Dave was great very knowledgeable and professional. Regraded and laser lever lining a new pool up to an existing deck. Total team was great.

If I could give a negative star review I would... but I have to at least give a single star. Everything from start to finish with this man was atrocious-- I thought I had found the next most entertaining star on facebook who I believed was an honor to get on his wait list.... little did I know I was hiring the most unprofessional pool man I had ever met... from being super unorganized to frantically calling last minute when he was FINALLY ready to show up, to screaming and swearing at his employees (who looked no older than high school/college age) to belittling and making a mockery of my mother and I in our own yard, to his grown man temper tantrum's, and the list just goes on... and the cherry on top of all of this is when he did "install" (I will use that term loosely) our new liner mid June, the pool didn't hold water once all Summer... So after him being a shit show professionally and personally he did the most botched up job on our liner I had ever seen...We spent our Summer playing detective trying to find the hole and where was our "installer" you ask... no where to be found. We texted him weekly to inform him of our issues and asked for help and assistance to solve the problem, trying to go about it the right way even after he had been a complete arrogant jerk to us and he never once answered. To this day we have yet to hear from him... Now that I look back I guess it makes more sense in his "directions" he passes out, he specifically says no pictures or videos, probably so no-one can see the poor quality work he does. I usually am the first person to post a positive review and I think its equally as important to post when your experience is THIS BAD.. I am just hoping I can save at least one person from making the same mistake that I did.. Do NOT fall for the whitty fun guy you see on his facebook, the people who post nice things are either paid actors or his close friends that don't know him on a professional level (or lack there of). $1200 later, total rip off by the way.. Also if you go to his Facebook you can actually see him post nasty things about certain customers when they don't do as he says--- Super unprofessional and disgusting if you ask me.. read more

You should stay away from Dave who has questionable business conduct. First, he inspected my pool and told me that the pool wall needed a full day of work to repair. He charged me based on that and it turned out that it was only light work. Second, after installation, the pool has leaks. When I contacted him, he said the liner wouldn't leak and it is not his problem! So I paid him more than $8k and and has a leaky pool, and it is my problem? That means he has zero responsiblity/warranty for the work he did. If you are ever considering him, pay him like 1 year later for the remaining fee otherwise he would just disappear. read more

Don't waste your time with this company. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Was nasty from the start. Did not come prepared and acted like it was our fault. read more

Dave and his crew came today. He showed up exactly the day and time he said he would be here. Dave also called me the night before to confirm. My experience is that his communication was excellent. He quoted me a price to take down and haul away our 15x30 pool. He did the work for exactly the price he quoted, without any BS lines when he showed up. He and his crew came to work, they did the work in about an hour and left my yard spotless with not so much as a screw on the ground. Dave is down to earth, informative and upfront. Dave will be installing our new pool, so stay tuned for part 2. As of now I am very pleased and looking forward to continue working with Dave and his crew. read more

spoke originally about some work and never confirmed a date. month later calls to do the work and i got someone else and didnt need him and explained why. He then became argumentative and hung up on me. would never recommend this guy and looking at other reviews I am glad I didnt. read more

I would rate this interaction less than 1 star if I could. I felt like I had to chase Dave around for an answer, then he came to my house and told me he couldn't do the job after telling me he could do it no problem. He left and I never heard from him again. Bad communicator. Do not recommend. read more

Although Dave came by the house quickly, we paid over 1000 for him To install a new liner. He left without filling the pool and within 3 days all Of the water leaked out. When we called him back he was not answering the phone. i left him a Facebook message and he finally called back that night. He stated that he would be by in the next few days but we never saw him again. We ended up having to buy another new liner and have another pool guy come by to fix it. The other pool guy found the hole in the liner Dave installed. i lost over $1200 in the whole experience. read more

Daves Above Ground Pools - Hole In liner - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me - Peabody, Massachusetts

