They don't take reservations but if you give them a heads up, it'll be smoother for both parties. The place was so lively and everyone who served us were friendly and so accommodating! Our kids went outside and played catch while us adults relaxed and enjoyed the wines, you can see them from the massive windows. The food was wonderful, the goat cheese fondue isn't too rich like a traditional cheese, try it! The hanger steak was so tender and juicy, scallops were not overcooked. Honestly if you are in the area, take a peek at this place and try the local wines. The bottle prices are so fair! Not pretentious and the parking was plenty. So we moved, but since we were in nowhere land we decided to just put the dog in the car to enjoy our wine back on the patio. I understand if you are not dog friendly, but I did call ahead and wouldn't have showed up if I knew we weren't going to be sitting within distance to enjoy the atmosphere. As for food - we ordered the artichoke dip and it had about 3/4 cup of dip - the rest was a chunk of bread. Margarita pizza was good. We'd come back again, but bummed how the evening went.

Not bad for Ohio wines though. The location, and the place for that matter, is pretty rustic. The woods are close by in the back. The wine bar is small and can get quite crowded. Behind the wine bar are tables where you can enjoy a glass or bottle. I've been here three times and have had the same person at the wine bar each time. She's very nice and tries very hard to help with the wines. I was trashing one of the other area wineries in discussing her wines, which I believe contributed to a 5% discount on 6 bottles (not a standard practice) and no sales tax. It probably didn't hurt that I bought a couple of the Reserves. So on customer service alone, this place is a winner. As a bonus, they participate in the Ice Wine Festival every March (two weekends, usually the first two). They have very good Ice Wine, but it is a bit more expensive than South River Winery's. Definitely want to include this place on the circuit through the Grand River Valley.
