Great experience at Dave & Buster's thanks to Big Murph. Made sure our party of 13 had a great night!

This is the worst service I have ever received. Upon arriving to the food/bar area we were instructed by TWO girls to sit at a place that they pointed at with minimal instruction. We asked again and they did the same thing. We were confused because all tables had previous food and drinks from another group. So we decided getting a table was too difficult so proceeded to sit at the bar. The bartender, very rudely told my friend to move because someone was sitting there. We moved as she said and then started talking about us to other customers. Not sure if this was bigotry at play towards Hispanics since we were all very evidently Hispanic. When we got to the table, they asked us if we wanted it wiped down. LIKE YES OF COURSE WE WANT IT WIPED DOWN WHEN THE DELTA VARIANT IS BEING SPREAD. We ended up using my hand sanitizer to clean the table after they wiped it down and the napkins were black. These are very rudimentary tasks to do as a server. I would know. I was a server working for $2 an hour. Wipe down the table and hand utensils. Very simple. The server took forever to get us our drinks because we saw him at the bar standing there for 10 minutes with the drinks ready as he was talking to his coworkers. When we ordered food, it was not medium well as my friend asked for and we all thought the food was disgusting (our stomachs hurt after). My boyfriend couldn't even finish his food. My pretzel dogs had raw dough on the inside which ended up making me puke an hour later. I will attach a photo here. My boyfriend went ahead to play games since the service took forever and we had to keep signaling the waiter. He said the games were greasy so obviously they don't clean. A fun addition to the Willowbrook mall! The prizes are priced at high tickets but it is expected. The food is good. The games are very fun and it is very easy to spend a lot of money here, as how addicting the games can be. As a tip, I would recommend going during happy hour to be able to save money! read more

This rating is strictly based on game floor as I didn't dine in. I've been to six different D&B. Thought this was the worst one so far. Game selection isn't as good as Palisades or Woodbridge. There were broken games on the floor too which takes away from the fun. read more

Slow service. Manager keep roaming around keeping a blind eye on tables that needs cleaning. Floors in the booth area are sticky with spilled food or sething. Seats are also dirty. Manager checked up on us once after he passed by several times. He shouldn't be asking us while the food was already on the table. Manager should have seen we've been sitting at D&B since before 5PM. It's almost 7 now, and we just finished eating our main course, and lost appetite due to the long wait. We are still waiting for our dessert... hopefully we are done before 8PM here.... read more

Went to D&B's last night for some gaming to relieve some stress! LOL Had a lot of fun, they have a lot of game variety, it's clean, and wasn't that crowded b/c it was during the week. I got some aggression out playing shooting up dinosaurs on Jurassic park....which was well needed! The only thing I was really dissappointed in is the food. I prob will go to another restaurant and just come to D&B's for the games in the future. They changed their menu, and took a lot of the good stuff from past off. Keep in mind it's been a while since I'd been to D&B's. The prices went up (of course), and I feel like the portion sizes didn't really match the prices (you didn't get a lot for your rmoney). A lot of spicy stuff, and "funky" food, and they had different stuff on their bar menu than the regular menu - like I would have enjoyed potstickers or chips and guac but they were only on the bar menu. I also was bummed in the choices on the card combo menu. They had an unlimited video game option with unlimited sliders....but it had to be the burger sliders, it couldn't be the chicken. The other combos were mainly burgers, spicy stuff, and chicken fingers. I wish they'd open up the card combos with any meal, as it's a better deal. I only go to play video games, not win tickets, so an unlimited card would have been awesome! I understand the unlimited sliders/unlimited video games combo - but open it up to chicken sliders too. The service was OK..... we got there and were just wandering around b/c the bartender told us to "sit anywhere". Then someone came to seat us finally. The waitress was good though. She was new so had to ask about some stuff, but overall extremely nice and came to check on us several times. read more

I've been going to the D&B in West Nyack with the family for years and it was always the same experience; good games and prizes but the service was horrific! Then the one in Wayne opened which is much closer so I figured win/win...closer and the service can't be as bad, right? Wrong! I can't imagine how it takes 20 minutes to get a drink and 30 minutes for wings and sliders. Don't get me wrong, I'll keep going with the family for the games because it's a blast and everyone has fun. However, I'll never sit down for food & drink ever again; it's simply frustrating. Games and entertainment - 5 Star Service - 0...Seriously, upper management needs to analyze the training they have in place for the service portion of the business. read more

