I think you instantly get healthy just walking in here! Went on a work trip and a coworker of mine is a pescatarian and likes organic healthy stuff. I do too but (reason for 4 star spoiler: it gets pricey!). Date and Thyme is no exception but wow is it good food! We actually went here twice on our trip. First time I had an acai bowl. It was filling and delicious. Lots of fun stuff in it that I don't usually get in acai bowls like cacao nibs and goji berries. By the way, they sell goji berries and they're delicious! Next trip I had a spicy tuna wrap. Really really tasty. All kinds of little veggie surprises in it. Enough stuff really that a half filled me up. Inside is like an organic food haven. Fresh fruits and veggies. Fresh juices. The works. I did end up getting a bottle of fire cider. It's apple cider vinegar with a zillion other goodies in it that'll keep you feeling good. Sadly I have to 4 stars just because it is indeed pricey. $12 for an acai bowl. What's that meme where it's silly you can get a cheeseburger and fries for less than a salad? That applies here. Very disappointed! The smoothies were good but very pricey. The store itself was nice. The tempeh wrap was good but we also ordered the black bean burger which they had not taken off the menu. They suggested the veggie burger which replaced the black bean burger. The first mistake was calling it a burger because once you pick it up the patty form falls completely apart not allowing to enjoy it as a burger at all. I gave it a 4 star because of all the vegan options but if I was going off the veggie burger alone I would of given it a two stars, the flavor of the "patty" was good but that is where it ends. After a full day of Key West my friend and I were looking for a breakfast option that would satisfy our morning hunger with more wholesome ingredients. The peanut butter and jelly on whole wheat bagel was exceptional! It gave me the fuel needed to power through the heat in Key West. There doesn't seem to be a lot of healthy options in Key West so Date & Thyme was a wonderful discovery. I appreciated the grocery store, cafe, juice bar options. You could grab something quickly including grab-and-go meals, produce, snacks, drinks, nuts, etc. or enjoy a meal in their outdoor seating area. They also had a fresh juice and smoothie bar. I ordered the Acai bowl topped with granola, coconut flakes, goji berries, & cacao nibs. It was very filling however I think it would have been better topped with fresh fruit and local honey. Maybe offering a secondary Acai bowl option? It was also confusing as to where you were supposed to go to place your order. Some signage would be helpful directing people to place orders inside at the grocery. No inside seating because there's actually a little market there with all kinds of unique items, groceries, produce, snacks, deli items and more. You order there as well and they call you from outside to pick up your food. There's a pleasant little dining area and the food is beautiful and delicious. We shared the avocado toast. I love this neighborhood spot. When I want a quick bite to eat, I call in a black bean burger. By the time I arrive to the restaurant (usually ten mins or less), my food is already ready. I have yet to adventure and try the other menu items because this is so satisfying... I'm not even a vegetarian. Went on a Saturday, Feb 16, at around 4:20 pm intending to pick up dinner for a boat ride back to Fort Myers, but to my dismay, the kitchen was closed already. Ordered the $10 VERY VEGGIE smoothie (cucumber, apple, celery, spinach, avocado, lemon, chia, ice). I advised the cashier it was extremely watery. She then explained that the avocado had run out, but she was willing to refund or replace it with a different smoothie. I got a replacement. The end result was a tasty, cleansing, and rejuvenating smoothie. Also ordered a $10 BERRY BLISS (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, banana, apple juice). Yummy but a bit too sweet after a while. Also picked up a pre-packaged kale, red cabbage, carrot, apple cider vinaigrette slaw, along with a cold soba salad, from the fridge located across from the cash register for later. Slaw was an excellent mix of gut cleansing veggies. The soba salad had too much raw scallion and cilantro, I couldn't stomach it. If you're vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, on a plant based diet, keto, or even if you simply want healthier meat options, etc, Date&Thyme is perfect as long as you get there early bc it seems the kitchen closes around 2 pm. Groceries are available here too until closing time, making it a nice one stop shop if you have many dietary restrictions. Just know that even compared to Whole Foods, Date&Thyme is quite expensive. read more

