Star Wars themed drinks?! Yes, please!
Carina S.

The Cade is a fun bar experience if you're looking for something more than just the regular drinks experience. They have wonderfully themed cocktails from the likes of Star Wars, Rick & Morty and more. There is a small cover charge which is worth it to play the various games they have set up. There are arcade games, pinball machines, Nintendo classics and so much more. Seriously, this is a great spot to enjoy a drink and unleash your gamer, nerd self.

Not much needs to be said. Went when it wasn't awfully crowded and had a blast. $3 cover is worth it to play NBA JAM over and over again.

There was a $5 cover, but all the games were free to play (except pinball) including the N64 consoles, so it was well worth it!

Jump in Joeys is a place that my daughters and I went on Saturday in Bloomington Indiana. It was…read morevery crowded but it was pretty good it's average I must say they do have about four bouncy house things and it's real easy to lose your kid with so many kids run around all anxieties, through the roof because you can't see home and there's big kids jumping around everywhere a little kid is it and on my daughters group kind of bored we're just doing the bouncy's after about 30 minutes and all the games and things cost extra money so we were already pretty tapped out on money so it's an OK place once you pay your money to get in I wish some of the Games were included with the money just to get in the door. I didn't think all of them should cost extra but it's OK

Just went to Jump'n Joey's for the first time yesterday. Overall it was a pretty positive…read moreexperience, although after having a kid that's been in quarantine lockdown for the better part of 2 years, some of the games were very loud. The party area looks fun, and the entrance rates are certainly reasonable. There are plenty of games to win tickets from, and the bouncy areas look fun, big, and bouncy. The staff was super friendly. We had an issue with the very first thing my kid wanted to play. They took time to solve the problem and comped us a few tokens. There were a few things that didn't work or weren't on, but that's normal for any place like this. We didn't try the snack bar, but maybe next time. If I have one knock, it's that there isn't even a single sign to suggest people stay masked right now. It was only when I left that I noticed not a single person was wearing a mask. I normally wouldn't care, but with Covid numbers at an all time high locally, at least putting up a sign to suggest it would make me feel better. I plan on going back sometime, preferably when there are hardly any people there for now.

My girlfriend used to love The Bishop when she was in school, but after her experience a few weeks…read moreago, she won't be back. She and four friends (a group of five) walked in on a Thursday night and were told by the bartender she wouldn't serve them as a group of five because she was "the only one working." Oddly, she said she would have served them if they were a group of three and a group of two. They offered to come up one by one to order instead. They did just that--individually bought beers--but when one of her friends (a Black man) walked back outside within the rails of the establishment, the bartender followed him, grabbed the beer out of his hand, and poured it in the street. She claimed it was "past the rail," even though other groups in the exact same spot were drinking without issue. When they asked for clarification, she eventually handed another friend ~$7 cash to give back to him. The whole situation felt discriminatory, especially since the group was diverse (including Black, Arab, and LGBTQ+ friends), respectful, and well-dressed professionals. Meanwhile, other patrons were not treated this way. To make it worse, when one of them asked a simple question about whether the former owner still ran the place, another customer started yelling at her, saying "everyone knows [owner's name], that doesn't make you special" and the bartender did nothing. What should have been a normal, fun night out turned into an incredibly uncomfortable experience.

I'm kind of fascinated at how many ways the building has been used. What looks like a front door isn't, and when you walk in, there is a glass partition that looks like it used to be the place to check in. The inside is totally old school, which is probably one of the coolest things about it. Anyone who grew up going here can bring their kids and probably have the same experience. They sometimes host roller derby matches and host fund raising events, I think. There is a chance that off season, if you go when there is a lighter crowd, they may not be fully staffed, which stinks if you want a bite or a fountain drink. The outside does look very tired. There are pieces of metal on the building that were signs once, and the tarp with the name and logo of the business is badly faded. The music is usually really loud, so be ready! They play some fun games during open skate, but those can also vary depending on whether or not they are fully staffed. The 4 corners game is a fun way to win a piece of candy or two. Definitely a good way to spend a few hours. The claw machines are what I call "bad claw". Beware!!

If you are looking for a classic college bar then this is the place to be. I think it compares well…read moreto college bars you see in movies where it's cheap and a little gross but there's a lot of history and reputation behind the name so people still go. On the weekends and during the school year the place is filled shoulder to shoulder and the patio is a super fun time where you can meet tons of people. $2 Tuesdays and other cheap drink deals are nice but are fairly common throughout Bloomington with other bars like Upstairs or Brothers. I haven't tried the food but the service I've had has been great so far, bartenders have nice personalities. One important red flag is that the servers will add in their own tips or double charge cards because most people are overserved and are too drunk to notice. My card was charged twice for two completely different amounts when I was absolutely sure I only purchased one drink and used my card one time. My friend's card was charged $20+ more than what his bill was and the process of disputing these charges is a major hassle so I can see how they get away with it so often. Kilroy's and Sports both have serious issues with overcharging/double charging cards so check your bank account after you leave!

The pickle spear fries were actually really well done! I didn't try anything else. I did NOT appreciate leaving smelling like fried food though. The worst.
