The Stromboli is incredible! Lots of flavor, great bread, meat, cheese yum!!! Oh, and the bread and butter pickles on the side are delicious too! The inside is really cool! Lots of booths always a plus, I U memorabilia, TV's playing sports, a bar, all in a very warm and inviting down home college hang out. I took home one of their great glass mugs. Took a keychain home also on the at out. Just nice friendly staff in a great college town. Oh, I will say I don't like mushrooms but on the way out we saw a plate of breaded mushrooms and my goodness they were huge and looked good. I might've tried one. Ha

NICK'S ENGLISH HUT IN BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA IS NOSTALGIC…read more============================== I attended a parent's cocktail party about nine years ago when I visited IU during the student orientation for my son. I had fun, had a beer and collected a Nick's Hut glass jar/glass. Fast forward nine years and my son and daughter-in-law had their "Welcome Party" the evening before their wedding on Friday, June 19, 2026. This was after their wedding rehearsal and dinner elsewhere. We had a great time on the second floor that was totally reserved for our big group. They had more food, beer and other beverages as well. Kind of cool to attend events before my son started college and years later.

I'm not a big fry lover, but I loved these. The wrap was just okay. They forgot to put dressing in it, so I had to ask for a side and then dip my wrap in it. They don't arrive quickly, but they're worth the wait. Secondly, there's a good variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes. Several were tried, including curries as well as tandoori. All were good. Thirdly, this is formal dining, and served correctly. Not plastic plates, not table service in a crowded noisy venue. Although it's a "sports bar", there is no cacophony of noise, although the monitors are distracting. Also distracting is the fact that the Edison lights sit low, and those seated can see these bulbs across their vision too easily. It's actually quieter than its competition, and there is stiff competition. Service is good and not overbearing, also not distracted by whatever the waiter/waitress is looking at on their phones. Parking is downtown, and therefore horrific on a good day, but there's a parking garage nearby. Recommended without reservation.

It was now raining and relocating to another packed restaurant with an 84 year old grandmother was not an option. I am disgusted with the treatment provided to 3 IU grads, a former little 500 champion, and a large # of guests. It left a stain on an otherwise spectacular weekend. They were a bit busy but it didn't seem like a huge crowd today. We sat outside again. I knew what I wanted immediately, and placed our order as soon as our waitress came over to greet us. A cheeseburger for the kid, and a pulled pork sandwich for me. I've never had theirs before. And I never will again. And fries. We got fries. The wait was insane. At least a half hour for very simple dishes. The kid got a tiny burger. Beef and bun. No cheese, no ketchup. I had to ask for cheese. Yes. They messed up a cheese burger. Then there was my pulled pork. It was literally inedible. I've since come to learn that it was not reheated properly, so the goo that covered every bit of meat was fat. It was served cold, for some reason, and the way it was presented on the menu, listed under a picture of some yummy browned wings led me to believe it would be a very different - and HOT- sandwich. The server did offer to take it back, but at that point the meal was ruined for me and I didn't trust them to make anything else, or make it quickly. I made it clear I was very unhappy about such a disgusting sandwich. She took all of 10% off my bill. Better than nothing, but a lot less than I was expecting. if this is how they're doing things now, I'm done with this place. Badly overseasoned fries... cold pulled pork... cheeseburger with no cheese... I mean, come on... and based on what little I caught from people at another table, getting food out seemed to be an issue for them. I'm not sure if any other places nearby that aren't just bars serve decent food, but if they do, you can definitely give this place a hard pass. Yuck.
