Hours for September and October: 8am-8pm (or dark) We drove from Noblesville, I was so happy they were still open! Plenty to do for the kids, playground, bounce houses, straw pile, photo ops. They offer U-pick apples & Pumpkins or if you're in a hurry they're ready to grab from the red barn. Pumpkins are super reasonably priced at $.40 a Lb or pie pumpkins for $3. The concession stand is open on Saturday & Sunday. I love the fried biscuits with apple butter & of course you must get the apple cider slushies!! I don't remember seeing it prior, but they had apple cobbler warmed up with ice cream, delicious! I just love this place so much! Don't leave without a bag of apples, Carmel apples, apple cider & get some of those fried biscuits! Highly recommend bringing the whole family.

They have completely embraced the "hot honey" trend and are making some amazing honeys that are perfect for a nice "drizzle" on pizza, a Christmas ham or even as a sweetener in your green beans or spaghetti sauce! I ended up at Chick-a-Boom for some yummy chicken tenders covered in Mexican goodies like salsa, pico, sour cream, and scallions. For dessert I grabbed a cupcake to-go from Gigi's. There are also beer stands scattered around as well as a full bar to purchase from. The price of admission is $5 and is CASH ONLY. I know lots of people don't carry much cash these days so you may want to hit the ATM first. If you look for the table right outside the Old National Centre, you can score as many free tickets to additional First Friday FTF as you need! So in essence, you can pay once, and get in for the rest of the season as long as you are sure to grab some extra tickets while there.

However, it has returned this year and is slowly building steam again. Today was downright busy. The event includes typically about a dozen food trucks, a handful of veggie type vendors, and other area businesses ranging from the soon to be open downtown location of Rise n' Roll Donuts to Groomsville Popcorn, Oberweis Dairy, Gluten Free Creations, and a host of others. That was a rough year for wheelchair users and for anyone trying to squeeze in a food truck on a limited lunch schedule. A lot of folks don't know there is a downtown farmer's market - this is one of downtown Indy's best kept secrets and I look forward to it each week. Today, I visited NY Slice and I've definitely appreciated the variety that is maintained from week to week. Employees are notified each week which vendors will be present and it seems to be the one day when folks really get out of their cubicles and offices and get some fresh air and lunch. We got "Disco Boys" and "I'm too pretty for this" cocktails which were tasty - kudos for the fun cocktail names. Calamari, Artisan, and Charcuterie came shortly after. There's a few different options of cheeses and meats, it's sort of a choose your own adventure situation. All were good, especially the calamari. A lot of restaurants tend to overcook it and the calamari gets rubbery, not the case here. Our entrees came out next and I made sure to try a bite of everyone's LOL. The standout of all the entrees was definitely the "Duck, duck" which was, obviously, duck. The runner up would definitely have to be the chicken cacciatore.
