Also looked like they had a projector if needed but we didn't use. Nick was helpful and the Mill provided tables, table cloths, and a backdrop for photos. The eggs and biscuits & gravy were especially good--fresh, hot, and actually flavorful, which you don't always get with hotel breakfasts. The room itself was spacious, which we appreciated, but there were a couple of comfort issues. It tended to run a bit warm, and the thermostat didn't seem to cool down to the temperature we set. The air also felt pretty dry overnight. We had an accessible (handicap) shower, and while it was easy to use, it left about half of the bathroom floor soaked after each shower. That made the floor very slick, which was a bit of a safety concern. We also liked that the hotel had a pool, which is always a nice perk, but it was pretty small. Overall, a nice stay with great amenities and breakfast, but a few room comfort and bathroom design issues that could be improved.

Small food store in the front that was very reasonably priced. Rooms were clean, bright and well appointed. Didn't use room service but it was very clean and well dressed. Breakfast setup is typical for the chain and well stocked. Attendants did a great job every day that I was there and they were always cheerful. One drawback is that the gym is very limited. There is enough to get in a workout but the cardio gear is very dated. Overall, solid experience and I recommend this location for a short or long stay.

I had to go back out and get my license plate number (a rental so I didn't know it). But I need to get my steps in anyways so no big deal. I'm super stingy with my 5 stars so the experience has to be perfect. Also, for any of my 45+ over weight guys out there, if your in the 5th floor and get the great idea to take the stairs...it's a hike! But you can do it!!!

Even though it was set to 80°, the temperature never rose above 67°, while the vents blasted frigid air directly at us all night long. It was so unbearable that my husband had to stuff a towel into the vent just to block the airflow. When we called the front desk for help, we were told there was nothing they could do because the engineer wasn't available. That was the end of the conversation -- no solution, no effort, no concern for the fact that guests were left freezing in their rooms. This level of service is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one tied to the reputation of Indiana University. Future guests should be aware: if something goes wrong, don't expect help. this hotel is poorly managed and poorly maintained.

The kitchen space is immaculate and impressive. Their walk ins are bigger than some apartments. We attended the 2023 Bloomington craft beer festival at the location this week and it was a wonderful success. I also attended the ending homelessness in Bloomington event indoors recently. I can envision this property with a little more private investment or even from the county becoming like the Pearl district in San Antonio Texas. I realize this is a large ask because the billionaire that owned pace salsa is from San Antonio, and spent much of his own money regentrifying the pearl. However, with a local culinary school it's definitely possible. I can imagine adding bars, restaurants and shops to the outside space, and including the creek that runs by in the plans. I will love to see great things come from this space!

The spaces are incredibly flexible which makes it easy to hold an event here. The Bloomington Handmade Market had the entire second floor completely open to fit all of their awesome, local vendors. Recently, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce transformed the second floor into a few smaller rooms (used for personal business panels) and also had a bigger, open area available for their keynote speakers. The best part though?! The huge, free parking lot just steps outside the entrance to the building. So convenient and so rare to find at a convention center.