I use to work at this place. I quit due to the direction this job was heading down. They're very disgusting, they serve customers the incorrect food even sometimes not even fully cooked, the utensils are constantly dirty, theirs flies are everywhere. The servers aren't attending the customers in a timely fashion. I would have customers constantly ask me for they're server and they'll still be waiting. They'll be tables available but they'll have food all over them from previous guest, having other guests wait a hour knowing tables are open. They even serving minors. It's bad in there, lot of people quit because of the situation they put us in. They need new management. To top it off they offered me more just to stay. read more

My party and I were upset after eating. First, we have trouble being able to actually place our order on our forms and the code. Second, when we ordered our food and the waitress arrived, she practically threw our drinks at us. Our drinks were served warm and with no ice. Thirdly, one of my party's members had a bunch of small chicken tenders and someone else in the table next to us had a burger that was basically falling off the bun with grease. I ordered a burger medium and it was way over cooked and burned. I was told happy hour was 4-7 by two different employees only to find out there's no happy hour on Sunday's meaning I had to pay full price for my drinks. Just had my son's 11th bday party at the Dave & Busters, in Wayne, NJ (@ the Willowbrook Mall). Kids and parents ALL had an absolute blast!! The service and food were amazing!!! We had 17 kids and several adults, and not a beat was missed in service. Our server, Shania, worked very hard to serve everyone quickly, including food for the kids, platters for the adults and TWO birthday cakes. A big shout out to manager Big Murph!!!! Need a chair? Boom. Need napkins? Boom. More player cards? Boom. Is everyone happy? (We were!) He was on top of everything!! Thank you to him and the staff!! Planning our next party there!! read more

Awful. The bartenders walked right by too many times count without even acknowledging my presence. It took twenty minutes at a barely packed bar to get a drink. On top of it, the drinks are watered down. The women's bathroom was disgusting with toilet paper everywhere and clogged toilets. Gross. Never going back willingly. read more

I went to this disgrace in Wayne and it was a dump! First of all, they introduced me to a new phenomenon called cold and burnt Brussel sprouts. We sent them back asking for green ones instead of black ones. After 45 minutes we got green ones on top, and THE SAME black ones on the bottom! It was a complete disgrace considering that I am obviously 7 months pregnant and they didn't seem to mind poisoning me. The avocado toast tasted like mayo and corn on wonder bread. We complained to management and turned to watch the tv until the proper food came. Guess what, someone changed the channel on purpose! We told the waitress and she said "You should have told me!" Huh? We're telling you now! My friend ordered a lemonade and they brought her a slushee. The lemonade vs the slushee had different pictures, different prices, different straws, and different ingredients on the menu but the manager still argued that it was the same. We waited 45 minutes for the appetizers, 45 minutes for the virgin drinks, and 45 minutes for the check. By the time the check came we were so tired we couldn't even bother playing any games. Do you think we got a substantial discount? Think again! They nickel and dimed us, charging us for food we couldn't eat and inflating the tip calculation. I didn't have high expectations for the food. That being said, at a party of seven people, the food was barely adequate. The kids were fine. It's hard to mess up chicken fingers and burgers. I ordered Thai chicken salad in attempt to be healthier. While the greens were fine, fresh, and Crisp, the "grilled" Chicken pieces were a little cubes that were so dry that I could've use them for a craps game. The kids had fun. But this place is my personal nightmare. I guess if I had ordered something more laden with fat and calories, I might've had a better experience. The kids had fun though. read more

I came here on a Saturday night with my boyfriend (we figured we would check it out and see how it compares to Nyack). It's not somewhere we go often, but we were both excited that it was opened so locally. The wait wasn't terrible (this was probably a couple weeks or so after they opened), but it definitely was crowded with a lot of people and unfortunately it was impossible to play nearly anything because it was so packed. I like doing the trivia game and that's not there at all. After watching a back and forth between women (one of whom had two kids) over a damn claw machine, it was time to go. Went on their second day of business just to check out the place. Didn't really have much to eat, just had some chips and salsa and a coke as a quick snack since I already ate prior and had things to do later. Since I came at opening time, they treated me very well and promptly gave me my food and drink after asking for it. This location is also much bigger than the other NJ location that opened in Woodbridge, giving more room to customers to have fun. I see this location doing very well. read more

