We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to choose a table of our preference. The waitress quickly came over and grabbed our drink order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. She also informed us they work as a team so we can stop anyone when/if we need something. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment. I am one of the owners of Cupp's Drive Inn. My name is Sherry Caughenbaugh.. My family has owned this cafe since June of 1988. My mother has worked here since 1957 when she was in her twentys with the original owners. She has kept the recipes the same. Our parents have recently retired so my brother and I have taken over. We have old fashion hamburgers that are greasy and we toast our buns. Fresh cut hand peeeled pototes. We also hand battered our onion rings, chicken fried steak, Steak fingers. We didnt season our food for the longest time because so many people cannot have salt.. But we are now are seasoning everthing so if you cant have salt just let us know. I hope you come by and give us a try. We do accept debit and credit cards exept american express. Thanks! read more

Without a doubt the very best hamburger in the Central Texas area. The people of Cupp's are the best you can find. I only wish I could go there more often as I live out of town. It is worth the trip for a great burger, fries, or anything on their menu. read more

A few months ago, they started this strange practice of serving partial orders. If you have a family of four, they'll call your number when one or two meals are ready, and then you wait another 7-10 minutes for the rest of the order. By the time everyone has their food, half the family has either finished eating or their food is getting cold. TOTALLY CRAZY!!!!!! Today was much worse than just the separated orders. The burgers came out hot but were BURNT to a crisp. The onion rings were burnt as well, while the tots and fries were embarrassingly undercooked. They were barely warm, and a couple actually had that still-frozen bite in the middle. The service didn't help. The kid taking orders and handling the phone looked like he had just rolled out of bed. When I asked the girl working the shakes about the second half of our order, she was zero help. Instead of trying to find out what was going on, she literally took a big step sideways and disappeared behind the shake machines. What makes this so disappointing is that Health Camp has always been one of those Waco places we could depend on. It can be hard to find somewhere open on Sundays, and we always knew Health Camp would be a reliable choice. Unfortunately, after today--and with the partial-order issue becoming a regular thing--that confidence is gone. I really hope management gets this figured out, because this was absolutely NOT the Health Camp we've known and enjoyed for years.
