An older gentleman who worked there, who could have been the owner, was extremely annoying and spilled hot coffee on me as he attempted to jokingly carry the pot over my head while his hand was shaking. He also smacked my phone while it was in my hand and continued to harrass me and several other customers that he targeted.That was the first time I had been there, I didnt know the guy, and I was not trying to interact or play along with act. Not sure what his deal was, but he is the sole reason why I will not be going back there because the food and the rest of the staff were great. Which is why I give 2 stars instead of 1. Classic burger, sandwich, salad and breakfast diner fare...not your greek diner....not your meatloaf and smothered chicken diner. Theme is sports. Have probably 20 different burgers named for classic sports figures. Can't wait to go back and try some. If you see good reviews it was probably the owner. This was the worst diner I have ever been. It is dirty and Everything is served on Styrofoam and plastic forks. The cheese omelet was scrambled eggs with partially melted shredded cheese on top. The home fries were so brown and hard. You can tell just by looking at them they were way overcooked. There was a very loud dj outside but nobody was outside and it was Easter at 11am. Made no sense. Do not go here. Should have taken a pic of food but just wanted to get out. read more

Great place if you're an old, white republican. There's a rant printed on the menu about Obama, Pelosi, Clinton, and Sanders. At the register, there's a candle with a pic of Trump where I assume Jesus' face would be. The food was not cooked per our request. Asked for corned beef hash to be burnt to a crisp, it was wet mush. I am leaving this restaurant 1 star. I have been ordering with door dash due to covid shutdowns. Many restaurants have not included silverware, sauces and Napkins which I would assume to be common sense. I ordered here for breakfast and called VERY nicely to make sure they include everything especially syrup for the kids pancakes. The mans tone changed on me and said "Ma'am we always include those items with all or ordered in a rude tone and HUNG UP ON ME" Im sad that I spent a dime here to be spoken to this way. Let me start off by saying this is a great place for military to grab a meal. OK now with that said, let me get into the business. My buddy brought me too this place one day after work. I saw if from the outside and thought, great another shopping mall restaurant. It looks like a normal start up diner with low to medium potential. Once I walked threw the door I knew I was wrong. This place epitomizes the 50's style diner perfectly. Everything about this place screams down home diner. From the style of tables and booths to the sports memorabilia on the walls. From the wrap around bar style seating to the giant chalk board telling you about today's specials with small funny comments peppered in. The second you walk in, you're greeted by a load booming gentlemen that tells you to take a seat anywhere you would like (if your in uniform and enlisted you are automatically Sargent Major). The initial bewilderment of this greeting is replaced by the dialog that this man (the colonel) engages you in. He makes a point to have a conversation and get to know everyone that walks through the door. Once you sit down and look at the table-mat style menu you notice that all of the dishes have their own name (all old/current baseball players, keeping up with the decor on the walls). The food here is basically if you took the menus from every diner from across the country and put it on one menu. I've noticed that usually when establishments attempt this it brings down the overall taste of the whole menu by spreading themselves to thin. Some how they deliver on every item. Keep in mind that the food is diner style, so when you get your burger it will have a bun like you would get at Costco. The thing to remember is that the burger itself compiled with the unique toppings of ingredients is what makes this place do great. From the Whitey Ford ( a burger with the cheese cooked on the inside) to something as crazy to The Pujouls (a burger with cheese it's cooked inside and outside the burger). This place isn't only just a burger joint, they also have good cheese steaks (even chicken) and this is the only place I know of that serves funnel cakes ( I about had a fawns heart attack when I saw and tried this). The service is good with the waitress on top of everything you need (if the colonel doesn't bring you your food himself). I guess if I had to sum this whole thing up I would say that this is the perfect place to get that home style diner charm, where you can get a great conversation and some good food. Especially if your in the military and enlisted. Honestly if you don't like the place and you think my review is over the top, Nick the Greek is two doors down, but do yourself a favor and give this place a try. read more

This diner was recommended to me by a family member so I decide to try it out with my wife. There was only one other customer in the place when we arrived but it was after 9 am on a Monday so I didn't mind. It was a local spot so "why not"? So the waiter/owner/host Col was very animated and friendly but the waitress his wife seemed a little irritated that we asked her to give us a few minutes to review the menu. Once she returned, she didn't seem too attentive. My wife ordered eggs which even after a very descriptive order, still came out overcooked. I received a recommendation to try out this restaurant, to potentially hire them to make 2,000 meals for the homeless at a special event later this year. Well, I like to secret shop to see how the workers or owner treat people before I hire someone, so I came in this morning disguised as a Door Dash delivery worker. The treatment that I received as soon as I walked in the door left me speechless. The gentlemen who "greeted me" who I heard say to another customer that his name was Dano, didn't say Hi, welcome in, or anything of the sort, or even assume I may be a customer. He immediately said in a very abrasive tone, "if you're delivery it'll be a minute ok!" Maybe he mistook me for someone else I thought, or possible was talking to someone else, so I walked closer to make sure I understood he was talking to me. Then he said, annoyingly, "Are you mobile or delivery? DoorDash?...literally ONE second passed if that, before I could even respond and he rolled his eyes, turned and walked away and said sarcastically "Oh neither oh ok." And left me standing there. I was appalled. As I walked out he said again sarcastically "ok go make some money and come back later." Rude and nasty for no other reason that I can gather but my appearance. Went here to satisfy my waffle craving after passing up Metro Diner due to a super long line as usual. Got a strawberry waffle and a side of corn beef hash. Hubby got chicken and waffles which he proclaimed it to be better than Metro Diner's :P They don't add their fruit on top of the waffle like I usually like, it's cooked in it. And the waffles are much smaller than usual waffles. Then again, I don't think they're Belgian waffles. They looked a little busy, but there were still open tables and a ton of counter seats open. As I walked in, nobody greeted me. In fact, I had to dodge the waitress as she almost ran into me. I took a seat at the counter, and sat and waited for over 10 minutes. No service. The two idiot waitresses walked past me several times and didn't even make eye contact.
