Authentic Cuban fare by a Cuban service team. 5 stars for the warm welcome, for the delicious hot food as well as coffee, and especially for the ambiance. It is a small establishment with both indoor and outdoor seating. Well decorated interior with boho vibes. I absolutely love empanadas; I ordered 3, one of chicken, beef and spinach. My son was excited about the Cuban sandwich. Both were served piping hot as expected. We were given free desert, which was incredibly delicious We tried the Cuban soda and coffee, my husband and I gave the service lady a thumbs up.

Love the coffee. Can't speak to the food. Staff friendly. Coffee STRONG! And sweet. Like the vibe. Old school ambiance. Nice outside area.

Wine special! And great lunch!

Hola is a wonderful find. They serve authentic cuban fare. We had the cuban sandwich, black bean soup and stuffed plantains. I highly recommend all of them. The server/cashier was very friendly and helpful as we purused the menu, and provided very helpful advice. They also had a wine special we couldn't pass up. Where can you buy a $20 bottle of white in a restaurant? It was a great paring for our lunch selections. I highly recommend this place for lunch.

This is a super cute spot. Some hits and some misses. The location and atmosphere is top notch. The inside is pretty tight when it gets busy though. Service was good. We got the lentil stew with chorizo, yuca fries, tostones, Cuban sandwich, and drinks. I really enjoyed the stew, the jupina pineapple drink, and the yuca fries were some of the best I've had. Their sauce kind of reminds me of a boom boom sauce. Sadly the tostones (my favorite treat ever) were overcooked (hard to chew) but the seasoning was on point and I enjoyed the dipping sauce. The Cuban sandwich was pretty plain but I realize there are different preferences on this sandwich, despite it being a classic. The traditional Cuban bread was good. Some of this I wouldn't order again (although it could have been an off day) but I'd definitely come back to try their morning options- pastelitos, croquetas, and Cuban coffee drinks.

Croqueta Preparada Sandwich

We stopped by here during our visit to Fernandina Beach and I got the Croqueta Preparada Sandwich. It had a generous portion of pulled pork and croquetas inside, and it was delicious! The coconut pastelito was also tasty, and the dough was fluffy and flaky-- you could tell it was all fresh. The staff is friendly too. I would recommend it!

You figure you're in Florida, even in the Northeast corner, might as well try a Cuban restaurant. This one is notable for being relatively vegetarian-friendly, with some clearly marked options (mostly with dairy). I sampled some sort of yerba mate soda which was an interesting flavor. Ordering black beans was a good decision; these were flavorful and came with bread. My sandwich was billed as a Cuban grilled cheese, and it was literally just cheese and plantains with the classic pressed bread. To be fair, it lived up to the name, but I think it could use some mojo or something to spice it up. It was filling. The corner shop offers a couple of outdoor seats as well as indoor seating. Their selection of pastelitos and empanadas appeared well worth pondering in addition to their made to order dishes.

Service when you walk is so refreshing. You greeted by a very polite and friendly young lady with a bubbly personality. Delivery of food was very reasonable given a busy Saturday lunch crowd Cuban sandwich was hearty with plenty of flavor and fresh ingredients. The Lentil soup had some unreal WOW factor flavors with fresh ingredients and plenty of Chorizo. This the Go To from now on for Cuban food, can't wait to try the Empanadas, they look great.

The midnight. Cuban sandwich but with a sweet bread.

Was pleasantly surprised by the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a great ambiance and a very welcoming atmosphere. We decided to drop by on a Saturday during lunch, and the place had a lively yet relaxed vibe that made us feel right at home. The decor was a perfect blend of traditional Cuban elements and modern touches, creating a cozy and inviting space. For my meal, I chose the midnight Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was a delightful combination of flaky goodness and sweet bread, which added a unique twist to the traditional Cuban sandwich. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the filling was flavorful and satisfying. The service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and more than willing to make recommendations. Despite being a busy lunch hour, our food arrived promptly and was served with a smile. I felt that it was a great value for the experience and food we received. I will be back again.

