Fantastic ambiance! Love the vibe here, which was nice and relaxed. Great food! Had a smoothie and breakfast with eggs, kale and sweet potatoes. read more

This place is a vegan dream. On the first trip I had the Sunrise Bagel with cashew cream cheese, avocado, and tomato slices. That was really filling and tasty. On the second morning I had a Tempeh Wrap with salsa, greens, avocado, and tempeh. That thing was so flavorful!! I love that these folks are environmentally friendly. They have compostable dinnerware if you need to take items to go. More businesses should take a "leaf" out of their book. I would be at this place 7 days a week if I lived in Key West. read more

Date & Thyme - Delicious Tempeh Wrap with avacado, salsa, and greens. - Vegetarian Near Me - Key West, Florida

I think you instantly get healthy just walking in here! Went on a work trip and a coworker of mine is a pescatarian and likes organic healthy stuff. I do too but (reason for 4 star spoiler: it gets pricey!). Date and Thyme is no exception but wow is it good food! We actually went here twice on our trip. First time I had an acai bowl. It was filling and delicious. Lots of fun stuff in it that I don't usually get in acai bowls like cacao nibs and goji berries. By the way, they sell goji berries and they're delicious! Next trip I had a spicy tuna wrap. Really really tasty. All kinds of little veggie surprises in it. Enough stuff really that a half filled me up. Inside is like an organic food haven. Fresh fruits and veggies. Fresh juices. The works. I did end up getting a bottle of fire cider. It's apple cider vinegar with a zillion other goodies in it that'll keep you feeling good. Sadly I have to 4 stars just because it is indeed pricey. $12 for an acai bowl. What's that meme where it's silly you can get a cheeseburger and fries for less than a salad? That applies here. Don't get me wrong, you'll love the food but your wallet may not like the price. read more

Very disappointed! The smoothies were good but very pricey. The store itself was nice. The tempeh wrap was good but we also ordered the black bean burger which they had not taken off the menu. They suggested the veggie burger which replaced the black bean burger. The first mistake was calling it a burger because once you pick it up the patty form falls completely apart not allowing to enjoy it as a burger at all. I gave it a 4 star because of all the vegan options but if I was going off the veggie burger alone I would of given it a two stars, the flavor of the "patty" was good but that is where it ends. First time I walked out of a restaurant hungry!! read more

Love this place! The Indian summer salad is my favorite! All of their grab & go cooler items that they make in house are amazing, too. Love that they carry epic protein powder & laird coffee creamer. They have a little mini organic food market inside. You place your order inside & pick up your order outside. Super cute covered & uncovered seating area. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Really generous portions. I had the breakfast bagel which was so stacked I could barely get my mouth around it. The mojo sauce gave it a pleasant kick. My friend had the jerk tofu wrap which he thoroughly enjoyed. Nice selection of craft sodas and kombuchas. Some cool pre-packaged carry out options as well. read more

Delicious food!! Had plenty of vegan options and a super cool ambiance. Food was so fresh and the side salad was sooo good it was like a superfood slaw with cranberries and nuts. Definitely recommend if looking for a healthy lunch/breakfast option. Food came out super quickly too. There's also a little market inside with some grocery items. All around super cool place! read more

*You cannot save yourself by saying i am lying. we were not informed of the ingredients before buying. i came back after the fact and read the ingredients. you are extremely unprofessional and truly disappointing. you have made my sister extremely sick and i never even received a sorry. do not try to discredit me everything i said is completely accurate. i hope you can use this as a lesson to inform people fully and teaching your staff conflict resolution and admitting when you're wrong* Absolutely furious this place just ruined our trip by making my celiac sister extremely sick. We were told a bagel sandwich could be gluten free with just a slight chance of some cross contamination. My sister is usually not sensitive enough to become so sick from cross contamination but she started throwing up as soon as we got home. Called and inquired about the sandwich and what could have gotten her sick and they were rude and unhelpful. No apologies and no offer to help. Went in person as well because I was so worried about what happened and they showed me the bagel they used and it explicitly said contains wheat. They gave me no empathy and almost seemed mad at for being upset. No one said anything about that and even checked with us at the register if it was an allergy when we ordered but failed to tell us the bagel contained wheat. So disappointing and just makes it so much worse they were so rude and unhelpful. Would never come back. Food wasn't even near worth it. FURIOUS read more

Delicious organic food. I ordered egg on a bagel and it was very good. Late with almond milk was so good. They are also a mini grocery store so there's no excuse for not eating well while on vacation. read more

After a full day of Key West my friend and I were looking for a breakfast option that would satisfy our morning hunger with more wholesome ingredients. The peanut butter and jelly on whole wheat bagel was exceptional! It gave me the fuel needed to power through the heat in Key West. I also found my favorite Dr Bronner's organic lavender spray hand sanitizer in the little shop which can be hard to come by. My friend and I were both blown away by the hospitality. I will recommend this gem to anyone staying in Key West. read more

