I ordered this from Uber eats recently and was really pleased. Stellar food. Got the marinated chicken and beef shish kabobs plus chickpeas. The chicken was just perfectly done, well marinated and cooked just the right amount. The beef was pretty good too but the chicken stood out. Of particular note, the white and green sauces that came with out set the dish apart. The white sauce in particular brings a great pop to the dish. The chickpeas could have been more flavorful and I'd suggest another side. Thanks Darya - great food, will definitely be ordering again. read more

This restaurant has wonderful menu list. You order from the counter and they will serve you the food. We ordered the Beef Kebab (#5) and chicken kebab (#1). We both enjoyed our food a lot. Presentation of food plates was pretty and serving size is generous too. Our food came with Pita breads and it looks like it was homemade. It's the best I ever tasted and I love that it was crunchy too. You also have choice of sides with your food and we got the green salad and the chickpeas. The salad dressing was really yummy! All in all I highly recommend this place! I will definitely come back read more

Food came quickly, was very reasonably priced, and was excellent. The naan was especially good but I enjoyed every part of my gyro wrap.

Ordered take out from here for the first time and everything we got was super delicious. The beef Kofta Kebab was really tender and flavorful. Same for the stew and chickpeas. Portions were good for what we ordered and the restaurant itself seemed pretty busy. I just wish I was better at pronouncing the names of the dishes! I think I really butchered the names when I was ordering for pick up. Will definitely go here again. read more

Food was top notch!! Large portions, great flavor and tender meat. The Gyro Platter by far was the best I've had in Sterling, Ashburn and Herndon. read more

I've done takeout from here before, but last week came for lunch with a friend. They had 3-4 other people, but there was enough seating for all of us without feeling cramped. Friendly customer service and fast preparation. I ordered beef koobideh with rice and bread for $8.99 - not bad at all considering that the way I eat, their one portion kept me full at both lunch and dinner. Love their rice, it's not sticky at all. And I can't get enough of their tandoori bread - it's delicious. One of the reviewers mentioned that once the bread is not hot, it turns into rubbery texture - nonsense! I put mine in a toaster and it works just fine :) I will come back. read more

Good food and service. We always enjoy the food we order there. Prices are also pretty fair as well!

I've ordered their chicken kabob wrap three times and every time, it has been so delicious and messy at the same time. I think this is my favorite chicken sandwich, now. I never thought anything could dethrone the chicken shawarma as my favorite sandwich. Why would anyone waste their money at McDonald's or subway when you can get the food of the heavens for $6.99?? The chunks of chicken are always juicy and large. They always roll out of my pita that gets a bit floppy and soggy. I make it worse by pouring the delicious green sauce in and dipping it in the yogurt sauce. I cannot eat this sandwich without dripping juices all over my hands. As inconvenient as this is, the sandwich is just that good!! And for $6.99 I'm surprised they include a bag of chips. It takes about 10-15 minutes for them to prepare and they are always friendly when I go in to pick it up. I also tried the qabeli platter because qabuli palau was my favorite dish to order at Afghan Kabob in Springfield. Oh man, I did not expect such tender meat and an entire shank! I'm so happy to have a takeout option that cooks up comfort food like a grandma, but also cooks the meat up just right and offers a big enough portion where I would proudly recommend it to any hungry dude. read more

The food is good' however, their customer service is below Zero!! when you place order on the phone, pick up or delivery, they make mistakes but no apology if you reach out the managers. For the first time after living in US all my life I noticed a restaurant manager argue with the customer instead of apologizing for the mistake they made in the order. They do not give customer money back & instead says " Next time you come ask for Ali, my name is Ali & I will give you extra food...." . I think their management team need a lot of training!!! read more

Great restaurant. Fair prices compared to other kabob places in the area and I would definitely recommend.

We went there yesterday very close to iftar time. It was busy. Yet they served us quickly and we were able to break our fast on time. They served with smiley face even though I could see how busy it was. Thank you! read more

Very expensive for unflavored food, chicken is dry and kufta kabob has no seasoning. I eat kabob at least 3 times a week and never write reviews. I had to be a good person and warn others from going to this place. Please save your money and go somewhere else, there's lots of options nearby. read more

Really terrible customer service. Not ever coming back. I came with a large group and we ordered food to eat-in. None of the staff said anything when we placed our order. When our food was ready, we see our food is placed in to go bags. This after leaving a 20% tip. What a rip off. read more

I found this Kabob place and I was surprised how good their food is. I ordered bone-in chicken kabob and Lamb kabob platter. The chicken kabob was extremely tender and juicy and very flavorful. The lamb was equally good. The flavored rice was very aromatic. The chickpea and the sauces were also good. I would go back again. read more

Loved the lamb wrap kabab. Took 15mins to make but well worth the wait. I'll definetly treat myself to that again.

