Ian got back to me and said the good news was the photos were still there. The problem was the Plastic Case it was in. (the enclosure) He gave me 3 options, 1 being pick it back up NO charge. 2 a new enclosure. I picked door # 2 3 new External hard drive either 1 or 2 T. I picked door #2 24 hours later my hard drive is back in action, all my photos are accessible and I am very happy! Thank you Ian for all your patience and time taking me through the process.

I returned when they said and powered the new one up in-store and found that they had only transferred my desktop. I inquired and they had no idea nor did they have my old computer. The two guys huddled in the other room and I heard one of them say "~he pays more for French keyboards"... Mine was French. I'm a trucker so I have more receipts/expenses than the rest of the public; I lost $50,000.00 in tax receipts because they were from multiple unfiled years.