During our 1.5 days stay in Key West, I came here twice, which speaks to the greatness of this place! The first time we came, it was almost around 6pm and only the juice and smoothie had were open. We ordered the special bowl and the purple jungle smoothie. I like the smoothie better. Made of acai, blueberries, goji berries, banana, and coconut milk, the smoothie has a pretty color of purple and tasted fresh and great! The special bowl was OK. It was mainly made of raspberry, banana, and different toppings including almond, coconuts, chia seeds, etc. The second time we came for breakfast. I ordered online using Local25 to get 25% off (so happy! And easy as well) the black bean burger, kids sized peanut butter cup smoothie, and bullet proof coffee. When I got there, I ordered the spicy tempeh wrap and a guava. I love the wrap! The veggies in it were super fresh and flavorful. The tempeh was perfectly flavored, salty, tasty, but not too spicy to my taste. And it came with avocado as well! The wrap was fresh and chewy. The black bean burger came with a whole wheat bun, avocado, and some healthy chips. The black bean patty tasted natural, not so soft, and great with the bun. The chips are incredible as well. I've never tried the bullet proof coffee before (is it a thing?) and it was tasty. Full of coffee flavor, a little cacao flavor but not bitter and ghee. My least favorite is the peanut butter up smoothie. I am not a peanut butter cup fan so I guess I should not order it at the first place. The guava tasted ok. Fresh but not super sweet. I am surprised by the variety of organic and healthy food including fruits they offer here. If you are in a hurry, feel free to grab the "to go" options including sweet potato pasta, Indian summer salad, potato pasta, etc. Outside seating was lovely. I appreciate that it forced me to eat my greens- but even after pulling half if it out it was still a bit much. My husbands plate looked like it had a large salad in it with all he pulled out. Great place for some amazing vegan food. This was the first restaurant we tried after reaching Key West. A lot of cafes in Key West has this concept of Grocery Store + Cafe where a part of the establishment is a grocery store and there is a cafe right next to it. This is one of that kind. Food: They have a good wide range on their menu, a majority of them vegan - which is a great news. We started off with Frozen Mocha and Chocolate Buzz smoothies. All of their smoothies and juices are vegan unless noted otherwise. Both the smoothies were great and worth trying. For our meal, we went for Rise & Shine Bagel (Cashew cream cheese, tomato, and avocado on a plain whole wheat bagel), a half Pesto Garden Wrap (carrots, cucumber, tomato, avocado, broccoli, onion, and sprouts tossed in a pesto with vegan mayo, spicy pumpkin seeds and mixed greens) and a Black bean burger (served on a sprouted whole grain bun with chips and slaw). Rise & Shine Bagel was great. Bagel, unlike traditional ones, wasn't at all chewy and had a good bite. The cashew cream cheese, tomato, and avocado came together really well. Pesto Garden Wrap was good but not very impressive. To begin with, the wrap wasn't wrapped properly and it fell apart as soon as out from paper. However, the taste was good. What impressed us the most was the black bean burger which was probably the best we had till date. The patty tasted amazingly well with great seasoning. The chips and slaw were great too. Overall, a great meal. Ambiance: It is quite an open place with a couple of chairs and tables outside. The cafe is located at a junction so it is quite a buzzing place. There is also one sofa and a couple of high chairs too. Along the high chairs, the platform, acting as a table, is along the wall and there are a couple of magazines and flyers which will help you get information about where to go around the city and the water sports to indulge in. Very casual atmosphere. Green is the theme of the restaurant (furniture etc) which is quite soothing to the eyes. Service: The service was quite good. Not very quick but if you are in a relaxing mood you can use the wait time to just sit back and enjoy the weather. Plates disposal, to large extent, is by self - into one of their two trashes - regular trash and recycle trash. However, there would be employees who'd do that if they notice. Overall, a great place for having an amazing vegan meal - especially breakfast. read more

All three of us are vegetarian. Had an amazing lunch, we all enjoyed what we all ordered! We took a sample of each other's dishes. Mr had the Hummus wrap, it was big loaded with all fixings!