This is a family run business that did great service and stayed open with excellent quality food through the Covid lockdown. The service is good and the quality of food has always been excellent. Reasonable prices and decent food. Ordered the beef kubideh, which came with 2 strips of kubideh, half a piece of bread, rice and a small side of chick peas. The rice was way over cooked and too soggy. The kubideh was slightly spicy, which was awesome and seasoned well, but was a bit dry. (Shamshiry has the perfect kubideh IMO). The chick peas was also underwhelming. The bread was delicious tough. Don't think I would return, but it's a decent option for the area if you're craving Persian food. read more

I've eaten from here dozens of times over the years, but always carry out. In that span of time, there's been two changes of ownership and the food has improved both times. Currently, it's Afghan style kabobs. My preferred dish is the chenjeh and joojeh (steak and chicken combo). I don't care for the kubideh, it's been dry the few times I tried it. Their white sauce is pretty good but their spicy sauce sucks. It's watery and I hate the fact they keep it on the back counter all day with no refrigeration. I've given them feedback as to how to make their operation better, but they dismissed it and continue "how we've always done it." Once I called to place an order for pick up, like I ALWAYS do, they put me on hold for 3-4 minutes and then came back to tell me that they're not taking any more phone orders. I hung up without saying a word but knew they were probably busy because of Ramadan's fast-breaking time. Their simple operation had reached its capacity and their complacent attitude was limiting their growth. Truth be told, if the location wasn't so darn convenient for me, I doubt I would choose this place over the many other great Kabob houses in the area. read more

Decided to finally try this kabob joint out, and I am SO glad that I did. The inside is like a cafe, with lots of tables for those who want to eat in. I was doing take-away, but the layout was nice. Order at the counter, and there is a large menu board with descriptions and pictures. This is very helpful for those of us who are not Kabob experts (this is a Persian-style kabob shop). Additionally, the family that runs this shop is very friendly and kind. I went for the straightforward Kabob Kubideh, beef skewers on rice with bread, and I also decided to try out a piece of their baklava. The order was ready in under 10 minutes, and I was on my way. My order consisted of 2 large ground beef kabobs over LOTS of rice, a grilled tomato, and a half piece of bread (huge by the way). Everything was fresh and cooked very well. The beef actually had seasonings I could taste, and there was onion mixed into it. The rice was nice and fluffy, not greasy. The bread was soft and chewy, great stuff. There was also a homemade yogurt sauce that was just the right creaminess to give your food a quick cool-down if needed. The baklava was very good as well - lots of sweet honey and nuts baked into that phyllo dough. Definitely going to get some of that again. It's great to have this neighborhood kabob shop, and it's going to be my default from now on. read more

3.5 stars. A pretty decent and authentic mom and pop kabob place in the area for about $9 a plate. The place looked a bit run down, but smelled amazing. I decided to order the kubideh with rice and bread and wasn't too disappointed...but pay attention to my next statement here. The meat was tender but dry. How does this make sense? It didn't make sense to me until later, but the meat was a good texture--not tough whatsoever, however it was NOT juicy. That is really the only thing that was stopping me from giving this place another star. The platter also includes a generous portion of fluffy rice with saffron, and a large, delicious naan. Very convenient location to my home in northern virginia, decently good food, for an OK price, service was average, and their yogurt sauce was pretty good. not too shabby UPDATE 03/12/15: I ordered the sultani combo on a second visit, and it was game changer! $10.99, so i'll keep the star rating the same, but the tenderloin was delicious. I highly recommend this combo. read more

The most disgusting koobideh kabob I have had in my life. Just nasty. I gaged and threw it out. I love kababs and especially koobideh so it's my eating out dish of choice for decades. Trust me. If you think you like this junk, that means you have not tried actual koobideh. read more

Delicious option for kabobs. Our family came on a Saturday afternoon based on Yelp reviews. My wife and I ordered the chicken kabob wrap and the Kubideh (beef) wrap, which were about $6 each. Although it's not printed in the picture menu behind the front counter, you can ask for the wrap option instead of the full platter. We sat down in the informal setting. It's not a fancy place, but is kid-friendly and had a few customers with take-out orders. After 5 minutes, somebody from the kitchen brought the the kabob wraps out on a tray. The seasoning was delightful with the vegetables and meat. But the highlight of the meal was the yogurt sauce, which was more flavorful than Moby Dick's or other kabob places we have visited in N. Virginia. read more

Recommend this place. Good food, clean, Infact the cleanest halal restaurant I have seen in this area. Service is good. Food is delicious. Their chengchi (not sure about spellings) is perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Everything on their menu is good but that is by far my favorite. The beef shreds and melts in your mouth beautifully. I love the fact they give real yogurt as a side with your meat and not that disgusting ranch like other places. Food price is a little bit on the higher end (not ridiculously expensive) but it totally makes up for the food quality and taste. I'll still pay a little more and get good food. Do try this place is you haven't already. You will want to go back or get it delivered via Grubhub/DoorDash read more

My sister and I stopped in on a whim and found a warm, friendly, environment. Once they knew it was our first time the staff went out of their way to make sure we knew what the dishes were. I tried the beef kabob while my sister had the chicken and beef. The food is very good and filling. Worth the price. The complimentary hot tea and water are a wonderful touch. Sometimes I am leery going to ethnic establishments because some places make strangers feel unwelcome; but the staff here don't seem to notice outward differences. read more

What a great food; never know this place until i drove by and turned around. It is not a big or a fancy place but they have a great chicken and lamb kabob. It taste fresh, looks fresh and smells fresh. The price is reasonable; not too cheap and not expensive at all. One downside is, no one will greet you as you walk-in and it is a turn off if this your first visit. Parking is not that bad though is not easy to get a spot front of the restaurant; but there plenty of parking at the shopping center. May be you should try and share your experience with others. read more