Fun place. Not as big as the one at Palisades Center but larger than the one in Manhattan. A good number and variety of games. Looks like the restaurant section has a lot of tables. Nice bar area. LOTS of TVs tuned to sports. Everything is on the 2nd floor, but there is an elevator. There was a good number of people there, but it wasn't overly crowded. The two employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Two minor drawbacks: It would be better if there was a mall entrance in addition to the outside entrance. Also, if you have a D&B card from the NYC or Palisades D&B you have to have someone activate it so it works at this one. I waited on line for about 10 minutes for activation. But overall this is a fun place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Glad we finally have D&B's in NJ. read more

LEAVE THE KIDS HOME!!!!! If you want to take your kids to an arcade, go to the pizza place with the rat! I thought the whole concept was an adult arcade? Too many morons with strollers blocking the isles...WTF? This place is going to quickly descend into a mommy brawl-fest,( like Chuck E Cheez) because the whiny, self absorbed, no manners, snowflake kids don't know how to wait their turn. Tons of little brats banging on games thinking they are playing when the machine is in demo mode, and "parents" oblivious that people are waiting to play. Couldn't get to half the recharge kiosks for the same reason. Kids taking all the skee balls out one machine to use in another. Granted like fools we went on a Saturday evening, but we foolishly again thought this was a bar/restaurant/ arcade for ADULTS!!! This location needs to follow the D&Bs "curfew policy" as listed on the company website. Oh a 2 hour wait time for a table to eat, even though 1 out of 3 tables were empty. No reservation system on website or app. We might go back at another day/time, and try to try the food, I will update the review accordingly. read more

It's a great place to go. It has a great atmosphere. It's fun for all ages. The games are fun. The food is great. They have great drinks. All servers are nice and kind and the bartenders are good. It's great for family and fiends. Also great for work parties and birthday party's. read more

Very disappointed with the food service here this afternoon. I was sitting in a party of six and I was the last person to have received my order, which is very awkward because we should have eaten all together. I spoke to manager Donna or Donny (young lady with a pony tail), she didnt provide much customer satisfaction to be honest, she really didnt give too @!!#!. Enjoy playing the games but dislike the food and service. The waiter took forever to bring our food and bring us our check. It wasn't a busy day at all maybe they were understaffed. They had no vegetarian options at all. They had like 6 burgers in the menu and not one was vegetarian. Every place I go out to eat has at least one veggie burger, it's 2018. The menus were so gross when you touched it and the tables were not kept clean. I would return for the games but never for the food. read more

Came here for nephews birthday. My review is only about the food as games will be games. I was excited for the buffalo burger, but when it came out it was well done (I ordered medium) and looked so poor with tiny pieces of celery in the bun. I went to Dave and Busters with the family and I must say, we had a great time. We entered and was seated in the restaurant area immediately. We were greeted by our server very quickly and drinks were ordered and brought out thereafter. We ordered our appetizer and food. All of our food came out on time and was fresh and hot out the kitchen. And I must say, the food was very delicious. Our server was very attentive as well as other servers asking if we needed anything. This was very appreciated. Thereafter, we went out into the play area and had an even better time. We had so much fun, that we didnt even notice the time was late. We had a great time regardless of what other viewers experienced and will come back for more family fun! read more

The one waitress jay jay real cool, but not only did they get the happy hour times wrong but they also spilled food all over the table next to us, all over the the customer. I had been to the D&B out in Irvine, CA and Palasades Mall. I believe the D&B in Wayne, NJ is perhaps the best location of them all. The service was tremendous and the food was good. We had a lot of fun playing the games too!!! read more

