Visited Cask during a girls weekend. This was our third winery and perfect timing to grab some food. We had an amazing charcuterie board and hot pretzels. The place was pretty busy but the team kept up nicely with the crowd. The facility and grounds are nicely kept ! They have a small gift shop with a variety of items from local artists. Bath salts, for example in cute packages. Charcuterie boards like the ones they use. I had a glass of the Bourbon Chardonnay and really enjoyed the warm flavors of Carmel and fruit along with the hint of bourbon flavor. Definitely will be back. Beautiful outdoor seating area, some is also covered. Recently learned on our last visit that this winery is owned by Debonne but has different wine offerings.  We've always enjoyed our visits here. There's so much here! Aside from just wine you can also get beer. We got the dry red flight and the sweet flight. Honestly, a lot of the reds kind of all tasted the same. The blend was really good and stood out. Had a full flavor and a slightly jammy finish. The sweet flight was very unique. I was excited about the espresso ice wine! It almost needs to be served colder because I think it loses something when it warms. That being said, they were all sweet but were full of flavor. We had great explanations from the guy that served us. He really helped out. The tasting is a bit pricey for the region but includes a glass and a token for $5 off a bottle purchase. This is my second time at Cask 307, and both times have been incredibly enjoyable! The staff is so knowledgeable about their offerings and incredibly friendly! We got the bourbon chardonnay (10/10) and a red blend, and both were great. We got a cheese board and sat at the bar. Despite it being winter, the place was filling up quickly! It looked like you could make reservations for larger parties, which I would recommend as it can fill up fast, especially with thr patio closed. We will be back for sure! read more

A friend recommend we stop here, and she was certainly right. The winery itself is very nice, with lots of seating inside and out. They have a large variety of wines to try, which of course we did. My wife and I (both wine industry in California) were here for the first time in August 2025 while visiting family in the area. The tasting room was charming and had a very locals vibe to it but without it appearing to be a "locals only hangout." We did one each flight of white and reds, and ordered an amazing charcuterie platter. The wines were lovely, and we both enjoyed every one of them. We even brought a few bottles back to California with us. We stayed inside because it was humid outside, but the outside patios both looked very inviting and comfortable. We visited Cask Three OH Seven for a little date-night. We've been to plenty of wineries and distillery in Geneva/North Madison in the last couple of years. So-far, this place is (one of) top of the list! Maybe it's the fact that I can get a decent beer, maybe it's the modern design mixed with great craftsmanship, or the (limited) but delicious food. Whatever it is, it makes for a great time. The way it's laid-out is a bit intimidating. As soon as you come-in, you're faced with a big bar. Find yourself a seat first, then come back to the bar and order your food/drink. Find a heated table on the patio to the left or enjoy the open-space to the patio behind the bar. When you order your food, they'll give you a table sign and the food will come to you. The beer that stood out to me was the Oktoberfest and their IPA. Both were very pleasant to drink and easy to enjoy. The pretzel bites with cheese dip and mustard was also good, but what really did me in was the Chipotle Chicken. The southwest style to this flatbread made for a very filling and enjoyable meal. Definitely we'll visit again, either with just the two of us or with a group of friends. read more

Large, commercial establishment. This was the second winery we visited here in Madison. I ordered the Rose' of Pinot Grigio because I enjoy Rose' in warm temperatures. It claims a "salmon color" but I would call it more "light pumpkin". The color threw me. It was not unpleasant on the nose, but not as floral or sweet as I am used to, at first smell. The bouquet has a bit of buttery hint to it, but without any floral or sweetness that I expected. The lingering finish was unpleasant. Pass on this one. After another local winery, I'd probably skip this one. Had it been my first dip in the water of Ohio wine, I would have said no thank you. read more

