The terraces were lovely -Loved the on site restaurant being so easy to access -Towels/washcloths were plentiful and comfy Cons: -Room has a definite musty smell from water damage somewhere. All of my stuff smells musty after the visit -Hot water in a room for 4 people ran out after 2, and was luke warm for the first two. Shower head is cheap and atrocious -Breakfast order was wrong every morning despite filing out the google form as clearly as possible. The form needs revamped to be specific for each guest as existing form was clearly confusing for the kitchen / kitchen does not know how to follow instructions. We had a clear allergy that was disregarded and mixed in with the gluten free guest resulting in frustration and allergen exposure -Restaurant was good but over priced for the quality/type of food. For what we spent, a bread appetizer should be complimentary. Server was nice but hard to get her to stop at our table. $100 pre tip is a lot for a bowl of pasta, a steak, a beer, a glass of wine and some fries. -Why is it so hard to get bottled water? Requests with our breakfast were ignored, and I ended up going to get a pitcher of water from the restaurant

There is also a lovely little electric sauna which did the job. Be aware there are not full amenities here such as showers or other bath items, but there is a sauna shower where you can get a spritz. There is wine, champagne and cheese/charcuterie boards for purchase, and complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and orange peel infused water. Taryn the spa manager was welcoming and friendly. Weekday pricing was very reasonable. My only gripe was the peculiar sitting area, with a motley crew of decor. But that's a minor oversight for what was otherwise a perfect day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Geneva on the lake.

I wrote a review eight years ago and wanted to update. The guy I was dating (now I'm happily…read moresingle) is gone and this is a place I've ventured to many days on my own. I sit at the bar and enjoy a Wine Burger. Just... this is the BEST burger. They DO have wonderful food, and great specials- (of note the Pasta Sunday!) But then if I DON'T get the Wine Burger... I ask myself why didn't I just get the Wine Burger?! lol. To save my poor frazzled mind, that Burger- which is heaven on a plate -is a must. So now I order it and you can change the sides, add a salad- etc. But just get this scrumptious lil slice of Burger Heaven. The service is just fine, but it is slower-so you'll see me scrolling at the bar, yet the food is so worth it. The wine is sweet- as in sticky sweet so if you like the better wineries- Old Mill is those sweet comfort wines. I know what they have and when it's warmer I get a Grindstone Pink, but I like their Chardonnay. For this high palate wine drinker, it's mellow, soft and refreshing. Sure, it's not a high end fancy chard, but it's theirs and I love it. The atmosphere is rustic, cute, funky and casual. I love sitting outside too in the spring/summer. This is my spot. I'll bring friends visiting the area here (to get my Wine Burger- lol). What usually happens is that everyone orders something else and then my Wine Burger arrives. "Oh wow, that looks awesome." "I should've ordered that- maaaan that looks good!" "Hey you don't want to trade do you?" "Oooh! Can I try a little bite?!" No. Get your own. I warned you and I will fight you on this. lol! So go here and always get the wine burger and you'll leave with a tummy full of joy and a smile. This little place may not be a fancy, high end dining experience- but to me it's laid back, delicious- pure joy. It doesn't need fancy trappings or even expensive prices. It's home. Get a Wine Burger. Amen.

Great food. One of our go to places when we dine out. Love the burgers and the old mill dip!read more

I was struck by the interesting architecture and proposed that we take a walk, which brought us to a delightful wine bar. We were very happy we decided to go inside! This historic location has a remarkable menu; I chose the walleye and walnut salad, and my partner had the ribs. There were many other dishes I wished we could try if we had been hungrier. The service was excellent, and the revitalized waterfront area is definitely worth exploring. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Street parking is ample. There was only one other couple dining when we were there and they also seemed to be having a great time. The restaurant seemed very adamant about reservations being made in advance either by phone or their website (their hours are very limited, so reserving online is much easier). The food is very tasty, though the options are very limited (4 entrees and 2 specials). I believe this allows the small staff to create really delicious, fresh, and special plates. You can tell they take pride in their food and put love into everything on the plate. The vegetarian special, the eggplant parmesan, was made with quality cheese and the pasta was wildly fresh. The steak meal had the most delicious bourbon glazed carrots I've ever eaten. The menu mentions the availability of vegan alternatives. Our server was excited to talk about the ingredients and cooking process and was attentive and kind the entire meal. She really worked to ensure that everything was perfect. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building (fairly steep stairs) with one or two tables downstairs in the gift shop area, so be very mindful if accessibility is a concern.

Their hard ciders are also delicious.. the cider with the bourbon hint tasted like a cozy night by a campfire. I would recommend Cranberry wine if you're into cranberry.. they did it right. And some of my other favorites were the Red Raspberry, Blackberry, and Apple wines. The man behind the bar seemed to be the one running the show, he was knowledgeable and very helpful picking out what to try. The service was friendly and enjoyable. They have a lot of little things for sale including hand painted wine glasses that were adorable! The experience here bested every experience I've had at other wineries, and for a fraction of the cost. You can sample 6 wines for $10. I love everything about this place and I will be back often!

This was the most crowded of the wineries we visited, and the patios were getting a bit cluttered, as there weren't really trash cans or anybody bussing the tables. I enjoyed the white flight, the Temptation was my favorite, and we shared a fruit and cheese plate with an apple, crackers, bread and a fantastic aged chedder. The apple was served whole, with a steak knife to carve it up yourself, on a Styrofoam plate, so didn't quite match the scenery and overall vibe, and a steak knife is not the right tool to cut a huge honeycrisp apple. So it was a nice snack, but could have been done a little better. FYI - the actual winery is not super accessible - steps up to the front door, the bathrooms are down a flight of stairs, and the outdoor areas for enjoying your wine are mostly accessed by stairs as well.

They have fun with the church theme with a cardboard cut out nun you can take your photo with. Exiting the back of the church you come upon a couple giant flight of stairs that could be a problem for some visitors. These stairs lead to a seating area up on a platform that feels like you are perched on part of a castle overlooking the fields of grapes. I must confess I'm not a wine expert. I enjoyed the flight of dry reds I ordered. My friend ordered the charcuterie board which had a huge wedge of bread and a very tasty cheese we kept begging for more tastes of.
