Went to Debonne around 1pm on a Monday. It was fairly empty so we had no problem getting waited on right away. There are several flights you can order for samples. I dove right in with a full glass of their white sparkling. I also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and summer berry salad. Both were delicious. They have a microbrewery on site. You had to order from the main bar even though the microbrewery was in another room. Interesting process. After we ate and drank, we walked around outside to check out the views. It was perfect weather, everything was beautiful. There is so much space outside! I wasn't a huge fan of my drink here but the food was good so I would visit again for eating. read more

Pretty setting. We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. Honestly they were over their head as far as how busy they were. We ordered an appetizer ((Buffalo dip) and waited more than. 40 minutes for it to be ready. The dip was just OK. I was told there was water available, however the water holder was out of water. This is one of the best spots around! We go to dinner at Debonne every Labor Day weekend when we come to the area to camp so when our vacation led us close by, we had to stop in. The outside seating is perfect (albeit sunny in some seats even with the umbrellas) and comfortable. There are lots of choices - high tops, picnic tables, round tables, and even a gazebo if you have a large group. Bring cash with you. They only accept cards for higher transactions inside and some of the outdoor stuff is cash only. There are 2 bocce courts that you can use. The sets are kept inside and you just need to leave your ID/credit card there until you return the set. The ambiance is great. Most evenings have live music (check their website). Everyone is relaxed and having fun. Food-wise, there's free popcorn. This visit, we ordered Buffalo chicken dip and Soft pretzel bites. Both were yummy. I had the sweet Riesling (perfect for a hot day) and my husband had the Blueberry kolsch. It's his absolute favorite! Our kids just had the self-serve water from the cooler that is right inside the door. We'll be back on the Thursday before Labor Day! read more

This is one of our top things to do during the summer. Best casual, chill winery around. Great stage that always plays great music. Best part, this place is perfect to bring kids to. Front seating area is more formal, people enjoying a date. The lawn area has plenty of tables and umbrellas, which you can combine. Were always in the back to allow the kids to run around, play catch, etc. Have brought our lawn chairs, and wagon for kids to occupy themselves as well. Can still hear the music. Staff is awesome and accommodating. Double Wing Brewery is delicious and an awesome substitute for those who do not drink wine like me. Food is great, priced okay. Very few big hat suburbia girls taking annoying 'gram' photos. Overall, we love this place. Were able to enjoy a drink or 2 with friends, relax, allow the kids to spend time playing together and just decompress. Highly recommend. read more

We had a good time at Debonne! It was very crowded and hard to find a seat (we had to wait on the edge of the wall for a while until a spot opened up). You can tell this is a fan favorite by the amount of people there on a Saturday evening! They had live music playing and there was an outside bar as well as a few inside. Be prepared to have cash on you if you want the convenience to purchase at the outside bar! I had to go inside and walk around a bit until I found the right spot for the tasting. Overall, I was unimpressed by the tasting flight, it feels a little steep for $12 and the chocolates and snacks weren't as impressive as I thought they would be. I realized after my recent visit to Debonne that I had never reviewed them after the many times I've gone! I had a rough time figuring out how to rate this spot because what they do well, they do VERY WELL, but what they miss the mark on, it's usually not even close. Let me start off by saying that, as a winery, the thing I judge them on the most, is the wine. That's what bumped this from 3 stars to 4. My all time favorite wine comes from Debonne, so that gets them a lot of points. I should also say that the grounds are gorgeous. We visited when it was decorated for Christmas, and loved the festive vibes. This is also a favorite spot during warmer months because they often have events outside, and it's a great time to hang out and enjoy everything they have to offer. I've only ever encountered very friendly people here, so I have no complaints about the service whatsoever. With all that said, what keeps this from being a 5 star restaurant is the food. I will have to let you decide how much weight you give the food at a winery, who does double as a full service restaurant. If you're content with charcuterie or perhaps even a soft pretzel, you'll be happy with what you order here. Nothing special, but it's good and it gets the job done. The burgers are also pretty standard issue burgers, nothing that will knock your socks off, but also not much to complain about. However, if you choose to veer from the basics, you're heading into risky territory in my opinion. On this day, we took advantage of their special holiday menu, and I got the chicken skewers. It seemed like a pretty simple concept that would be hard to screw up, but it was the worst dish I've had from any of the many, many wineries in the area. The chicken had a strange texture that was already very off-putting. It also lacked any sort of flavor. It was billed as a garlic Parmesan, but it was just dripping in melted butter. We could smell garlic as they were cooking, which made me excited to get my dish, but the garlic must have gone missing before the plating. I did find one single shred of Parmesan, but there was no flavor or seasoning on the chicken at all besides just butter. No dipping sauce, no rubs, nothing. Just grilled chicken thigh dredged in butter. I ate only a small amount before my stomach started telling me to stop, so that's one dish I would not order again. The last couple visits, the food has been on the disappointing side. I will definitely go back to enjoy more wine, and some beer from their in-house brewery, but will plan to eat at a different winery. All in all, I do recommend this winery, just heed my caution when it comes to the food menu. Keep it simple and you'll be ok! read more

Came to this winery for my sisters 25th birthday. We brought all of her friends and family. There was a ton of seating both inside and outside. We were able to order food and drinks at the bar inside or at a tent outside and bring it to our table. There was a somewhat limited menu outside though. The venue had a dance floor right in front of the band. My family had a great time dancing, and the band even gave my sister a birthday shoutout. Great time! read more