This was one of my favorite wineries in the area. I just loved the atmosphere. The patio was awesome. A more modern type of place, you can tell it's a bit newer. They were packed when we went on a Friday afternoon but we were still able to grab a spot on the main patio deck to enjoy our wine. I had their riesling and my mom had their red blend. We enjoyed an IPA and cream ale, both of which were great. Their wine selection was extensive and each flavor was outstanding. I recommend a flight, so as to experience some unique and traditional flavors across the board. The restrooms could have used tidying. Had a Fumé Blanc and the red blend. Both were very dry and enjoyable. I liked the shorter stemmed wine goblets. The charcuterie board was full of delicious nibbles ranging from sweet to briney. It was enough for four to share if you just need a bite. The flatbread was on the smaller size, wouldn't serve more than a small snack for two. It wasn't bad, but not great either. The toppings were flavorful but the crust was bland. I didn't notice the high prices other reviews mentioned. Came here as the initial stop on a Saturday to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a gorgeous April weekend, so we were able to sit on the expansive patio, and did not have to wait. High top and regular height tables all with very comfortable adirondack chairs. All ordering was done at the bar, food and beverages, and the staff was very friendly and kept the line moving. For food our group ordered some various flatbreads, and a pretzel, which were definitely sufficient. A huge positive for me here was being connected with Double Wing Brewing, and having craft beer. As more of a beer than wine person, this is a huge positive. My wife and I both really enjoyed the Fume Blanc, as a nice, light summery wine. We both also enjoyed the bourbon chardonnay which has the lightness of a chardonnay, but the oak from the bourbon. Really enjoyed this location as the first stop of our Saturday. It is not because there were not enough workers- they just did not even look at you or ever ask if you needed anything or if you were enjoying yourself. 3 of them were standing and talking while we stood at the bar Waiting and Waiting for someone to finally take our order- UGH!One walked by us several times outside and never even acknowledged our presence! So if you want to show off a beautiful winery in Ohio, you could come here.. if you want to show-off the friendly good service in Ohio, you better skip this place. It has probably the best wine in the area and the chicken chipotle flatbread and turkey sandwich were delicious. Their bourbon Chardonnay was excellent, drier, not too sweet and the Double Winged IPA was great. Highly recommend. For some reason, food establishments seem to think gluten free is some sort of "fad". Well, Cask 307, it sure the fuck isn't. Get your shit in one sock. You lost a customer. Never again. Not a "hello" or a "welcome in" any kind of polite manner. Traveled all the way from Las Vegas to spend time with family, and to be dismissed in such a rude way was disappointing to say the least. Was able to "beg them" into a small tasting, even as we saw at least 2 couples at the bar with clearly two full glasses of wine. We drank the tiny cup of wine and walked out. We went to Cask 307 for our first time last weekend and WOW we loved it! We loved that it almost had a sports bar vibe to it yet still the beauty of a Geneva winery. When we arrived we checked out their wine and beer menu (yes, they have beer!) they said they were out of the Burbon Chardonnay but we were able to get two glasses from what they had on tap (yes, wine on tap!) and WOWWW! That was hands down the best, unique tasting Chardonnay and I wish I was able to take home a bottle of it! Maybe next time we are there we will be able to! Overall we had a great time! read more

After spending the morning in Thompson OH, took a short drive to check out a new Winery on St Rt 307, Cask 307. (Get it!!) Only been opened for 7 weeks, this Debonné "lil brother" is, simply put, spectacular! First the building itself is a gem in layout, decor, and views! A fantastic wrap around patio, gives patrons a view of area, and will offer great sunset views. As a new Debevec venture, special wines from Debonné are served in this location. Also, craft beers from Double Wing Brewery are served here only. Try the Cream Ale, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon on the patio. Wine on tap, yes on tap, offer choices here that fit the outdoor atmosphere! The blush was crisp and refreshing. Although we four just stopped to check it out, we enjoyed a two hour rest, refresh, and conversation setting that will require many more trips. Hats off to the Debevecs for a fabulous new addition to the Grand River Winery collections. Worthy of the 5 I gave it and would be higher, but Yelp only offers 5! Note: Since it is 7 weeks young, the hours are limited but hopefully will be adjusted to demand that will sure to come. read more

We made a stop here while on the ice wine trail. They hosted guests in the basement of the winery which was fine as they were running business as usual upstairs. This was not one of my favorite pairings on the trail. It was a chunk of parmesan cheese with a walnut and drizzle of honey. The wine was ok but again, I have had better. Afterwards, we headed upstairs where they had a really nice bar and eating area. The wine that was for sale was displayed nicely on the wall and clearly labeled with prices - and wow was this place expensive! However I did like that they were selling hand crafted items, I am guessing local artists work. They were also pricey but that drew me in more than the wine itself! GOTL is one of our favorite places to visit; we make the 5 1/2 hour drive as often as possible. Of course one of the huge attractions to this area is the wine trail. I mean, Duh. Cask popped up since our last trip so we were excited to add to our list. Cask is #97 for us for unique winery visits. It's beautiful. No doubt about that. I can't begin to imagine what they paid for the outside chairs alone. Such high quality. They clearly went all out to impress. They set the scene, don't they? Beautiful, high quality chairs facing the grape vines. As I said this is #97 for us so we've visited all kinds. Wineries go in many different directions......some like to go simple and showcase the hard work they put in; others like to create an experience while shipping in buckets of juice. Hey, you do you, wineries. Both ideas work. Before I give stars I always converse with my better half. He said 4. I thought 4 but considered 3. Look, at the end of the day, for me, I'm at a winery for the wine. That's what I'm judging. There was nothing, as far as wine, that stood out from the rest of the locals, other than the price. Cask 307 is charging more for the experience. Cool. Like I said, 'you do you.' But just ask yourself if you're hitting the wineries for the experience or the wine? Both answers are correct.
