Dan's team arrived early and got straight to work. There were no issues during the few hours they were here. They handled almost 80 linear feet of demo and installation like true professionals, keeping the area clean the entire time. I really appreciate their hard work and great communication from the initial quote with Dan to the job day with Nick and his crew. I'd absolutely recommend Dan's Construction. Fast, friendly, got job done in one day. quality work. Great value. Will hire again and pass on name to friends for their fencing needs.

I have used Dan's Construction on multiple fence jobs over the years, and it is the only company I will use. The crew is excellent. They show up on time and ready to work, review the plan with the home owner, and clean up their job site once the work is done. If they encounter any challenges during the project, they navigate those and see the job through until it's complete. I highly recommend hiring Dan's Construction for any fence project. Dan is also very responsive to texts and emails. I always appreciate the fact that he schedules estimates quickly and ensures that your job is scheduled quickly as well. They do great work and take pride in their work. This is the only fence company you need to call. They are the best and their prices are fair, too. Great company. I needed the fence replaced between me and my neighbor, about 82 feet. It was extremely old and had broken boards. I also had a janky gate, so I needed that replaced as well. Dan came out quickly to do an estimate, gave me an excellent price, and scheduled the job for the following week. Dan's crew was prompt, super professional, knowledgeable, and hard-working. Leon, the lead on the job, was so nice and very communicative, explaining everything before they started and providing a thorough walkthrough when the job was done. They showed up on time, did an amazing job, and cleaned up everything before they left. I absolutely recommend Dan's Construction! I love the new fence and gate. They're beautiful! read more

Dan's has a great team and got straight to work. They were also very respectful! They were able to finish our back fence by midday. But this is also bc we asked to reuse our existing steel posts. I think if we asked to have those replaced it would've taken the whole day or into the next. The quality is great. They use real redwood. And the value is outstanding. We definitely got a fair price! I will refer them to anyone in need of fence work and I would use them again myself if my other sides start going out. Thanks Dan and team! read more

Our fence had blown down in the last storm and we decided to replace approximately 65 feet of fencing. My friend had recommended Dan's and so I called them up. Dan's Construction responded right away, and we had an estimate the same day. This was a neighbor fence, so we had to work with them on our decision to replace the fence. The estimate was fair, and we scheduled an appointment. Two weeks later, a whole crew arrived, and they were done in under four hours which totally impressed me. The fence looks great and is covered under a warranty for the next year. We were impressed with Dan's Construction and felt like it was a great value for the money that we paid. We would definitely use them again for another project. read more

I was highly impressed from our experience with Dan's Construction. From beginning until end, the process was seamless. He responded to my Yelp inquiry in minutes and he came the following day for the estimate. We inquired with 5 different companies in the area, and Dan's Construction had the most affordable quote AND the fastest turnaround time. The booking process was easy. He sent all of our quotes separately for each side of the fence so that we could use them to give to each neighbor separately. No deposit was needed either, and we were able to pay in full at the end of the job completion with cash, check, or credit card (3% charge). They were booked out for a whole month, probably due to everybody's quarantine projects, so I did have a few questions while we waited for our project day to come. Dan answered my emails within minutes each time! Fast forward to today, Dan and his team arrived right around 7:30 am as planned. There were a ton of people! No wonder they finished by 3pm! They did a great job, and cleaned everything up and hauled all of the old wood out after. Whenever they had questions, they would ask us each time to make sure we agreed. We are really pleased with the end result and I've already recommended them to a few of our friends. Thanks Dan & crew! read more

10 out of 10 if I could! This is the second time we used Dan's. First time ten years ago on one side of the property - the fence is still up, in fantastic shape and well built. So when our neighbor and I went in on the other side of our property, we did call Dan. He was responsive, came put to walk the property, and had an estimate. Because the neighbors are next door in a rental, I had to get three quotes for the Good Neighbor Fence Act of 2013 to legally present and decide who to hire. I was hoping the estimate would be reasonible and it was. Materials are way more costly now than even a few yrs back, i get it. But Dan was the price we budgeted for, so right on! Dan was the best price, but he was also the most on top of it with follow-up and so forth. The other two companies did not even follow up on the appt to see it we were ready to go sign the contract or if we had further questions. The day of the appt, Leon, the PM, knocked on our door around 8am and introduced himself. He's such a nice guy! The crew was large, about 6 or 7 guys. In a day, they replaced and rebuilt the fence. The upmost care for our property and Leon was in communication throughout the day. Thank you, Dan's. Awesome job! read more