My parents took us here on our winery weekend, and this had to be one of my favorites! There is a separate room for flights, so that was our first stop. Everything had an aviation theme, including the flights, which I found to be pretty cool! Flights were $15 a piece, and you were able to pick from about six different ones. I chose the dry white flight, and I ended up enjoying all of the wines! The flights were accompanied by a pack of goldfish, two dark chocolate Hersey Kisses, and a miniature bottle of water. I love the thought that was put into these flights! My favorite white was the Unoaked Chardonnay, and I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered how cheap their take home bottles were. Most of the seating is outdoors, and dogs are welcome, which of course scored bonus points in my book. They had a grill running and an amphitheater, but there wasn't music when we were there. I would love the visit Debonne again in the future! read more

We came through this past weekend during the ice wine "festival" and did the festival tasting as well as an inside tasting. It could hardly be called a festival, but the ice wine was good and the jambalaya was delicious! My husband was interested in the bottle of ice wine for purchase but we decided $45 was pretty steep for the tiny bottle. They had a major power outage that had occurred, resulting in their wifi being down, which resulted in our group being stranded and unable to get an uber/lyft to leave, due to lack of cell signal there and no access to the guest wifi. All the staff was incredibly flustered by the power outage and only accepting cash - and the server inside was nice but clearly overwhelmed. I ordered a Riesling flight, and was disappointed to find the chocolate and crackers as part of the $15 flight was a small bag of goldfish and 2 hershey kisses. The flight was super overpriced and the crackers barely qualify. I did not find any of their sweet wines appealing, I am a riesling fan, and didnt want to own any of the ones in the flight, but to each their own! Staff was unable to give us access to the regular wifi to unstrand us and gave us the number for a taxi company that wanted $40 to take us 1 mile. Nope. We ended up walking to a Hampton Inn bus outside waiting on their group to finish their tastings and convinced their amazing driver to take us up the road. God Bless Sharon! They had an outside patio with potential to be great - they had minimal heaters turned on for a chilly day and all the chairs were filthy. I would think if you were going to have a "festival" that the outside space would be clean and comfortable and this was not the case. Skip this one - hit up M Cellars just up the road for kind, knowledgeable staff, far superior wine, a cleaner venue with comfy seats. read more

Wine is good but a bottle is almost 3x what you pay at the grocery store, but I guess that's normal. My beef is the $14 cheese/meat plate. They give it to you in large chunks, not cut up. On a paper plate. With a dull steak knife to cut it. After I was sawing away for nearly 10 minutes it got to be a joke at our table, especially since I practically got a blister on my finger from all the sawing! The summer sausage had the same taste & texture of the brand from Aldi, assorted cheese was ok. Seriously people, slice up the cheese and meat for people, esp for that price! Come one, come all to the Debonné County Fair! This place was bustling on a Saturday afternoon. Not so crowded that you couldn't get a bottle of wine, but the lawn and gardens were packed with tables and chairs. A band was playing, and I assume based on the "No dancing permitted" signs that people might have been dancing in less socially distanced times. Kind of felt like I was at a graduation party. If outside, you order your wine from a walk-up booth. I was on the rosé train at that point so I asked which was the driest and the bartender pointed to one on the list (lol). We got it and it was fine. They also serve craft beer here, which is a nice option to have if you need a break from wine. They also have a "Debonné Grill" booth set up outside serving various items. We got pretzels and the mustard was surprisingly delicious, for what it's worth. read more

This weekend was so beautiful we headed to the lake country and over to this winery. The winery was packed, and hardly a parking spot was available. Trying to get food was a trip. The best place to acquire food and wine was just as you stepped inside. Once outside or over by the grill where they are busy, you'll have a long wait in the heat. Their band was decent. I think it was two elderly guys, but they knew how to crank out a decent sound, and the surrounding crowd seemed a bit rough. For speed, we just ordered two of their charcuteries, and they were tasty but nothing special. I would order the Raspberry Fontina Cheese again. Their bread is just so, so. The charcuterie could have been much more fabulous with Rosemary Bread or something tastier. I did like my wine. I had their Raspberry Wine. If you like your wine sweet rather than a drier European wine--go for their sweet wines. I brought a bottle home. So, all in all, it was nice to get out; the music and wine were good. Arrived at 7:30 to this vineyard and the first words that were said to us were "you do know we close at 8 right?" - very unwelcoming winery! They started shutting everything down at 7:40 and at 8 on the dot turned the lights off on us - leaving us sitting in the dark. Closing at 8 should mean that's when you stop serving not when all the staff goes home. Even if the staff was welcoming - the wine wasn't good. This was our first time ever going to this winery and we were trying to decide which bottle to purchase. We had narrowed it to a couple and I asked if we could taste one before buying a bottle - was told it would be $1.50. I had just come from another winery where we were given 3 tasters (without asking) as we were trying to decide on a bottle - this is how it should be! Guess I should have paid $1.50 because I would have instantly known I didn't like that wine! From the little bit we could tell - the outside atmosphere was inviting but that's all this winery has going for it - there's many others nearby to choose from that you'd be better off going to! read more

This winery is beautiful and the wines are actually really good. They have a tasting area and the option to just buy by the glass. We did both, and also got a cheese tray and it was all great. We also did some beer tastings they had available and the gentleman who helped us was really awesome! The downsides, the ladies that helped at the main bar inside were really not nice, they close at 8pm, and getting an Uber out to this place is VERY hard.