The best breakfast/Lunch restaurant in Key West. The service was fabulous and the food was superb.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of healthy options in Key West so Date & Thyme was a wonderful discovery. I appreciated the grocery store, cafe, juice bar options. You could grab something quickly including grab-and-go meals, produce, snacks, drinks, nuts, etc. or enjoy a meal in their outdoor seating area. They also had a fresh juice and smoothie bar. I ordered the Acai bowl topped with granola, coconut flakes, goji berries, & cacao nibs. It was very filling however I think it would have been better topped with fresh fruit and local honey. Maybe offering a secondary Acai bowl option? It was also confusing as to where you were supposed to go to place your order. Some signage would be helpful directing people to place orders inside at the grocery. Observations: -breakfast/cafe selections served all day until 4pm -grocery store & juice bar open until 6pm -they serve a great selection of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, paleo friendly foods including: salads, wraps, and grain bowls -kids menu available -meal planning programs available -juice cleanse options available -parking available on-site read more

Really cool place. Vegan, vegetarian, low fat, low sugar, gluten-free options abundant! No inside seating because there's actually a little market there with all kinds of unique items, groceries, produce, snacks, deli items and more. You order there as well and they call you from outside to pick up your food. There's a pleasant little dining area and the food is beautiful and delicious. We shared the avocado toast. I had the breakfast bagel and my partner, the Thai curry bowl. All was very delicious, clean, fresh and flavorful. The entire staff was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! Best part-we felt so good leaving there, full, happy and guilt-free! read more

I love this neighborhood spot. When I want a quick bite to eat, I call in a black bean burger. By the time I arrive to the restaurant (usually ten mins or less), my food is already ready. I have yet to adventure and try the other menu items because this is so satisfying... I'm not even a vegetarian. The convenience store has a nice market selection and occasionally I order a coffee but they are pretty pricey. read more

Went on a Saturday, Feb 16, at around 4:20 pm intending to pick up dinner for a boat ride back to Fort Myers, but to my dismay, the kitchen was closed already. Ordered the $10 VERY VEGGIE smoothie (cucumber, apple, celery, spinach, avocado, lemon, chia, ice). I advised the cashier it was extremely watery. She then explained that the avocado had run out, but she was willing to refund or replace it with a different smoothie. I got a replacement. The end result was a tasty, cleansing, and rejuvenating smoothie. Also ordered a $10 BERRY BLISS (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, banana, apple juice). Yummy but a bit too sweet after a while. Also picked up a pre-packaged kale, red cabbage, carrot, apple cider vinaigrette slaw, along with a cold soba salad, from the fridge located across from the cash register for later. Slaw was an excellent mix of gut cleansing veggies. The soba salad had too much raw scallion and cilantro, I couldn't stomach it. If you're vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, on a plant based diet, keto, or even if you simply want healthier meat options, etc, Date&Thyme is perfect as long as you get there early bc it seems the kitchen closes around 2 pm. Groceries are available here too until closing time, making it a nice one stop shop if you have many dietary restrictions. Just know that even compared to Whole Foods, Date&Thyme is quite expensive. read more

My main complaint with this place is that staff was extremely rude and unwelcoming on the phone and worse in person. The avocado toast was really good, but it's a terribly small portion for how much it costs. The salad that it came with was unseasoned and bland besides the tomatoes. read more

During our 1.5 days stay in Key West, I came here twice, which speaks to the greatness of this place! The first time we came, it was almost around 6pm and only the juice and smoothie had were open. We ordered the special bowl and the purple jungle smoothie. I like the smoothie better. Made of acai, blueberries, goji berries, banana, and coconut milk, the smoothie has a pretty color of purple and tasted fresh and great! The special bowl was OK. It was mainly made of raspberry, banana, and different toppings including almond, coconuts, chia seeds, etc. The second time we came for breakfast. I ordered online using Local25 to get 25% off (so happy! And easy as well) the black bean burger, kids sized peanut butter cup smoothie, and bullet proof coffee. When I got there, I ordered the spicy tempeh wrap and a guava. I love the wrap! The veggies in it were super fresh and flavorful. The tempeh was perfectly flavored, salty, tasty, but not too spicy to my taste. And it came with avocado as well! The wrap was fresh and chewy. The black bean burger came with a whole wheat bun, avocado, and some healthy chips. The black bean patty tasted natural, not so soft, and great with the bun. The chips are incredible as well. I've never tried the bullet proof coffee before (is it a thing?) and it was tasty. Full of coffee flavor, a little cacao flavor but not bitter and ghee. My least favorite is the peanut butter up smoothie. I am not a peanut butter cup fan so I guess I should not order it at the first place. The guava tasted ok. Fresh but not super sweet. I am surprised by the variety of organic and healthy food including fruits they offer here. If you are in a hurry, feel free to grab the "to go" options including sweet potato pasta, Indian summer salad, potato pasta, etc. Outside seating was lovely. Not a lot of table place but you get live plants and (not so excitedly) chicken. They also offer free water. read more