Dave and Busters Dining Failed! The dining experience is horrible at DB Willowbrook Mall! The management has set the servers up to fail. Customers will tip lower and the servers will suffer because of the horrible business plan of the restaurant. 1. There are no clear directions to the location of the host for dining. 2.No one explained the offer to eat and play- so of course we paid more 3.Hostess and servers are carrying on with personal conversations while many people are waiting to be seated 4.Very unclear that there are multiple dining areas 5. Many empty tables but the wait was still over an hr 6.Took 20 min for server to come greet at table 7. Took another 20 min for her to bring 3 glasses of water 8. Took 45- 60 min to get food served. (Mind you we gave our food order with our water order) 9. If you sit outside of the restaurant to eat, the servers will have to carry your uncovered food through crowds of people.... not to mention have quick conversation with another server while holding your food under their mouth. Yes I watched this as we waited for our food. Tip: sit inside restaurant closest to the kitchen Ok now we are finished with our meal and asked for the bill... the bill comes quickly Now we sit for 20 more minutes for our server to return to get our payment. Took so long anyone else could have just walked out without paying!!!! It was not only us but the tables next to us on both sides were complaining and waited to get their food as well. Long review made short. GO TO DAVES TO PLAY, NOT TO BUSTERS TO EAT!!!!!! Perfect example of doing too much with tour business plan!!! This is the second D&B in NJ that I have been to! I really liked coming here! I was here because of my cousin Cooper's birthday. The games were great and so was the food! The place is definitely bigger than the one at Palisades Mall and Woodbridge Center. We had a blast! However, the only downside about this place is the service. Even though the wait staff was friendly, the speed of the service was SO SLOW! But on the bright side, the restaurant, in general, looked mostly clean (except for a couple of the mini plates, which were covered in crumbs).Overall, we had a great experience! Id like to start out by saying that the expectation for a Dave and Buster's nowadays isn't high. When my partner and I heard of there bar opening we decided to give it a shot, because my sisters in law and her friends went and had a good experience. our visit started with Casey, super cool dude, then was taken over by the female bartender Nadia. Those two are a cool team to have behind the bar, we spent the whole time laughing and drinking amazing Henny Strawberries!!!!! Was invited to a company Xmas event. The waitress that was serving us was friendly but not very quick and got some of the orders wrong. The food took forever and by the time we got it was barely warm. I ordered grilled salmon, it was dry, over cooked and didn't taste very good. Most of my coworkers didn't finish their plates. They said the food was either too salty, had no taste or just wasn't very good. It was very disappointing especially when the check came close to $200 and everyone was still hungry. We ended up eating at Cheesecake Factory which cost us less. I feel sorry for our boss who paid for everything he was really looking forward to a great experience at your place. The games were okay just so overpriced. The place was crowded and the bathroom was kinda messy. It could have been cleaner much much cleaner if u know what I mean. My coworkers and I wanted to know you put in so much money building the place wouldn't it have made sense to put in escalators instead of steps.??? Or have more elevators?? The steps are a safety hazard especially for elders and kids. I saw kids sliding down the rails. If someone ever slips or falls on those steps there is a major lawsuit there. I just don't understand why would you want customers to climb up and down those steps. It doesn't make any sense to save money???? Also didn't it make sense to have a mall entrance into the arcade besides having just the outside entrance. What if there is a fire do you expect everyone to run down all those steps?? I read the reviews AFTER coming here, everything people have said has been pretty spot on. Waited at the restaurant here for 40 minutes after asking bartenders and waiters consistently if anyone could attend us. Our waiter was Tanisha, and may the lord save her because she's the WORST waitress on the face of this planet. Not sure how she go hired here, but thats another story. Anyway, It took her 25 minutes to bring us our waters and they still forgot to bring one. We waited 40 more minutes for our food and got half of it - ordered steak nachos, we got COLD CHICKEN nachos. We didnt even have utensils so we all ate with our hands. 15 minutes later, we were halfway done with our food and asked for utensils and ended up getting them when we were all done with our meals. Not sure how Tanisha thought the rest of my family was going to eat their food which was not exactly finger food, even some napkins would've been appreciated but we got nothing. Ended up speaking to the manager, got some lousy coupons that we have to purchase $20 worth of chips/tokens in order to redeem it. Never coming here again and don't recommend this place to anyone unless you like trashy service, cold food, and eating everything with your hands. read more

Love the location, friendly staff but eating here was awful. I've seen glaciers move faster than their servers. It took over an hour for 4 people to get their food & we only ordered apps to share... Asked for no bacon on one and it came with bacon and never got one of the drinks. Took about 20 more mins for the server to come back and gave us severe attitude about it. read more

Ok so yes it's Dave and Busters. But I have to say we were there with a large party of adults and children-Probably 15-20 adults and 10 kids-On a Saturday. During winter break. The place was mobbed. But we had a booth in the bar area. My only complaints are about cocktails we ordered--but shame on us for ordering something more fancy than a beer or a vodka soda (or the adult snow cone which is always yummy). The food was good. But what singles this experience out for me was the service we received. We were greeted immediately by Murph, one of the managers I believe. He was so friendly and made sure we had enough space etc. (not s formal party just a big group of friends celebrating a bday). Our server, Rome was amazing. In a FULL bar he was by the table every 10-20 minutes or so to see if anyone needed anything. The food came out promptly. The kids meals Were great. I've honestly had worse food in an "upscale" bar and grill type place. It was all good and hot and not sitting under lights forever before getting to the table.
