a sandwich on a paper plate

SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 5 DRINK QUALITY: N/A ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 3 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 4 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 4.5 Was looking for a quick brunch so i decided to come here after reading the reviews. The restaurant is very small, and only has enough room for a couple people in it. The inside is also a little cluttered with things, and really destroys the aesthetic, but they have a couple tables outside so probably best to eat outside and enjoy that Florida sun. The employees are very nice, and very informative. If you have any questions about the menu they are willing to explain. I decided to go with the breakfast sandwich on Cuban bread. It was very tasty. It didn't look like much but I added a little hot sauce and it hit the spot. They have a mid size menu with plenty of coffees if you need a pick me up. Overall this was exactly what I was looking for. Something small, and quick that wasn't fast food, but authentic and tasty. Plus they had outdoor seating so I got to soak in some extra vitamin D. Great little place.

Bacon, Egg, and Cheese

This was a great grab and go place! We picked up some breakfast right before we ran out on a snorkel tour. It's quite small inside, a few stools to eat at but not a sit down place. I ordered the Banana bread ahead of time, however, when we went to pick it up, they were out. That was a bummer, however, I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese! It was a great portion size, I would say it's worth the money! The overall flavor was lacking a bit, the egg was slightly over cooked too. BUTTTT I would definitely recommend the smoothie, it was so delicious!

Colada #cafecitocubanopordios

Brenda made us a great " colada". Little cafe conveniently located near Duval Street, Mallory Square. Has an extensive menu for such a small place. Sandwiches, Breakfast, Pasteles, and of course, cafecito cubano. They have 3 versions of " Cuban Sandwich,' very funny. Aside from the colada I tried a Pastelito de Guayaba. It was ok, but could not compare to the Miami ones. Before leaving Key West on a day long trip we stopped to pick a " colada" for the return drive.

Cuban coffee to go

After a Fury sunset cruise, this was the perfect place to grab a Cafe Con Leche before our drive home. This is a small spot, just good for a coffee to go. Don't expect more and you won't be disappointed. There were no bathrooms. I'd go back. Or try somewhere else. I'm undecided.

This is definitely a much more authentic Cuban cafe near duval. Being that many places claim to be Cuban on duval street we try to go to more small local owned spots out of the touristy area. Coffee was ok, food was good and service was great.

Authentic cuban sandwich

Decent cuban sandwich, not the best ive had. Made it in 4mins top since I needed a quick bite. Bread was good, could use more meat, and too much mayo as you can see in the photo attached. Ended up costing $9.7 with tax.

We're spending the week in Key West and making a point of visiting as many coffee shops as…read morepossible. When we walked to Doing Work Coffee, we were initially a bit confused and weren't sure we were in the right place. That's understandable, since it shares space with Wicked Lick Ice Cream. Fortunately, the owner noticed our confusion and warmly invited us in. Food: It wasn't listed on the menu, but they were happy to make me a London Fog tea latte. My son ordered a white chocolate latte. Both drinks were good. Personally, I prefer coffee served in a mug, and they only use paper cups, which took away a bit from the experience. They don't offer much in the way of baked goods, but they did have butterscotch scones. The scone was slightly too sweet for my taste, but the texture was excellent. They heated it for us, which made it even more enjoyable. Service: The service was exceptionally friendly. We felt genuinely welcomed, and the owner took the time to have a conversation with us. After hearing his story and seeing his commitment and work ethic firsthand, I found myself rooting for his success. Atmosphere: Since they share space with the ice cream shop, the environment isn't fully coffee-centric. Coffee is the focus earlier in the day, with ice cream taking over later. There is limited seating, and for me, part of the coffee shop experience is slowing down, drinking from a proper mug, and enjoying a calm, dedicated café environment. I'm not sure what their long-term plans are, but I hope they eventually move into their own space. They clearly care about what they're doing, and it would be great to see them grow into a full coffee shop experience. Best of luck to them.

We ordered an off menu drink based upon his recommendation and it was delicious. He also shared a ton of fantastic tips for other places to visit in the FL area. I arrived around 7:30 a.m., and the place was already starting to get busy. Food They offer a very interesting assortment of donuts, including flavors you don't typically see elsewhere. Options like Blueberry Cheesecake, Brown Butter Hazelnut, and Cuban Coffee Cake stand out. I chose the Cuban Coffee Cake. It was essentially a spiced coffee cake shaped like a donut, topped with plenty of glaze and crumble. The portion was generous. It could easily feed two people, but I managed to finish the entire thing. For a beverage, I ordered a Mocha Latte. The flavor was very good, but it was served on the cool side. It was completely cold before I finished, and I ended up tossing the last portion. They only serve drinks in paper cups, not ceramic mugs. Although mugs were visible, I was told the health department does not allow them to use them. For me, coffee in a real mug always feels better than paper. Service I have mixed feelings about the service. The person taking my order seemed a bit on edge. When I asked about the mug situation, she appeared annoyed that I would even ask. Since it was my first visit, I asked about the most popular donut, and that also seemed to irritate her. I rephrased and asked for her personal favorite instead, which she answered more willingly. I noticed a few other staff interactions, and the overall tone of the crew felt tense. Not sure if that's typical or if it was just a busy morning. Atmosphere I took a small table inside to finish my coffee and donut. There are several small tables, best suited for two people. Toward the back of the dining area there were boxes and pallets visible. This isn't necessarily a place you visit for ambiance. Most people grabbed a box of donuts and left. Only a handful were dining inside. If you want a good donut with creative flavors, this place delivers. Just don't expect a relaxed coffee shop experience with welcoming, friendly staff.

Both were really good but I would say the maple bacon one was better just because the Cuban Coffee Cake was thicker, more doughy. But the flavor was delicious on it I just liked how soft the maple bacon dough was. Either way, I can't wait to come back and try more flavors. The coffee was really good as well! Scott was so great, such a pleasure to meet. Will come back very soon!
