The hamachi carpaccio is good, but the portion is too small for the price, even by our standard.

Great neighborhood spot for sushi, tapas, and to our surprise, incredible ramen as well. It's a cozy little corner restaurant that's an easy walk-in for a small group. We ordered the "top secret" crispy rice tuna, salmon avocado maki roll, sakura blossom specialty roll, and ramen. Everything was on the money! I'm always skeptical to order ramen at a sushi spot because it's usually not their focus, but this one was fantastic! Great flavor. It was perfect for our casual date night and we will be back :)

A warm meal on a cold night. Unagi Ochazuke. Chawanmushi (takes some time to be prepared and you won't regret the wait). Popular with a wait-list on some nights.

My friend and I went here on a rainy weekday night. We were seated immediately in a cozy booth-like area that was enclosed by a wooden fence. The restaurant was half full, and the service was quick in allowing us to order, serving us food, and bring us the check. We ordered the Stuffed Mushroom, the Wagyu Carpaccio, the Dash Special Roll, and Chicken Karaage. The mushrooms were rich and flavorful, the carpaccio had a good blend of salty and sweet, the dash special roll incorporated popcorn shrimp nicely, and the chicken karaage was quite crunchy! Overall, I enjoyed trying some of their tapas and would love to come back to try more!

Chirashi bowl 5/5 - this was really good and only $34! There was a decent amount of fish and a good variety. All the fish tasted fresh. Fish to rice ratio was also really good. We also tried some of the appetizers and fish cake soup which I thought was okay. But I would definitely come back for their chirashi bowl! It was pretty busy on a Saturday night but I don't think there was a wait. We had a big party and got seated right away.

The place was pretty busy, so service was a bit slow but very respectful. The ambiance was quite nice and had more seating towards the back. The rolls were small for the price, and not very filling. The flavor was good, but for some reason their wasabi wasn't very strong, and my friend's roll didn't come with any wasabi or ginger. Overall, a good spot for sushi in Noe, but still suffers from the Noe tax.

Loved this place and so happy it's in my neighborhood. I was a bit surprised by some of the more critical reviews since I thought the three things I got were excellent (maybe I just ordered well haha). - Top Secret - the crispy rice is cooked to perfection and the spicy tuna goes so nicely with it. Comes in four pieces so a great sharing dish though I devoured them all myself (5/5) - dash taco - nice and cold which is nicely complements the hot crispy rice dish. I love a tempura battered seaweed shell (4.5/5) - I waited too long before eating the second one and it got a touch soggy so eat it when it arrives - daily special - I got the o-toro nigiri. This was divine and the first thing I ate. LOVED (5/5) Lastly - I thoroughly appreciate a restaurant open on Mondays bc you know, many places aren't open (ugh SF!). And as solo diner walking in at 5:30pm I didn't have to wait

A quiet sushi place located in Noe Valley! They have a wide variety of options and have an Izakaya vibe with some fusion items. My friend and I split: - Rising Sun ($17) - 3/5 I liked the tuna freshness but it was balanced out by the soggy/old fried crab in the middle - 49ers ($16) - 3/5 Simple California roll with salmon and lemon slices on top; just an average roll. - Wagyu Carpaccio ($15) - 2/5 I was kind of confused with this one because I expected it to be raw. The pieces were chewy but I also expected more flavor. - Hamachi Carpaccio ($15) - 4/5 My favorite thing that we got! I love me some good hamachi. For the rolls, they were tightly packed; love this because some places got rice falling everywhere. Service was good! The servers were nice. Overall, just another sushi place; nothing bad but also nothing amazing.

This is delicious! Ika-Uni Special! A must!

Delicious food and sushi but with a spin. The small plates allow you to try every delicious selection or share with others. Flavors are spot on, very friendly staff. Comfy interiors with plenty of seating, even to accommodate large groups. We will be back and recommend.

The service was very good and it's a nice looking space on Diamond/24th. The menu has some interesting options as well as everything else you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. For me, the taste just wasn't there tonight for most of the choices that we made. The miso soup in my opinion was too complex and heavy. The salmon tacos were served with salsa and deep-fried, tempura seaweed cups. The only thing I could taste was the salsa. My chicken teriyaki was just ok, again the flavors were off. The chicken wasn't seasoned very well, and the teriyaki sauce I requested on the side was very thick and too sweet. The lamb chops were the best choice that we made for dinner.

Left: Sakura Blossom Right: Creamy Scallop - both 5/5!

Great sushi spot in Noe Valley! We came here with a few friends close to closing and they were very accommodating, quick service, and offered a friend environment, especially from "Aunt Mimi". All the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back again!

It is such a treat to come to Dash for the tapas, as I follow the best reviews here. These dishes are unique, tasty, fresh, with lots of flavors! We had the Dash Tacos: one bite introduces this restaurant's ability to create deliciousness! Wagyu carpaccio: tender & tasty; Tuna Salmon Tower: fresh fun to scoop on top of a crispy chip drizzled with their sauce; and Top Secret: no photos to keep it a secret! Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Nice clean cozy restaurant for dates and families in Noe Valley. You can also treat yourself and come alone! Will return to try their sashimi.