Got a quote on a 50' fence , 6' on center metal posts, with a 7' high fence for added privacy. Communication was clear, Daniil gave me individual pricing for different options I was considering very promptly. The pricing was better than expected, considering my add ons. I scheduled the work to start four days out. The work crew started when scheduled and was a nice group of men, who worked consistently until the job was done 6 hours later. The final product totally exceeded my expectations and the workmanship was given resounding approval by friends in construction. I will use them again and recommend them wholeheartedly. read more

We just had our fence built by Dan and his crew. Dan is really straight forward and detailed with his quotes. There were no surprises and he answered all of our questions. It's easiest to contact him via email. And he will typically reply back at the end of the day. They had a crew of 5 to 9 guys. Our neighbors loved the fence and did theirs as well. Dan not only had the best price but we were also very happy with the work the guys did. One thing to note, it's standard to leave the concrete in the ground and not take them out. If you plan on taking it out, it will definitely cost more in labor. We did not run into any issues one reviewer had mentioned with the quality of wood. The guys purchase pallets of wood and they sort through them. They may have knots in them and vary in color. We do not plan on sealing or staining our premium redwood fence boards. All of them will oxidize to a gray color over time. The boards are also easy to replace. Nik assured us if there were any issues, he can come back to help us fix it. Overall, the guys are honest and hardworking. read more

I had a great experience with them building a fence for me and they were so efficient!!! Thank you!!

I needed a fence along the west facing property line of my house. There was an existing metal fence which was on the neighbors property but didn't provide any privacy and the previously planted a vegetation had died back. This was a challenging a situation because there was a berm near a Koi pond where the grade sloped up and so this had to be navigated for the fence. I called several other contractors and Daniil got back to me right away and was out there the next day to survey the property and then was able to text me back with a quote. Two days later the work was completed. I was impressed with the quality of the workmanship. They used a steel posts set in concrete which is much more durable than wood posts, this is an option that I'm glad that I went with. Dan's Construction was able to deal with the situation at hand without demanding that for example that everything was completely cleared away on two sides of the fence. In this case the filter from the koi pond was butting right up against the fence and they were able to trim the fence a little bit to accommodate this I'll definitely call Dan's construction the next time I need fence work done. read more

I took away a star because response to phone calls and text was non-existent. The voicemail message on the phone said text was the fastest way to get a response but I never got a text back. Six (6) days later still no response from Dan so I followed up with an email which yielded results. Another reason for the star removal was because one of my flower bush was stomped on during their service. Aside from lack of communication and one injured flower bush, overall I was pleased with their service. It's a small local family/friend business. They worked very fast and everything was done within 5 hours (730am-1230pm). Removal of fence, installation of steel post and new fence, and hauling away the old fence. Dan provides 5% discount for payment in cash money only. Checks will not get you a discount. He also accepts credit cards. Their prices are very competitive. I was told by one of the younger worker that the fence had a one year warranty. This is my first fence project so I will update approximately 6 months to a year. read more

I needed to get an estimate for the replacement of 40 l.f. of fencing which I share with my neighbor. Dan responded to my inquiry within minutes and set up an appointment for an estimate the very next day. He was on time, friendly, thorough and quick. He emailed his estimate to me later that evening. After getting another quote elsewhere, it was clear that Dan's Construction was my first choice for the job. His prompt response, beautiful portfolio and competitive pricing sealed the deal. I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to schedule the work to be done less than a week later. On construction day, Dan and his team arrived just before 4 pm. One of his workers, Alexander, was very thorough in reviewing the details, materials and cost of the project before beginning. Considering the amount of work, I didn't think they'd be able to finish in one day but Alexander assured me the could have it completed in about 4 hours. To my amazement, he was right! They were careful to ask questions about my preferences when any issues arose, such as if it was ok to trim a plant for better access, how I'd like the rails to face, etc. They were extremely focused on my satisfaction and didn't take any liberties or shortcuts that might disappoint me. When they were finished, they meticulously cleaned all areas... making it look even better than when they arrived! It was getting dark but I could tell I was going to be pleased with the results. Sure enough, the next day I went outside to admire my new fence and I was thrilled with the work! I highly recommend Dan's Construction for any fencing project. I am certain that their work on decks, pergolas, etc. would be equally excellent. Their promptness, friendliness, professionalism, great communication, quality work, efficiency and competitive pricing exceeded my expectations! read more

