I am a local (13 yrs in KW), have frequented this store and purchased a few items over the years. I dropped off my sea pearl necklace, alerting the sales person, it was 'vacation jewelry' and inexpensive so more sentimental than anything. I had broken the clasp and just wanted it repaired so I could wear it. I stated do not restring, not necessary just make it wearable. 3 months go bye and I realize I had not heard from Neptune. I take some responsibility as I did not call, went on vacation or just busy. You would think once the repair was finished they would call. NO they did not. After 3 months I visited to find NOTHING NOTHING had happened. They said it is not gold so we cannot repair. Although I never raised my voice, I made it known I was a very unhappy customer. At one point, a male employee decided to get involved and started by saying - just relax!! Women loved to be told that don't we!! I stated no need to use gold, just a clasp so I can wear it. 3 Weeks later returned to find my necklace had been taken apart and was missing a loop at the end. AGAIN NO REPAIR NO CALL. I asked for the loop to put back and I would return tomorrow. I also stated I did not really want to be charged for the repair. Well, I did return the next day, they did repair and I was told, the owners said to tell you it's $37.50 - pay or will will take the repair apart and return to you!!!! Wow threatening a customer for $37.50!! If you read the bio of the store, it was started by Mom and Dad. I can image Mom and Dad would be ashamed of the current owner threatening a customer for $37.50. There are quite a few smaller shops in Key West. Go there!! I certainly will not be returning and now that my friends have heard - they will not either!! read more

Walked in one day and asked if they could create a custom earring from a show that I like. They said they could do it, and quoted me a VERY reasonable price (honestly not much more than the cost of the raw weight of the silver). Lots of great communication, many good questions asked, etc. Simply making sure to check all the boxes and do all the right things. About two weeks later, I had my earring, and it was perfect. 20+ years ago my husband purchased a beautiful conch shell piece from Neptune Designs. Fast forward I visited the store looking for a new chain. Kim, an associate, showed me several options. I did not make a purchase at that visit. My daughter-in-law's mother was with me and relayed to my DIL that I admired one necklace in particular but she didn't know exactly which one. Long story short my DIL contacted the store and they figured out it was Kim who met with me. Kim was off that day but Neptune reached out to her and she remembered me along with the specific necklace. What a beautiful surprise to receive it as a gift purchased by my son and daughter-in-law. Horrible non-responsive customer service. My earrings lost a stone shortly after purchase so I sent them in for repair. They sent them back repaired with a $20 bill to partially credit my shipping and insurance. A few months later, they lost more stones (emeralds and diamonds). I called and was told they would replace the earring so I mailed it in. They called several weeks later and said they were waiting on an emerald and had decided to fix instead of replace. They sent the earring back supposedly repaired, but this time with no return shipping reimbursement. I only wear these earrings on special occasions and noticed that another emerald is now missing. So that makes 3 times the earring have defected which is ridiculous to me. I have emailed the email on their website 3 times over the last 3 days with a photo with no response. In fact it comes back saying "return from sender". I messaged them directly through Facebook and can see they have read the message, but have not responded. read more

I saw the coolest parrot ring in the windows of Neptune Designs that was calling my name but once I got in there, turned out it was their doggie rings that were barking louder All kinds of breeds in rings, earrings & necklaces - I quickly honed in on the Yorkie ring & it was true love Guy working this evening was the son of this family owned business & we talked about them being there for the past 40 years & how they like to stock 1-of-a-kind pieces & wearable art & he didn't lie. Their pieces were exquisite! At the end of every vacation, my wife gets to pick out a new piece of jewelry to remember the trip. When we took our stroll down Duval street, we came upon Neptune Designs. Great little store with some very nice jewelry. The sales lady was very good at her job. She must have spent a total of 2 hours with us the two times we came in. The first time was to look around and the second was to have my wife choose something. She finally settled on a conch charm for a necklace. She is so happy with her purchase and what made it all the better was they discounted the cost 5% for the asking, and shipped it to her, saving us the over 7% in taxes. If you find it hard to find a parking space, park behind the store, just let them know so you don't get towed away, or locked in. Look around Duval for options, but be sure to come back to Neptune Designs to get what you truly want. read more

It turns out you take your chances with Neptune and the Salespeople. We have visited here a few times and found a very special piece that we waited a year to buy. Fortunately a year later we landed in the shop in time for their Hurricane Sale and couldn't resist the opportunity to buy one of the conch shells. Love it. Fast forward a few months, we are doing a day visit to K.W. and my wife wanted her friend to see the shop. They replaced the diamonds to princess cut, and the updated ring looks amazing. They are also taking the original 4 round diamonds to create a band for me so as not to lose my original wedding diamonds. We have been vacationing in Key West for many years and always stop in this store. I was there on 7/23/2017 with my wife and 87 year old mother and the ladies wanted to take a look around the store. But this time the sales woman was so rude we just turned around and walked out feeling like we had been insulted and verbally abused. We had just walked in the door and hadn't said a word when she started in on us. I don't know what her problem was but she needs to get some serious help.
