We had a wonderful breakfast at the BC - try the frittata- it was soooo tasty…read more And to top off the great food and service, the staff was so welcoming to my little dog, Liza. There are a lot of 'pet friendly' restaurants in KW, but the BC is pet loving.

We (3 of us) were going to have our last breakfast at Key West before heading home. We allotted…read moreabout 1.5 hours to have a comfortable breakfast but this Bananas Cafe ruined our morning. We arrived around 11:10 am after checking out at the hotel, was seated almost immediately upstairs (they were not super packed). We placed our orders and waited about 25 minutes (we were all just using our phones so time went by without thinking much about it) but still nothing has arrived..... I checked with our waitress and she stated she checked with the kitchen and said our foods were coming. Five minutes later nothing came (it's now been 30 minutes). I checked with her again and she went back to the kitchen, she returned and stated the kitchen staff was very busy and they had other customers to take care of too..... We immediately asked for our check and I paid for my coffee and left. We ended up going to Frenchie's cafe down the block and had an amazing time. We had been to so many restaurants at Key West this past week and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for our foods to arrive. We aren't sure if the breakfast items at this cafe were any good but the wait time was beyond reasonable and no warning was given ahead of time. If this cafe cannot handle all the tables they allotted, they should not have so many tables and open both levels (two stories), seating your customers and need them to wait at least 30 minutes for breakfast tells me that your kitchen is unable to manage a 90% full customer base.

Four of us split the pancake board and each ordered a breakfast entree and quickly realized our eyes were way too big for our stomachs. All of the food was delicious and the portions were very generous. This location quickly became a staple in our rotation for brunch. The coffee was amazing and strong. They had dairy alternative milks and several housemaid syrups which I am always a sucker for. I highly recommend going at least once.. But if you visit once, you will want to go again. The staff was amazing and the floor and wall art was fun to just take in while you waited for your order.

Excellent experience!…read more Our waitress, Mason, was bubbly, upbeat, and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Shrimp & Grits (with the pico on the side), Eggs Benedict, and a side of bacon. I thoroughly enjoyed my Shrimp & Grits and even added crumbled bacon, which made the dish even better! My husband said his Eggs Benedict was excellent as well. To drink, I had the Caramel Latte, which was absolutely delicious. I prefer flavored coffee drinks, so it was the perfect choice for me. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall dining experience. We will definitely be back!

We're spending the week in Key West and making a point of visiting as many coffee shops as…read morepossible. When we walked to Doing Work Coffee, we were initially a bit confused and weren't sure we were in the right place. That's understandable, since it shares space with Wicked Lick Ice Cream. Fortunately, the owner noticed our confusion and warmly invited us in. Food: It wasn't listed on the menu, but they were happy to make me a London Fog tea latte. My son ordered a white chocolate latte. Both drinks were good. Personally, I prefer coffee served in a mug, and they only use paper cups, which took away a bit from the experience. They don't offer much in the way of baked goods, but they did have butterscotch scones. The scone was slightly too sweet for my taste, but the texture was excellent. They heated it for us, which made it even more enjoyable. Service: The service was exceptionally friendly. We felt genuinely welcomed, and the owner took the time to have a conversation with us. After hearing his story and seeing his commitment and work ethic firsthand, I found myself rooting for his success. Atmosphere: Since they share space with the ice cream shop, the environment isn't fully coffee-centric. Coffee is the focus earlier in the day, with ice cream taking over later. There is limited seating, and for me, part of the coffee shop experience is slowing down, drinking from a proper mug, and enjoying a calm, dedicated café environment. I'm not sure what their long-term plans are, but I hope they eventually move into their own space. They clearly care about what they're doing, and it would be great to see them grow into a full coffee shop experience. Best of luck to them.

We ordered an off menu drink based upon his recommendation and it was delicious. He also shared a ton of fantastic tips for other places to visit in the FL area.
