After checking with Sunset Key Cottages' concierge, I requested an arrangement from sent to the Cottages as a "thank you" for my boyfriend's parents who I stayed with during their month-long vacation. Mama's Flowers went above-and-beyond to tailor the arrangement for my special request. The arrangement was delivered as-expected on-time and was absolutely gorgeous, the flowers looked as if they had just been picked!! It was one of the most creative, interesting, and stunning arrangements I've ever seen at a reasonable price point from a florist. Used Mama Flowers for my wedding in April 2011. This was a destination wedding and planning from New York was very painful. In my delusional state, I did not physically do down to Key West until the day BEFORE the wedding. This was slightly psychotic, but to my surprise, Mama Flowers took care of me as a walk in and were able to fix all my crazy "but I want it this way" requests. They were great communicating over email for the months before hand, but were even better the day before when I actually showed up there unannounced in person. Dayna and JD were awesome! I barged in with orange ribbon and starfish from Shell World and they told me not to worry and that everything will be arranged by tomorrow, and it was! Flowers for my hair were magically delivered to the spa, flowers for the cake appeared as scheduled at the baker, invisible men showed up on the beach and set up the floral canopy along with all the other accents and then somehow moved it all to the reception area (I actually did not see these people, who they were and where they came from, I don't know, but they got the job done!) The flowers themselves were gorgeous! This was the biggest surprise, because planning from afar you don't actually get to see things in person till you get there. The finished products were so beautiful and fragrant, I couldn't have asked for more. These are professional people, who know what they're doing and who work well with all other businesses in town. Yes, as mentioned in a prior review, by a boy, they are pricy, but not nearly as much as others in town. And overall wedding flowers are ridiculously expensive, so I can't say their prices were unreasonable. I would say, if you are planning a destination wedding and are not able to be there in person to plan everything out, then go with Mama Flowers. Much like our cake, I (sort of) had to pick flowers on a whim for our destination wedding. While each florist's pictures looked pretty comparable I will say that Dayna's customer service really sealed the deal. She was very patient and kind in our email correspondence and told me every flower that she would use to recreate an idea that I had sent to her. I felt confident in my choice with her and the finished product was even better than I had imagined. The flowers were beautiful and the delivery was made on time to our hotel. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I managed to persuade/bribe/drug my sexy ass girlfriend into becoming my wife (I don't think she knows yet, so please don't tell her). After an (un)healthy dose of ether, I loaded her up in the car and we headed down to Key West to tie the knot at Ocean Key Resort. We enlisted the help of Mama's Flowers to add that nice floral aroma to the crime scene/marriage (whichever, tomato/tomatoe). The flowers looked classy, smelled delicious and were pretty sturdy too! How can flower arrangements be sturdy you ask? Well, I managed to knock a huge arrangement off it's pedestal with an airborne chair (don't ask, it was a crazy party) and that S.O.B. took a solid 4 foot drop, hit the ground, rolled, and only lost a few pedals. That ball of floral mastery remained in tact and returned to it's pedestal, appearing as if nothing happened. At first I thought the flowers might be artificial doppelgangers, alas, they were not. We had our wedding at pier house resort in key west and Siiri was amazing from start to finish. She truly has a passion for the business and took my very vague ideas and made them amazing using my wedding colors. Her prices are beyond fair for the intricate work she does. Siiri brought my bridesmaids flowers early for pictures but waited to deliver the centerpieces until right before the ceremony to ensure freshness (summer in key west is not great for flower longevity). I received a spectacular bouquet for my birthday from Mama Flowers and it is so beautiful that it makes me feel truly blessed!