We had breakfast wraps- they were good with egg and avocado- however they were 75% lettuce. I appreciate that it forced me to eat my greens- but even after pulling half if it out it was still a bit much. My husbands plate looked like it had a large salad in it with all he pulled out. I had a purple smoothie and ginger shot too. All was good. $40+ worth it for all organic and healthy. But I felt bad wasting so much greens. read more

Nice place to sneak in and grab a bite. Wife is vegan and plenty for her to eat. I'm a carnivore and enjoyed my meal as well

Great place for some amazing vegan food. This was the first restaurant we tried after reaching Key West. A lot of cafes in Key West has this concept of Grocery Store + Cafe where a part of the establishment is a grocery store and there is a cafe right next to it. This is one of that kind. Food: They have a good wide range on their menu, a majority of them vegan - which is a great news. We started off with Frozen Mocha and Chocolate Buzz smoothies. All of their smoothies and juices are vegan unless noted otherwise. Both the smoothies were great and worth trying. For our meal, we went for Rise & Shine Bagel (Cashew cream cheese, tomato, and avocado on a plain whole wheat bagel), a half Pesto Garden Wrap (carrots, cucumber, tomato, avocado, broccoli, onion, and sprouts tossed in a pesto with vegan mayo, spicy pumpkin seeds and mixed greens) and a Black bean burger (served on a sprouted whole grain bun with chips and slaw). Rise & Shine Bagel was great. Bagel, unlike traditional ones, wasn't at all chewy and had a good bite. The cashew cream cheese, tomato, and avocado came together really well. Pesto Garden Wrap was good but not very impressive. To begin with, the wrap wasn't wrapped properly and it fell apart as soon as out from paper. However, the taste was good. What impressed us the most was the black bean burger which was probably the best we had till date. The patty tasted amazingly well with great seasoning. The chips and slaw were great too. Overall, a great meal. Ambiance: It is quite an open place with a couple of chairs and tables outside. The cafe is located at a junction so it is quite a buzzing place. There is also one sofa and a couple of high chairs too. Along the high chairs, the platform, acting as a table, is along the wall and there are a couple of magazines and flyers which will help you get information about where to go around the city and the water sports to indulge in. Very casual atmosphere. Green is the theme of the restaurant (furniture etc) which is quite soothing to the eyes. Service: The service was quite good. Not very quick but if you are in a relaxing mood you can use the wait time to just sit back and enjoy the weather. Plates disposal, to large extent, is by self - into one of their two trashes - regular trash and recycle trash. However, there would be employees who'd do that if they notice. Overall, a great place for having an amazing vegan meal - especially breakfast. read more

After nearly five months of living in the Florida Keys, I have finally come around to writing a review for Help Yourself. The cafe caters to juicers/ raw foodies/vegans/vegetarians and the occasional fish consumer. All meals that I have ordered are made fresh and taste wonderful. They tend to use many local veggies and fruits and have a great section of wraps and salads. As with everything in Key West, expect to pay more than you would in say Chicago or New York for a meal. The meals are well-portioned and the wraps come in half and whole sizes. I highly recommend the tempeh wrap and the tempeh salad. The staff is pretty friendly and the seating, although somewhat limited, is cozy. Definitely worth a stop for those who are looking to escape the dozens of typical bar tourist stops that surround the area. read more

Key West seems to specialize in converting gas stations into food stands. I saw several, but Help Yourself is special, dishing up organic fare plus vegan and gluten free dishes. There are creative salads and wraps with healthy items like chickpeas, quinoa, carrots, raisins, almonds, goji berries and avocado. There are a handful of hot times, too, like coconut curry and vegetarian Korean BBQ. But I stopped in on a steamy afternoon for a Berry Bliss smoothie. It was delicious, made with organic frozen fruit and organic apple juice, but at $8, all that health comes with a price. If you're looking for this type of food, seek out Help Yourself. It's incredibly fresh. read more

My favorite place. Fresh juices, healthy, organic food, great market. I highly recommend this place

All three of us are vegetarian. Had an amazing lunch, we all enjoyed what we all ordered! We took a sample of each other's dishes. Mr had the Hummus wrap, it was big loaded with all fixings! Kiddo had the Tempeh wrap, it was almost as large as the Hummus however very flavorful and not spicy as I imagined (I'm not a spicy kind of gal. I was able to order the Açaí Breakfast Bowl for lunch, it was loaded with freshly sliced strawberries, big sweet blueberries, shredded coconut, cocoa nips and a lovely granola & nut mix Being vegetarian and on an extreme restricted sodium diet (no wraps, marinated soy products, nor sauces, etc., this bowl was a perfect match for me to be able to dinner out too. (Mexican Street Corn at Amigos). It was a great day & all three meals were Awesome & Low sodium!! Usually when traveling I can only have 1 meal. The customer service was very helpful and patient with my questions. We ate in the cute little patio/courtyard they had created, it was like being in an secluded cafe on a tropical island!! Oh yeah, we on Key West aren't we!! Definitely will be coming back here next time we're in town! AWESOME JOB LADIES AND THANK YOU!! It means more to me than you can ever imagine!!!!! usa read more
