We hired Douglas based on his prompt response to our request for estimate and his great reviews Boy what a job he does! Outstanding work. We had an older mobile master bath Reglaze. Roman tub and shower stall and kitchen sink. The amount of prep is unreal. They do an extremely thorough job and detailed When I got back at end of day I was blown away at how terrific it looked. It looked brand new. I totally recommend his work. He is outstanding and the price is very good as well. Took one day as quoted no changes in price. I'm very happy with our decision to hire him read more

We've had two highly Yep rated reglazing companies work on our kitchen sink in the past and Douglas floored me with his: 1. Professionalism in speaking with me on the phone, discussing the job and giving me an estimate; 2. Excellent prep work to protect the immediate area and the rest of my home from the work. He also had an air pump to minimize the fume exposure; 3. Attention to detail on the reglazing work. This was done yesterday so I have yet to use the sink but it looks GREAT so far. I'm stoked to unveil it to all my dishes. 4. For the work he does, his price was fair and I'm very grateful to have found him. Thank you!! read more

Douglas did an amazing job on my 16 year old walk in shower and brought it back to life. I had mildew/mold growing on the rim of my shower and I couldn't remove it for anything! I bought so many products and received so many quotes from businesses that stated I had to replace the whole shower since it was so old. Douglas told me he could get rid of it and he sure did! I'm so embarrassed because he even took the drain out and found hair the size of a full wig and discarded it for us. I am absolutely happy with his work and his price was very reasonable - definitely nothing close to having to change the whole shower completely! Thank you, Douglas! read more

Douglas made our old tub look new. Literally, when family saw it they thought we replaced it. He came out on a miserably rainy day and got the job done perfectly. We couldn't be happier. read more

Wow! If you need any sort of reglazing or repair done to a shower or bath, these are the guys! So impressed. They went above and beyond to help me with an ongoing problem, and we could not be more pleased. They actually did more than expected, because they wanted to do it right. That's character and professionalism and I am so grateful that I found them. Seriously, incredible people who take pride in doing the job right. Thank you! So happy! read more

I really appreciate how they covered all the areas of the home that they did not want to dirty or accidentally paint. I'd say the bulk of the job was preparing for the paint job. My sink looks shiny and brand new and I think it's totally worth it. They were on time And very courteous and nice. I would recommend. read more

Our tub is still in the 24 hour "drying" phase, so based on our overall experience up to this point, we would 100% recommend Douglas for porcelain reglazing. Douglas was quick to respond to my request for a quote. We needed a reglazing on our 50 year old tub. He was professional respectful, and kind. I appreciated that he provided clear and detailed communication throughout the process. We are happy with the finished product of the tub, as well as how he prepped and cleaned up the space. He arrived on time/early, had all of the necessary tools and came prepared. We are looking forward to seeing how long this glaze will last as he indicated that it was original and never had been glazed/repaired previously. Thank you again Douglas! read more

Douglas came to fix my showers today after my Airbnb guest cracked and made a hole on my shower tub. I gotta say his work is top notch and it was seamless after the repair. The picture is before and after. The paint still wet but I cannot see it with my naked eye. He did the job really quick and I have to thank him for his work. I reached out on Thursday with the issue in my rental property. My fiberglass drop in tub had a crack in addition to chipping on the bottom. Douglas answered right away and by only a voice explanation he was able to provide an estimate and a date to complete the repairs. By Saturday morning in a matter of 3hrs of work the job was completed. The cracks were filled and the base of the tub was resurfaced. I had three other quotes from other local businesses and all were 10X more expensive. So to say the value for the service was excellent is an understatement! I've shared this contact with others that I know already as I would use this service again if needed at other properties. read more

