What could've been better * He typically arrived at 9:30/10am * He didn't always stay until 5pm * The project did not finish within the original estimated timeline What we loved * The workmanship was exceptional * His experience and expertise clearly showed * He stood by his work and came back after completion to address any issues * Most importantly -- we're extremely happy with the final result Jake is not your typical contractor. Very bad experience. Jake is a super nice guy but the 4-6 day job turned in to nearly 3 weeks. It didn't help that he showed up around 11:00 AM every day which after 7 days that's a loss of 21 hours. He was coming from riverside so we cut him slack on the drive but although the floors look ok he left the baseboards for us to do even though it was 100% included. I am now in the process of hiring a different flooring company to come finish his work. He said he felt very good about how he left us. The pictures tell the story. read more

I had a few issues with my vinyl floor including a hill/buckling downstairs near the kitchen sink and a big dip upstairs. There was a surprise upstairs that the big dip was due to a poorly done previous repair of a hole, and Jake got all the right materials to fix it. We had a great floor installation experience with Jake. He leveled our subfloor and installed our flooring + baseboards. We live in a two bedroom condo and couldn't leave for the work to be done, he worked with and around us so that we were able to stay in our home the whole time. He is very professional and transparent which made us very comfortable hiring him. His pricing is fair and he works hard to make sure you're happy with the work. He is very detail oriented. 10/10 would recommend. 10/10 would hire again. Jake and Julio installed almost 2000 sq ft of flooring in under a week. They were always courteous and friendly and did their best to be cleaned up and finished before we came home after work. The floors turned out fantastic and he really went out of the way to make sure that everything turned out perfect. In addition his price was extremely competitive and he did many things that weren't included in higher quotes such as painting the baseboard and moving furniture. He changed the flooring in the bathroom, changed out the toilet/plumbing, redid the shower with straight clean lines all the way to the ceiling, completely changed out the tub and redid the tile work around it, and rewired the new sconces.