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Dave Thibodeau at Dave's Above Ground Pools. I placed a call to discuss my pool liner that keeps lifting off the liner track on Wednesday, 7/3/2024. Mr. Thibodeau returned the call on the holiday, and I wasn't available to speak with him. I placed a call with him today, 7/5/2024 and when he returned my call, he exhibited a rude and unprofessional attitude. He informed me that he had spoken to my husband on the holiday, which I was unaware of this exchange since I typically handle pool issues. Mr. Thibodeau seemed impatient and annoyed throughout the entire call and did not appear to be interested in what I had to say. When I tried to explain a specific issue, I was having with my pool, he cut me off and acted as if I was wasting his time. This level of disrespect is unacceptable. I would say that the company would benefit from addressing these customer service issues, however, since Mr. Thibodeau is the owner, I do not expect any recourse. I will not be using their services again and will be sharing my experience with others to prevent them from going through the same frustration. read more

Finally got a call back, he was unfriendly, brash, unhelpful, said he was very busy and to try back, but why would I?

Dave's above ground pools did an exceptional job on my 24 round with deck and fence he did it in one day !! with only a one week notice in the middle of the summer which is incredible Not one wrinkle and nothing left behind in the yard very clean work ! He was referred to me by three different people each one saying he does incredible work Thank you Dave !! read more

My wife made the initial contact with Dave and he called back within a day. That is the last positive thing that I can say about this guy. We own a Ester Williams slatwall pool that had been out of service for many years but now that we have grandchildren were looking to get it up and running again. Enter Dave ... almost immediately he began to address me in a demeaning manner, at one point telling me that he "was the pool guy" meaning that what he had to say was gospel and that I as the pool owner had no right to question what he said. He gave me a quote on a liner install ($800) with an added $300 for sand, which I considered reasonable. He told me that he couldn't make it out for at least two weeks due to his workload. I was well aware that the pool needed some additional work, leveling and other ground work but told Dave that I felt capable of getting that all in order before he arrived and looked to confirm that if I contacted him for the installation that the prices were $800 plus $300 for a total of $1100. At that point, I provided him with our address. He then became extremely belligerent and told me that he had given my wife a price the year before. When I told him that was not the case, which I later confirmed with her, he called me a Fuc#ing Liar and hung up on me. My wife contacted him on Facebook and he apologized to her for his confusion but made no mention of his behavior towards me. I could not let this incident pass without a note to any of you out there looking for someone that I would consider worthy of doing business with. For me, Dave would not make the list. read more

Dave and his crew replaced my above ground pool liner and skimmer. It was more than a great job. Dave went above and beyond to get this one replaced. It almost didn't happen but Dave with his genius figured a way. It required more than a quick in and out liner replacement. A bit of carpentry and some good old common sense got this done. Very happy read more

Dave installed an above ground pool for us. He did a FANTASTIC job!! I would highly recommend. He was punctual, knowledgeable, energetic and has a great crew. A++++ service! !!! read more

Daves Above Ground Pools - Thanks to Dave's Above Ground pools my pool is up and running.. bring on summer!! - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me - Peabody, Massachusetts

Dave's Above Ground Pools is amazing. He build my pool wicked good. Looks amazing and no wrinkles in my pool. #norocksinmyyard

I called Dave's Above Ground Pool on a Friday afternoon and he returned my call on a Sunday evening at 930pm and we had the most unprofessional conversation. He was rude from the beginning of the call to the end. The size of the pool was a problem for him, it seemed the idea of doing work would be a problem for him. I would not recommend a business owner that does not understand the basics of sales/customer service. I finally just said I was not interested and hung up. read more

They did a horrible job on my 15x30' pool! The pool was put up crooked on the spot where the previous pool was. Because the pool was put up crooked, the supports did not meet with the wall and all the screws were exposed. The skimmer always leaked because nothing could be tight since it was put up crooked! The bottom of the pool developed big underground holes in the sand in many places. The pool only lasted four years and has been removed now. What a waste of $1600 given to his "crew" who spent most of the time smoking and tossing the butts all around the pool! BEWARE!!! read more