So it was an all day job, but a 100% positive experience. I started by asking for a quote for my two bathrooms on Yelp. Douglas immediately responded. My tub and my shower pan were both in horrible shape. I mean they should not have been used anymore but how do you tell a whole house full of people to stop using the shower? I cringed at the thought of ripping out one-piece tub and shower surrounds and replacing with multi-pieces and having the floor and drywall repairs that would accompany that. I admit I was skeptical that repairs could be done at a fraction of the cost of replacing, but Douglas seemed confident that my situation was repairable so I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. Fernando came in to assess and then took $100 off of my quote because the repair would require less materials than expected. As I mentioned, it was an all-day job. It is also a stinky job, as there are strong chemical fumes involved, but they cleared out after a few hours. Douglas came by at about the mid-point to check on Fernando's work. When Fernando was finished the tub and shower looked brand new! I'm no longer afraid of causing water damage from taking a bath or shower. Another awesome feature is that they guarantee their work, so I know I've got at least as much time as their warranty covers to save up for an eventual bath renovation. I am following their care instructions diligently to get the most out of my "new" bath and shower. Thank you so much Douglas and Fernando for such a pleasant experience! read more

Wonderful experience with Douglas. From start to finish, the communication and professionalism were excellent. He was friendly, honest, and on time. He came to check out my concerns with our shower and provided his expertise and how he could properly address our concerns. His quote was very reasonable and thankfully had availability within a few days. He repaired and refinished our shower, and added the missing foam support under the pan. Our shower looks brand new and we are so happy with the results! Thank you Douglas/Cal West Reglazing! read more

When I first spoke to Douglas he was very responsive and because of his great reviews we decided to have our kitchen countertops and sink reglaze by him. His quote was $1000 for the countertops and $275 for the sink. He started with the countertops and they looked great so I paid him the money and he said he'd come back the next day for the sink. That night I was cleaning everything up in the kitchen and started noticing all of the paint damage that was done as a result of his prepping. Under the cabinets and on the ceiling specifically. I had to spend 2 hours repainting my kitchen. The next day when he arrived for the sink I told him I wanted the sink collars to be removed and replaced but he said he wasn't able to get them out so he reglazed around them. The result was terrible. The glaze never dried, then it peeled and the chemical smell was awful. I later found out it was the result from not removing the collars. He said he would come back to reglaze the sink again but I needed to hire a handyman to take out the collars first. I did so at a cost of $150 to remove the collars and then come back later and replace them after the sink was finished. Douglas redid the glaze and said it needed to cure for 3 days. When he sent me the invoice I said that I'd like to deduct the extra $150 from his quote of $275 that I had to pay the handyman for his mistake. He was short with me and said don't worry about it, it's fine and he hung up the phone. I paid him nothing for the sink but I was willing to give him the difference of $125. We then went on vacation so it cured for 5 days and when we came back the glaze was full of bubbles. I texted and called Douglas but he has ghosted me ever since. Very unprofessional and very disappointing. I've since noticed that the countertop glaze is not smooth as well but instead has gritty pieces throughout. I learned this by wiping them down and nicking my finger. Please don't waste your money because if you do, there's a good chance you'll have to pay twice for the work to be fixed by someone else. read more

Great communication and very clean work. Highly recommend them. Pricing was fair and comparable to others.

We purchased a home in Canyon Lake in May of 2022. It needed a ton of work, we knew this going in. For me, everything was fixable and I could see the possibilities of our new home after some improvements. What I didn't notice the 2 times of viewing the home was the bathtub in the guest house and one of the sinks in the main bedroom. I A's completely devastated when we moved in to believe I could of missed this during our inspection. I am 53 years old and I've never encountered a bathtub ever looking anything like the one in our guest house. How does this even happen. We looked into replacing the entire tub, but having to tear it out and replace all the tile and fixtures would cost about $4500. I was devastated when I heard that figure. Then my husband found this company. Oh my goodness! They were like angels to the rescue. They showed up on time, came in papered off everything in both bathrooms to alleviate any damage to the floors and countertops, and got to work. It took them approximately 5 hours to reglaze, patch and sand our bathtub and sink. It's a huge process that you should only leave to an expert. Trust me! The result was breathtaking taking. My sink and bathtub look like they are brand spanking new. I was absolutely amazed at the beautiful work they did. They were so professional and so respectful to our home. The cost was so reasonable. We paid $650 for both. That saved us about $5000. I highly recommend this company to anyone who hates their bathroom like I did because of the state of their sink or bathtub. read more

Douglas and his team did an amazing job on my rental unit. Some of the glaze was wearing on both the tub and a shower stall.