Cortadito

Very cute spot in Fernandina Beach! I learned about it since they were featured on the Top Places to Drink in Jacksonville list. My parents were visiting and we decided to stop for a coffee and sit outside. The coffee menu was descriptive, which was helpful since we never had Cuban coffee before. We each got a cortadito (Cuban coffee infused with milk). I usually drink strong coffee black or with a little bit of almond milk, so this was like a sweet treat to me. We got it the standard way that the employee recommended. Honestly, this gave me the pep in my step to continue my day. Our coffees were a delicious treat, and we enjoyed the people watching on the back patio. All of the sandwiches that came out for other guests looked delicious. I really liked this place and would love to stay for longer next time.

Hubby and I took a little drive up to Fernandina to check out Hola Cuban Cafe. I love everything Cuban food and I couldn't wait to give them a try. First impression, the decor was so good! Lots of quintessential Cuban signage including flags and artwork. It almost felt like I was walking into my abuela's house. They also are big University of Miami fans so my hubby liked that. The girl who took our order was very nice. After placing our order, we grabbed a table outside in their patio area. I ordered the pan con lechon with a cafe con leche and hubby ordered a Cuban sandwich. We added an order of papa relleñas to share. I loved the papa relleñas especially since they were bite-size. The beef was seasoned well and the sauce was yummy as well. The Cuban sandwich and the pan con lechon were both delicious! The bread was perfectly pressed and they were filled with a good amount of meat & cheese. The pork was heavy on the lime flavor which some people may not like as much. I personally like less lime but all in all, great sandwiches. The cafe con leche was amazing! It was sweetened just right and served at a great temperature, nice and warm but not hot enough to burn your mouth. Keep up the great job, we will be back!

Authentic Cuban food and a delicious Cuban sandwich that was more than I could finish. Mostly outdoor seating and situated in an old home.

My son got the last coco-guava and I got one of the last 3 guava cheese and they are so fresh and nice filling. The building looks so small, but it's deceptively big inside and very nicely laid out. My son ordered the Medianoche and said the bread was very fresh, lots of meat, and even the mustard was really good. My husband got a chicken and a shrimp empanada. The chicken was very full, but a little dry. The avocado sauce it came with helped it a lot. The shrimp was very good even though he was surprised the pieces of shrimp were so tiny. I got the queso fritos and they were amazing! I'm guessing they are just deep fried with no breading and the guava sauce is delightful even though I was surprised it was cold. The girls working here are so friendly and helpful...I'm loving this place!

I think if the websites show everything on it, they should list that some items are not available at all locations. I then found the New Orleans Muffaletta that sounded wonderful, but it said it had prosciuttini on it; I'm familiar and LOVE prosciutto so I started my order and said that I had never had that before, but I assumed it was pretty similar to prosciutto. She told me that that it was a peppered ham, but was not on the sandwich. I said it clearly says it's on a sandwich and she looked at the menu board and said well it doesn't, it has capicola. I stepped away and looked up what prosciuttini was, and it was not described anything like a peppered ham or like she described. I was to the point of not wanting to order anything, but since my husband and son were with me and they wanted something, I asked her if I could see what it looked like so I can make a decision. She held it up and it didn't look anything different than regular ham. I decided to get it anyway, and I asked her if it could be made like the menu described. She stared at the menu board for a minute and thought about it and decided it was OK to do it that way. That seemed like the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard; if the menu shows what is on it and you seem to make it differently than what it's supposed to be, wouldn't you expect it to make it as it says on the menu without question - I'm not modifying anything! It turned out to be a very nice sandwich. The bread was fresh, the lunch meat was fresh, and even the muffaletta was good, albeit not drained much, so it was very oily. My husband had a Kong and thought it was very good as well. Just to clarify, she was not rude or anything like that, she was actually a nice person. I just think the whole thing was insane that I was being told I was wrong. I would go back again.