Wow!!!! Dave is the God of pools. This guy is amazing, and what a great personality. He came out to look at our job, booked us a spot and showed up on time. Dave and his crew knocked it out of the park. I would highly recommend him to anyone. read more

I would recommend Dave's Above Ground Pools - we were replacing our filter (not a big job) but they were at my house within a day or so of us calling to inquire. They showed up Sunday morning, Father's Day, about 5 guys, replaced the filter in no time. Best Father's Day Present my husband could ask for ('cause he thought he could do it, LOL) They were courteous, worked very fast and offered information about replacing other parts. Thanks Daves Above Ground Pools! Suzanne M Danvers read more

Dave postponed initial install date by 10 days then shows up 3 hours late, 30 minutes before sunset and complains to us how his guys are tired and want to go to bed. He decides to pull apart all the pool parts laying them all over our lawn then decides to pack it up to come back 3 days later. Calls later that night and states he's not going to make it and if we still wanted him to install the pool it would be at least a few weeks. All while treating / talking to my wife like a 3rd world citizen. He spoke so rudely to my wife my neighbor actually confronted me about it. read more

Dave fixed a huge wall and Liner problem for me. He was very fair in his work. Always returns his calls and literally does work 7 days a week, as he came to my home on a Sunday. I'll be using him each year! Thanks, Dave read more

The best! Always does a great job. Knows what he's doing, is always on time and gets it done right. Dave is professional and courteous.

I have to say Dave's Above Ground Pools is the best! I did not think this job would be able to get done since I have a weird driveway. I have three steps that go down from the driveway to the yard, but Dave found a way to get it done. He built a stairway so that he could get "blondie " down to the area where my pool was going. (Blondie is his bob cat that he uses to prep the area - lol) Dave and his crew worked hard from start to finish and I have to say that I am impressed. He got it done fast and professionally. He definitely takes pride in his work. He also records the process of his work and post the videos on his Facebook page which is pretty cool. If anyone needs a pool guy, Dave is your man! read more

Do NOT use Dave's Above Ground Pools in Peabody, MA. I contracted Dave to install an above ground pool at my home. It was late June and they were predicting intermittent showers all week. Dave called me the evening before to confirm and even made mention that they were predicting possible showers. The following morning, Dave called me at 6:30AM to tell me that he didn't have a good feeling about the rain. He told me that if it rained and his crew had to stop working, the price would go up to pay for him to come back to finish. Needless to say, we didn't get a drop of rain that day. When I told him that on the phone that I would just find somebody else to do the work, he yelled at me, told me that everybody on the Namco list is junk (which he is NOT on) and then hung up on me. I bought a used pool ladder from someone a week later off of Craigslist and the woman told me that she used Dave and he rescheduled on her 3x times in the middle of the summer prior to coming out. I ended up using Pools USA in Revere. They were actually the cheapest quote that I received and they did a nice job. read more

Thank you Dave. You have saved us from this nightmare from NAMCO POOLS. Bought a pool from them in March. Got a scheduled date for install on May 8th 2017 by Perfection Pools. What a shit job that the intaller did. End up calling Dave Above Ground Pools. I send him a message through Facebook, he called me right away. Explain the situation we had. Dave came to install the pool and we couldn't be happier. My kids are finally going to enjoy the pool. My husband is so picky, but he approved. WE LOVE OUR POOL. THANKS AGAIN DAVE. read more

these guys are thieves selling shoddy junk , my pool is only a year old and leaks he refused to honor the warranty and if you read the fine print its vague and as a result, all of his warrantys are useless ,i'd sue but it would cost more to do that then get a repair from a reputable company their repairman showed me all the installation errors and low grade materials they use ,he said they should be ashamed, but crooks seldom are.......You guys really need a zero stars feature.... read more