We stumbled on this place and what a nice surprise! It's a lovely restaurant that has nice vibes, it's actually quite bigger than it seems. We got the Sakura roll, dragon roll, and unagi fried rice. The rolls were pretty standard. We really liked the rice. It was super unique from other Japanese restaurants we'd been to, and the portion was good. I loved the crispy salmon skin and the textures in this rice. The highlight of the meal.

The sandwich comes with a small dressed salad and three tomato halves. It was nice. The potatoes served with the sandwich were roasted but served cold and dry. Like they were left over from the night before. Randy enjoyed his mocha. We shared a very dry, flavorless except for the two small bits of jam in them, "cheese" danish. Definitely skip this $7 item that you could get at a circle k for $1.50 and it would taste fresher. You order when you walk in and someone delivers your order and then you're left to fend for yourself. We were able to locate some ketchup for the potatoes on our own. Nobody ever checked on us. This is the second place on this visit that's charging an extra 5% fee so that their employees can have a living wage and health insurance, which absolutely, every employee should have. With the prices they charge, they should already be able to do that, though. I read an article about this fee with many different names and I would rather pay a bit higher of a price and know the employees were taken care of than be surprised by this fee later. Two sandwich breakfasts, a mocha and a danish on top of tax and their healthy sf fee was $63. Steep for the quality we got. Won't be back.

And I was tired of the typical American or Italian fare. Abrazo popped to the top so I booked the reservation for 7:30. When we arrived, we seated at a wonderful table in the corner of the restaurant. The main dining room is boutique sized, but they don't overstuff it with tables so you do not feel like your neighbor is breathing on your food or listening to every word you say. Ha. Ha. The service was impeccable. They treated us like guests. We chose to eat from the small plate portion of the menu, although the main course meals looked incredible as well. Every dish was delectable. From the brussels sprouts (which would not be one of my typical selections - but which was mouthwatering ), to the Salmon (which is much more closer to lox than American Salmon), to the meatballs, to the garden salad, every bite was flavorful, fresh and brought smiles to our faces. And don't forget to order their fresh bread. And did I mention the service? Home style, friendly, attentive.... Like great local restaurants used to be. I highly recommend Abrazo - both special occasions and for a "let's try something different" week night. Once you step through the doors, however, you're greeted by a space that feels both cozy and contemporary, with an effortlessly stylish atmosphere. Even the restroom was thoughtfully designed and remarkably comfortable--a small detail, but one that speaks to the restaurant's overall attention to detail. We began with the Uni Scallop Toast and Mulhwe as appetizers. As someone who is typically not a fan of uni due to its pronounced brininess, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the toast. The bright citrus sauce balanced the richness of the uni beautifully, while the contrasting textures from the crisp toast and delicate scallop created a harmonious bite. The scallop also helped mellow the stronger oceanic notes of the uni. It was a creative and memorable dish unlike anything I've had before. The Mulhwe, a Korean-style fish salad, was dressed in a refreshing apple vinaigrette that gave it a light, summery citrus character. The fish itself had a pleasantly chewy texture--firmer than salmon--with no trace of fishiness. While enjoyable, it didn't leave quite the same impression as the uni toast and was my least favorite dish of the evening. For our entrées, we ordered the Galbi Steak and Pork Jowl Bossam. Both dishes showcased exceptional execution. The meats were cooked perfectly, but what stood out even more was the precision in preparation. The steak was expertly sliced and incredibly tender--so much so that even with braces, it was effortless to enjoy. The pork jowl achieved an ideal balance between lean meat and luscious fat, creating a rich yet satisfying bite. We enjoyed the meal so much that dessert was non-negotiable. The Matcha Tiramisu was a creative interpretation of the classic. A dome of mascarpone cheese encased ladyfinger biscuits at its center, accompanied by a vibrant matcha ganache sauce. The dessert leaned far less sweet than traditional tiramisu, allowing the earthy matcha and creamy mascarpone flavors to shine. It was elegant, balanced, and a wonderful way to end the meal. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our server was soft-spoken, patient, and genuinely attentive throughout the evening, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. Considering the quality of the food, thoughtful presentation, ambiance, and service, I found the pricing to be completely justified. As a pleasant surprise, I later learned that Bansang is part of the same restaurant group behind Daeho--a detail that certainly explains the level of quality we experienced.

The toast, scallops, and uni were all served at the same temperature, and the sauce was barely noticeable, adding little to the dish. A contrast in temperature, texture, or a more pronounced sauce would have made it much more enjoyable. The Scallop & Shrimp Salad was overly sweet, which overpowered the delicate flavors of the seafood. The Chicken Wings were decent, but at 4 wings for $18, they felt overpriced. The Mushroom Silk Tofu was beautifully presented and visually appealing. The Black Cod was cooked perfectly--moist, tender, and flaky. However, while the fish itself was excellent, the sauce was forgettable and didn't leave a lasting impression or elevate the dish. Overall, the food was mediocre. While each dish had potential, the flavors often felt disconnected and lacked harmony. Combined with the expensive price point, the overall dining experience didn't justify the cost. The ambiance is lovely, but I left hoping for a more memorable meal. Wouldn't come back.
