Great burger, and we sat outside upstairs with a great view of people passing by. Love the sweet potato fries and the crispy, buttery bun that came with my burger. Service was stellar. Everyone loved their food. My friend got the seafood crêpe. highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed this place three years ago and decided to return today--it was a great idea because: --wonderful ambiance --thoughtful service --delicious food Whether we are a table for two or in a larger group, Banana Cafe delivers a delicious breakfast/ brunch.

I've been to banana Café a few times over the past few years. Each time has been great. I really love the crêpes. You can get fruity or hearty. As expected their banana bread is delicious. Make sure you get some! The service is always great although sometimes the kitchen is slow to be served your food.. but you're in the Keys so no rush! There's upstairs seating and downstairs seating, and usually the wait goes quick if you arrive during prime breakfast hours. I'll keep returning back here for breakfast. I love the huge variety of crêpes they have on the menu. And how great they taste!

Quaint place, lovely staff! Tried the inside out crepe ... I loved it, my husband thought it was lacking fillings. Our crepes didn't come with any sides which seemed odd. However, it was an overall delightful experience.

Came here and enjoyed a morning in the middle of Key West! Love this place. We had: Salmon on an English muffin topped with an egg and hollandaise sauce YUM!! / Salmon crepe (dont knock it until you try these) Service was amazing and super friendly. Remember working that morning and had to sit outside. There is fans and its pretty cool there. Gets busy after 11am so get there early. Parking is free (first come first serve) Thanks guys!

Lovely!!! Just go! I had the Inside Out Crepe with Key Lime Hollandaise - WOW - phenomenal! Manager or maybe the owner? checked in - she was so kind and accommodating. Restaurant is open air, dog-friendly and very cool with lots of fans. Our waiter, Alberto, was also very attentive and kind! Don't hesitate to eat here - EVERYTHING was amazing! My iced expresso was also delish!

The food was amazing! I got a strawberry Nutella crepe and it was very good. We are not local but if I ever come back, I'd love to stop here. Our server was supper nice and helpful. Although it was hot outside, the inside has fans to keep it cool with a nice breeze.

We came here for lunch the other day. Here is what I thought. Atmosphere: I've been to the Banana Cafe on a previous trip to Key West and I was so excited to come back! The cafe is located near the southern end of Duval Street. The place is quaintly decorated. It had indoor and outdoor seating. Restroom: I used the single stall restroom upstairs. It was nice and clean! Service: Our service was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food: We loved our food. I got their 'BLT Sandwich' with friends and my husband for their 'Shrimp Salad Sandwich' with sweet potato fries. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. It came out quick and was fresh. This is a great place for a quick, delicious breakfast or lunch. They definitely had some unique food options. We love the Banana Cafe and will be back on our next trip to Key West!

Delicious! Friendly! So cute! I'm gluten free but I had options and I chose the frittata. Everyone loved their food from the steak and eggs to the seafood omelette. It was no trouble to get seated even on a busy Saturday with a party of 6. Such a cute spot, I do recommend.

Breakfast off Duval Street can be a little challenging and definitely touristy, this is a cool little restaurant that was almost filled when we arrived but luckily we were able to get seated upstairs at a two top inside without a wait. The staff here was very friendly and extremely busy so not very attentive but we managed to get our food rather quickly although it was barely warm upon arrival. We chose the egg and bacon croissant with potatoes and a banana foster waffle both were just okay, if they were warm I think maybe we would be talking outstanding since they were of high quality. The coffee here is delicious but unfortunately not plentiful, again the staff was strained and working very hard but not as efficient as they could be, maybe a little more management over-sight on the floor. The prices were reasonable considering its Key West, I'd love to revisit during a different meal service when the restaurant staff is not so stressed so I'll give them an extra star...

Love the Banana Cafe! I stopped by for brunch with friends a few months ago and haven't stopped thinking about it! The restaurant is right on Duval St and has a very cute vintage tropical theme that gives the space a fun and bright vibe. The staff here are hardworking, and the food can't be beat, especially for the price! Try the Croque Monsieur and Iced Mocha Latte the next time you're here - you won't be disappointed!

Five stars! Amazing food, fantastic Key West vibe, and a relaxed ambiance that makes you feel like you've been transported to the islands. Fresh food vibrant cocktails and perfectly balanced mojitos, plus a breezy outdoor patio with colorful décor. Attentive, friendly staff and speedy service. Perfect spot for a casual date night or a fun dinner with friends -- can't wait to come back. Love breakfast all day!! My BLAST was great

I see quite a few vegetarian options on the menu but are there any options for vegans, specifically the crepes?

Avoid the veggie burger! It's probably made with decent ingredients, but they deep fry it and it tastes like old grease. Inedible.

    Do they take reservations?

I'm not sure but I think it's pretty casual and not crazy busy

I ordered the La Printanière, which is a buckwheat crepe with mix salad, avocados, goat cheese, pears, strawberries, spicy candied walnuts, vinaigrette ($15) with added prosciutto (+$4). The crepe itself was fine, a bit drier than I expected but fine. Where my enjoyment ended was finding a large piece of parchment paper deep in my crepe. It was clearly the paper that is in between slices of prosciutto, but it was large enough anyone assembling this dish should have seen it. It definitely made me question the care and attention of the kitchen staff. I brought it to the attention of our server, and he took the plate back to the kitchen. He did take a few dollars off of our bill, although not the entire $19. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the restaurant.

Both were super flavorful and rich. My husband ordered escargot and filet and no complaints there either. The Angels on Horseback (or wrapped dates), not worth it. The Duck a'L' orange was also good but would've been better if actually baked in the sauce that came on the side so a bit dry as a result. And the rack of lamb, was suppose to be medium rare as the server stated. But only 1 of the 5 ribs was medium rare, the rest were past medium. Presentation of the rack also not even appetizing. The key lime pie with the homemade marshmallow was suprisingly good though. But not returning, sorry.

We came across Blackfin Bistro on our last night in Key West. If we had discovered it earlier in…read morethe trip, it likely would have earned a repeat visit. Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.
