(We've been getting a steady stream of compliments about the new sidewalk from passersby.) But what really made this company stand out was the people. Every one of the team members was genuine, thoughtful, kind, and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them, and learning about each other. After they finished the job, we asked them if they might be willing to move a giant pile of sod that had been sitting in our back yard for two years. They came back out with the same great attitude, did the job at a fair price, and cleaned up the work site afterwards. We couldn't be happier. When it's time to replace our other old concrete, we won't hesitate to call them. If you're in need of concrete work, call these guys first. You won't be disappointed.

Through a decade of working with dozens of contractors and subs, this is a new level of…read moreunbelievable! They sent staff out to carefully measure and photograph the site, we agreed on a price, signed a contract including the full scope and cost with all the details lined out (photo attached). The owner himself (John I think) shows up today with a skid steer, tore our driveway and parking area to a dusty mess, walked up to me and said he couldn't finish the job for the agreed price, and asked for $8k more, saying he'd leave if I didn't pay it or that he would come back in the winter when business is slower and he can "make more money on the job"! I've attached the contract and photos of the mess he left (the driveway was decent gravel with very little dirt or dust before he mangled it). I even offered to give him a couple grand more to finish the job as promised, but that wasn't enough! He complained that I had negotiated the price and so it's my fault and the contract isn't valid! Now I've got another half dozen subs pushed back on a complex timeline. This is costing me thousands of dollars extra and weeks of time that I don't have. I also see I'm not the first one he's done this to. Read the bad reviews and you'll see the same pattern. John was also kind enough to explain to me that a "real man" would not sue him. In my book, a "real man" does what he committed to do, even if it's less profitable than he hoped. In 20 years of running businesses, I've filed one lawsuit. This will be the second!

Victor is easygoing, eager, approachable, affable, honest, and chock full of integrity. He's also a human and like some other reviews note, he spends some extra time just getting a feel for "what does the customer really want" before making a suggestion. He is the type of person who you can actually trust, a rare thing these days. We made our deal, he noted the rains approaching, and he got the job done the very next day. I'm sure he can't always be quite that responsive but it was pretty awesome for me to get such premium service at a price I was comfortable with. When the job was done, there was one tiny little "oops" where my water meter got covered. I mentioned it and asked if I was being too much of a princess asking him to have his guys come back and dig it out, certainly I can spend the 5 minutes to go get my shovel and take care of it, but then again I was a paying customer. Victor did not flinch, he had it done when I looked the very next day. The quality of work done was excellent and this company is now my preference for all things dirt/gravel/asphalt in the future. Thanks so much Victor!

I added descriptions for each picture but you can tell there was a lot of care and detail that went into leveling out the area, digging out the soil, moving it to the wall area, and getting that pretty square corner out of these curved blocks! The right side of the stairs (looking at it) is sloped and supported by the dirt that's also supporting the retaining wall. The left side is a sharp dirt edge which we left like that with a bit of a gap for a future fence, so no point smoothing it out.
