Unfortunately, after an initial good experience, I now have to update my review a 1 star review. I have American Home Shield home warranty for my newly purchased home. My warranty offered a complimentary re-key service for my new home, and I thought "sure why not, it's free," and this was provided by Realty Rekey/Dan's Pro-Lock. I had the complimentary service performed on 3/4/2023, and all was fine. Two weeks later, my lock jammed. Mind you prior to having my home re-keyed, my lock was working perfectly fine. So mistake #1: Instead of asking American Home Shield to get someone to come back out and fix my faulty lock, I reach out directly to Realty Rekey/Dan's Pro-Lock. They tell me they can't get anyone to come fix my lock for about two weeks. They DON'T say this will cost a dime. I figured this would be free, since I assume any respectable company would cover this type of issue under a warranty-type of deal. So the new locksmith comes and fixes the jammed lock 3/30. He doesn't change the lock, he just says something about "the weather" causing issues with the lock, and somehow un-jams it, and leaves. Fine, we're all happy that finally the lock works again. Come April 4th, and I now get a bill for 45$ for this service, which I WAS NOT INFORMED IN ANY WAY PRIOR TO THE SERVICE that I would be charged. Had I been informed that there would be a fee, I would have reached out to American Home Shield, or I would have figured out another solution to this situation. I email the company at dispatch.realtyrekey@gmail.com but no reply. I call them, and the poor customer service guy sounds like he has no idea how to help me, even though he understands the situation; he is powerless, and unfortunately was just a waste of time venting to him since at the end of the conversation, the end result was "the charge will stand." So in summary: This "complimentary" service via my warranty service ended up costing me 45$, and now I'm just waiting for this lock that was installed to fail me again because of "weather issues." The issue for me isn't even about the 45$, it's that I feel I was cheated/conned by this company, and the only available customer service couldn't figure out how to help me. End of rant. read more

I had my door rekeyed and let me just say Daniel offered more than world class service! He was on time, had very neat appearance and very courteous. My G-ma doesn't understand much about smart locks, for her she thought getting a new set of keys without having the code changed was enough. When Daniel arrived she told him not to change the code the new keys alone was fine. I followed up with her and after realizing she was using the code from from the previous sellers, I gave Daniel a call and he assured to go back and take care of it for me. He went back to the home changed the code for my G-ma and also walked her through how to use the code to get in and out of the home in the event she didn't want to use the key. He is the epitome of world class customer service and putting the needs of the customer first. If I ever have to change another lock or have issues with my lock I will definitely request Daniel! My technician (Stephen) was fantastic! He contacted me several days before my appointment to confirm the work and the door/lock types. I sent him some photos so he could come equipped with the proper tools and supplies. He stayed in touch with me and arrived on time. His appearance was professional and he was extremely polite. We conducted a quick tour of the property and discussed each lock. He completed the whole home rekey way faster than I expected, and then he offered me key and color options tailored to my liking. We tested each lock together and on his way out, at the front door, he tested it and HE was not happy with how smooth the action was, so he worked on it a little more to make it smoother (even though the key did actually work). I really appreciated that level of attention to detail to his craft and commitment to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again in the future. When Andy, my technician, arrived. I let him know that my new house had a key lock in the one door that I didn't like. It was in a special finish that matched all the other locks in the house. He told me the solution for that and raced out to find a replacement lock that would work and make me happy. He was able to do all this while meeting my scheduling needs as well as his own. Andy, then quickly replaced the locks and provided me the extra keys. I needed. During this, he was friendly and explained everything he was doing in a way I could understand. In addition, he explained the electronic key code on my front door and how I could use it as well. I was very pleased with our service! We had a free re-key of our new house under our home warranty plan. However, because of the types of locks and lack of keys, rep could have added more charges. When I told him I didn't want to really spend more than a minimal amount, he thought about the least expensive way we could accomplish what we were wanting to do, and even explained how we could do it on our own if we decide to replace our locks. He even tried to reprogram the code to our garage (which prior owners didn't use), but because our system wasn't connecting with the box, couldn't do it. Despite spending extra time on this out in the extreme heat, there was no charge for this. Will definitely call Dan's Pro-Lock for any future needs! read more

I requested a Re-Key service through my home warranty and was assigned to Dan's Pro-lock. Kyle was the locksmith and his service was decent. There were multiple unexpected expenses, which was disappointing even after paying $100 through the warranty provider. The locks were functional prior to the re-key, so this was surprising to hear. However, Kyle was a professional and explained the issues with the locks and tried to fix things without charging me for entirely new parts. One improvement I would recommend is making the prices of additional latches or lock bodies more transparent and readily available. I would also provide a receipt of transition immediately following the service - I never received a receipt. read more

The technician messaged me he had completed the previous job early and asked if I wanted him to come earlier. The technician was knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and through. My request for work was reviewed, my options and additional work I could have done was discussed and all work was completed efficiently, professionally. I had Brian visit us to re-key our home via First American Home Warranty service. He was super friendly, professional and punctual. He is also very knowledgeable and explained all that is needed. He kept a clean working environment and it was done very well. Just be clear on any additional work needed and pricing. I was caught off-guard by how much additional work was going to cost. The pricing for lock replacement was fair, but I'm pretty handy myself and could have done some of the work much cheaper but will cost me time and the keys would be different. What a great experience. Punctual, helpful, and quick. I had bought a new house and every door had a different key - some of them a different key for the deadbolt and handle. Turned out they were also multiple manufacturers. So at first I was like - just clean it up. But the company really helped me by thinking through how to make it work. We ended up on Schlage on all the main house locks and Kwikset on all the ADU locks. Perfect solution on the fly considering I had no idea it was so complex. Ended up being the best solution for a reasonable price - as opposed to just buying 15 new locks. Overall great. read more

American Home Shield continues to refer this company to hard working Americans some of which fought and bleed for this country. We're a 4 generational Military family. We ordered the rekey package with our home warranty. Lisa contacted us to schedule our appointment. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We asked about replacing the front door lock and needed a quote. Little did I know there were so many options. We scheduled our appointment and when Lisa came out she did a fantastic job. She was polite and good. She helped us pick out our lock to replace on the front door. She ordered it for us and came back out the next week to install it. Best service we have had in a long time. We highly recommend Dan's Pro-Lock and we will be calling Lisa in the future. read more

When the two gentlemen came to my door they introduced themselves professionally and I showed them each lock that needed to be rekeyed. They gave me a quote upfront and I thought it was reasonable. With seven locks to rekey and one to repair, I was surprised they got it done in half an hour. They took a check, and I received a follow up text and phone call from the organization that referred them. overall I was satisfied with their conduct and their efficiency. The only part I would ask for would be an invoice, receipt, or paperwork statement of service and paid statement for filing. read more

Highly recommend! Service request - replacing a broken door knob - was quickly and skillfully done, and Andy, the technician, was awesome, v courteous, professional, and responsive. Andy called me soon after I requested an appointment, and we were quickly able to schedule a time. He showed up on time to the appointment and let me know when he was heading over. I was matched with Dan's Pro-Lock through my warranty company (American Home Shield). The technician (Andy) called within a few hours to schedule an appointment. On the morning of my appointment, he called to let me know he had a cancellation and could come even earlier. Unfortunately, I wasn't available but I appreciated the call. Andy was on time (early) and very quick to complete the job. Plus, he wore a mask the entire time, which I very much appreciated.
