the kids breakfast for our 3 year old which came with pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. We also ordered a side of biscuits with strawberry jam. We got our food hot and made fresh to order. The croissant sandwich was filling and delicious. The croissant was super fluffy and light. Everything was perfect!!! Our son told us that he loved his pancakes. Our waiter came by frequently to check on us and make sure everything was made to our liking. 10/10 recommend for their high quality service and food. That's why I was genuinely disappointed to find out that the chicken Caesar sandwich has been removed from the menu. It might seem like a small change, but for regular customers like me, that sandwich was a standout item and one of the main reasons I kept coming back. It had a great balance of flavor and felt like a reliable go-to every time. Taking it off the menu without a comparable replacement feels like a missed opportunity and, honestly, a bit frustrating. I completely understand that menus evolve and restaurants need to make changes, but it would mean a lot to see fan-favorite items like this either return or be replaced with something similar. Milo's still has a lot going for it, which is why this change stands out even more. Hoping this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended--supportive, but coming from a very disappointed regular.
