Iced tea with local ads on the cups!

Had the shrimp lunch special - which I recommend as Fernandina beach has an active shrimp fleet! So it will be fresh! Service was okay- we had to ask for utensils but the coffee was replenished without asking! It was clean and nicely decorated: police patches from around the world were proudly displayed - we added ours!

Great food, service and all around experience at this great diner. We both had omelettes which were huge. The sides were delicious and we left with happy tummies. Service was prompt with frequent coffee refills and check ins. Great value for the price.

When traveling to a new location, it's good to know where the locals eat for the best dining experience. This was the case the with The Beach Diner. There was a good crowd here for breakfast. The decor is bright blue, yellow, white. It's warm with pop culture beach themed art on the walls. Even though it was busy, our service was quick, pleasant and the food came out very quickly. The menu features many options from standard breakfast fare to healthy or upscale. I ordered the vegetable omelette. Very good. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. The peppers still held a bit of a bite. There was cheese inside and out and the salsa worked well as a topping. The hash browns were good as well as the toast. The coffee was very good. Bold and fresh as well. Very good breakfast stop if you're in Fernandina Beach.

Great food and service. Clean, busy place, with great breakfast and lunch options. My wife got the Mediterranean Salad and added a fistful of shrimp for just $3! The salad had a great collection of mixed greens, fresh cucumber, OK tomatoes, and a zingy dressing. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and tasty. I got the Turkey Rueben (sometimes referred to as a Rachel). It was also excellent, with flavorful turkey, tasty bread, and a nice combo of dressing and kraut. Our server checked in appropriately, and they use the table side card reader to make that process efficient. Great stop for breakfast, lunch, or brunch.

We frequented this place for breakfast while staying in Fernandina Beach. It was always hopping for breakfast, but getting seated at the busiest times took usually a max of 15 minutes for 4 of us. As breakfast goes most everything was good. The Chicken Fried Chicken was a bit "chewy". The home fries are killer as was the huevos rancheros special!!!

I ordered take out and I was definately surprised that my Reuben was not as expected. The meat was dry, I had asked for Rye bread (ended up with white bread) and really missed not having the sauce!! The bread was hard and very dry - I am going to try it again because I have heard great things about Beach Diner.

After experiencing the Sunrise service on Easter, we stopped in here for breakfast. They were super busy but kept up with the demand. Food was quite tasty.

This the go to Diner in Fernandina Beach. This visit I decided to step out of my comfort zone and ordered from the daily specials. I never go this far outta zone as I ordered the steak special but I was hungry and it sounded amazing. The steak had grilled onions and peppers, sides of mashed potato and green beans with a cornbread square. It was freakin amazing. I tad bit fatty, but Cleo was with me and she loved it also. We are always treated so warmly when we visit here and I can say I have never had a bad meal here. Just scrumptious

Great breakfast spot! This is really the only true breakfast diner vibe that I have come across in amelia island. Other places are too fancy when I just want the traditional breakfast. This place is perfect. Nothing outstanding or that unique but very solid breakfast food. I will definitely be back. They are great at getting people in and out fast too. Waitress could have been friendlier but we went went it was very busy.

The eggs, creamy, light, the prefect consistency. The sausage fantastic and the pancakes...elite. Fluffy, light, flavorful, delicious. We all shared in the sentiment of how great the food was and were really amazed at the excellent price point as well. The table next to us had a couple with their golden retriever puppy. Service was great, food was delicious and reasonably priced. I built my own omelette with chicken, spinach, and Swiss cheese with wheat toast. I upgraded my side to fruit. My husband ordered the 2-2-2 and said his pancakes were great. Our friend ordered the chicken salad plate, they make their chicken salad in house and she really liked it. I went inside for a quick bathroom stop before leaving and inside was really cute as well. Looking forward to returning soon!

Thanksgiving Day 2025 meal was made awesome with the help of Metro Diner! They advertised on…read moreFacebook for Holiday carryout meals and we wanted to try something different this year (it was Publix last year). Having read that Metro Diner specialized in the comfort meal American food area, I felt that would be the choice for a great Thanksgiving dinner - at least a lot of potential. This review basically focuses on the carryout process and dinner prep and eating. It was easy to sign up for the dinner of my choice. I chose the 4-person meal package. There were options for larger groups, or for single as well. You get to make some picks on certain items. I chose to have the classic turkey dinner that included stuffing, white mashed potatoes, and green beans. Mexican corn was attractive, but I don't live in San Diego anymore! LOL. Of course, when you're from Detroit, you better have some cranberry sauce too! The meal was basic and certainly I could have picked up other things in area grocery markets if I had chosen to. My time for pickup was 11 am Thanksgiving Day. I got there 10 minutes early and it was PACKED with people dining in when I got there. It was very impressive. ALL the servers were intensely on the move but for all the busyness, the employees, customers at the tables and those waiting seemed pretty happy for the most part. After a few minutes inside, I let them know my name and order and thought the wait would take a while due to the crowd size. It didn't! It was totally on time! Kudos to Metro Diner for expertly handling such an astoundingly heaving number of customers on this day! When you get the carryout Thanksgiving meal, it's prepped for you in aluminum containers. You receive instructions on how to cook them and how long with the package. We were eating after around an hour and a half after baking and it was pretty much what I was hoping for! They gave lots of turkey! I think they brined it up pretty well - it was delicious! The potatoes, stuffing and green beans were awesome as well. I would say the gravy was overly salty, but other than that, I look forward to doing this again sometime. I do plan to go back and get an inside the eatery experience after the Holiday Season. But for now, I have much gratitude to Metro Diner for giving us a GREAT Thanksgiving Day dinner for 2025! Recommend: VERY HIGH
