I spoke with a lovely woman who was incredibly kind and helpful. She asked what I had in mind, and I told her I was looking for something elegant with white and purple flowers in a short vase. They absolutely overdelivered. The arrangement was beautiful, tasteful, and perfect for the occasion - and most importantly, the recipient was truly touched. In my delusional state, I did not physically do down to Key West until the day BEFORE the wedding. This was slightly psychotic, but to my surprise, Mama Flowers took care of me as a walk in and were able to fix all my crazy "but I want it this way" requests. They were great communicating over email for the months before hand, but were even better the day before when I actually showed up there unannounced in person. Dayna and JD were awesome! I barged in with orange ribbon and starfish from Shell World and they told me not to worry and that everything will be arranged by tomorrow, and it was! Flowers for my hair were magically delivered to the spa, flowers for the cake appeared as scheduled at the baker, invisible men showed up on the beach and set up the floral canopy along with all the other accents and then somehow moved it all to the reception area (I actually did not see these people, who they were and where they came from, I don't know, but they got the job done!) The flowers themselves were gorgeous! This was the biggest surprise, because planning from afar you don't actually get to see things in person till you get there. The finished products were so beautiful and fragrant, I couldn't have asked for more. These are professional people, who know what they're doing and who work well with all other businesses in town. Yes, as mentioned in a prior review, by a boy, they are pricy, but not nearly as much as others in town. And overall wedding flowers are ridiculously expensive, so I can't say their prices were unreasonable. I would say, if you are planning a destination wedding and are not able to be there in person to plan everything out, then go with Mama Flowers. These floral arrangements were indescribably beautiful, with luscious, colorful blooms that smelled like heaven! There were ivory, pink, and the most beautiful hue of violet roses that were so romantic and classic, and tiny little delicate pink roses. They were the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen! I sent them some inspiration photos and then they put together a truly comprehensive estimate for me. We made little tweaks to bring down the cost on some of the candle options, and that was really all I had to review! Of course it's cheaper to get someone just to do ad-hoc arrangements for you and then DIY everything else, but I am SO GLAD I wasn't responsible for setting that up and collecting it all at the end of the evening. It would've made my wedding day 1,000 times more stressful. Milan Event handled transporting our flowers everywhere they needed to go during the day and then picked up the decor after the reception, and it was worth every penny. The arrangements themselves were GORGEOUS and included a more expensive variety of flower than I had anticipated, which was a nice surprise and rare for the wedding industry. When the Milan Event folks showed up the day-of to my bridal suite with the flowers, they were even more beautiful than had I imagined. During the months leading up to the wedding, communication was fabulous! Monika listened to my requests and painted a beautiful vision of what we wanted. The bouquet, boutonnières and corsages were delivered to our suite at the Lighthouse Court prior to the wedding by Monika herself, it was a nice surprise to meet her and added a personal touch. The ceremony decor included a cascading floral arrangement over the the arch, rose petals sprinkled along the aisle, vintage glass bottles with roses on each chair and decor for the welcome table.