I requested a quote for a fence replacement between my yard and my neighbor's. Dan's construction was one of four quotes we received. We selected Daniil because he was the most prompt and professional and local here in Elk Grove. He was able to give us a more timely work schedule. We wouldn't have to wait 4 to 6 weeks or more to complete the job. Daniil and his crew arrived on time, they were very courteous and respectful of my property. I couldn't believe they completed the entire job in just half a day. It looks absolutely amazing. I couldn't be more pleased. The cost of the fence was very reasonable. He did 144' of 6' picket fence for me, 5 wooden gates of varying sizes and styles, and 40' of 6' chain link fence with a gate for just under $7,000 total. He was the most responsive, the easiest to work with in terms of splitting the costs with neighbors, and the quality of their work was superb. They had 2 crews and finishes this work in one day going from 8 am to 7 pm. Also, he's the first contractor I've ever had where his entire crew showed up 15 minutes before the start time. I was surprised, but also impressed. I'm honestly bummed they don't do more than patio coverings and fences. I'd easily hire them for other jobs. read more

Used Dan's Construction to replace an 86 foot section of redwood fence...they did a beautiful job. Daniil responded via text very quickly. I found him to be a bit terse and almost didn't go with them, but glad I did. His foreman Leon is excellent...very communicative and knowledgeable and the workers are all very skilled. Dan came out quickly to give me an estimate to replace my fence. The price was fair (the same or less then the other bids I received) and the estimate process easy. My wife and I do NOT recommend Dan's construction. Dan was unpleasant, unresponsive and unprofessional. Dan offered to provide an estimate. Yet, we never received an estimate, nor did we hear back from Dan after he visited our home. During his visit, Dan took measurements and reassured the same day that he would email the estimate, but that never happened. We waited and followed up with him. But no matter whether it was via call, online via Yelp, texts etc...No response. My wife and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. We shared with Dan that we appreciated him taking the time to come out to our home. We understand if he needs more time, or if he was unable to do the job at the time. Dan was informed that we were in the process of considering bids. We wanted to know when we could anticipate receiving the estimate he offered to complete, or any updates at that point. We even informed Dan that we were fine with receiving a general ballpark figure of costs since Dan took the time to measure our backyard. We simply requested that if he can't do any of this, please just let us know either way...still No response from Dan. We ended up going with another contractor who was more professional, transparent and efficient. This contractor kept their word and provided us with an affordable estimate within a few days. If you value trust, respect, professionalism, open communication, your time, and your invaluable home, like we do, we recommend going with another contractor, like we did. read more

Quality fence construction for a good price. Crews were quick and cleaned up as the they went. Will use this company again.

I was referred to Dan's Construction by a friend, I contacted a few other companies to compare the quotes that I received. The interesting thing that I keep hearing from several of the local fence contractors was that Dan's Construction is a great company and that their quality was top-notch, and they are always below what other providers charge. This made my decision pretty easy; he did do my neighbor's fence, so I knew the quality was excellent. My experience was awesome. My original expectation was maybe a crew of 2-3 people, and that it would take a couple of days, I have a pretty long fence 158 feet. When they showed up, there must have been a crew of 10-15 people, super organized; each person had a specific role, so they didn't get in each other's way. They finished it all in one day; the quality again is top-notch. I highly recommend these guys. read more

Dan was able to schedule the job within a week of contact (150+ ft), They arrived on time (early), brought a crew of 6 and finished on time and did an excellent job. Leaving the jobsite reasonably clean. Dan's crew was efficient and professional using commercial grade equipment. We had waited a while to replace a large fence because of the lumber prices. But when we finally were ready, our original company was still quoting us a ridiculously high bid and booked out for a long time. So we reached out to Daniil and his quote was super reasonable and able to start pretty quickly. I expected having to keep the pets in for a good day or more while the work was being done, but they were so fast and done in about a half a day. Not only that, but they trimmed, cleared and hauled some of my overgrown plants etc. near the fence and I swear my yard looked better than it ever had by the time they left! I do NOT recommend this company attt all I have been trying to get ahold of someone to fix a few issues after the installation and they will not pick up the phone will not respond to text, email, nothing. Originally when I started off with getting a estimate from them it was a hassle and during the fence install i reminded them that I needed one section a little higher but they wanted to up charge me even though I had discussed it during the original quote. Also I had to contact them to confirm my appointment. But regarding the fence installation they did do a quick job but not a good job. We had issues with parts of the wood from our fence completely falling off, our fence gate sagging, to 3 corners that separated after only 3 months and now I'm having issues with a sagging fence because the insulation wasn't don't properly or maybe do to lack of quality of wood. I really hope anyone that reads my review stays away from this company. Not worth the headache or time and definitely not your money. read more
