We hired Joe to help us with our first renovation project and it over exceeded our expectations. We had a vision for the space and the guys executed it to perfection and went beyond what we envisioned. All the guys were very nice and approachable. I hired Darosa Construction to remodel and build an addition onto my home. This was a big project, so I wanted to make sure I chose someone reliable, knowledgeable and flexible to work with. The owner, Joe Darosa, was the only general contractor who provided a fully detailed estimate, broken down by inspection phases, so that it was simple and straightforward to understand exactly what you were paying for and when you were paying. This is crucial to the process because it's important be on the same page as far as the payments are concerned. Joe is a down to earth person who listened to every idea, question and concern I had and was always respectful, never making you feel like you were asking any dumb questions. Even better, all the subs on the job were the same way. It's evident that Joe has managed to acquire an awesome crew over the years and has a wealth of resources available. It was important for me to not only have quality work done, but I also had a fairly tight timeline to work with. Joe delivered on both. He is both very detail oriented and incredibly hard working. He also came up with some nice design ideas, (like capping my shower and tub ledge in stone) that came out really beautiful. Darosa Construction is my first choice for any project. I have used them many times over the years and have always been very pleased with their responsiveness, efficiency and pricing. I recently had several major repairs to do on my 1927 bungalow due to termite damage. I was out of town, but I called Joe Darosa, who came to the house and worked with me over the phone. He completely replaced the top of a termite infested arbor with a laminate lattice that matched the treated redwood posts perfectly. His crew tore down and rebuilt fences and locking gates, rebuilt window sills, sanded, cached and painted windows and door frames, replaced and patched damaged stucco all around the perimeter of the house, tore out rotten, water damaged wood around the garage and replaced and shored it up. They also did work in the interior. The neighbors on both sides called to tell me how professional and polite he and his crew were. They finished everything in the 2 1/2 weeks we'd agreed on. I cannot recommend Joe Darosa enough. Hire him. You won't regret it. read more
