What an amazing Thai food truck!!! We drove out to Amelia Island from Jacksonville for the Jazz Festival which was unimpressive. There was only one food truck in front of the venue with cold mashed potatoes and soggy fries. The show today was free but only had the Jazz ensemble from UNF. Luckily the 1 hour trip wasn't a total waste because we found Eato Chef!! It's right across from the beach (on the west side of the A1A but you can easily get food here and walk across the street to eat on the beach). As soon as you walk up, it has a bunch of park like tables, each one with jars of cookies/snacks, games like checkers/chess/jenga/etc., and magazines. There's only a few menu items, but the star is the pad thai!! It was one of the best pad thai I have ever had (even better than in Thailand)!!! It was so flavorful and my favorite was the cabbage and chives garnish. The spice level goes all the way up to 25, but be careful it gets really super spicy! I only got level 3 and it was quite spicy! I usually get 4 out of 5 at most Thai restaurants. The dumplings were deep fried (I usually like my dumplings pan fried) but that's ok because the filling was so delicious. The chef Mai Mai was so sweet and nice. She played a game of chess with my son and gave my daughter a mango popsicle after lunch. We would make the drive again just to eat here again! Totally worth it read more

Limited menu - it's a food truck - with fantastic food. We had the pad Thai, egg rolls, and dumplings, and all were outstanding. The egg rolls were firmer than what I am used to and did not fall apart which was really nice. The outdoor covered seating is really cute, and they have games on each table to keep you occupied while you wait for your food or eat. We will be back! read more

Yum yum yum! I loved this food truck, and I'm so sad that they don't have a view of the beach, because that would have been the cherry on top. The menu basically consisted of pad Thai and egg rolls. The pad Thai is really good though! Pad Thai is amazing! My wife and I had Shrimp Pad Thai, I had spice level one and she had zero spice. The levels of spice go very high, like 25 (are you kidding me!). One wasn't bad at all, but if one is any indication of heat, 25 has to be shuttle explosion heat. The shrimp is locally sourced and fresh. The seating area is quaint, comfortable and has a lot of decorative plants that add to the experience. Highly recommended if you like Pad Thai. They have vegan, chicken and shrimp options. after a busy day shopping at Horrock's Farmers Market in Lansing, MI, I stopped for a little respite at the Eato Chef food truck. The walk up ordering system was easy and fast, the food options were plentiful and large proportions. My family had Pad Thai of different heat ratings (it can get really hot at the 3+ level) along with egg rolls and dessert. Everything was served fresh and tasty. An easy choice for eating here again when shopping, it really made the trip memorable. read more

I stopped there and had Chicken Pad Thai the other day. It was absolutely wonderful! I would be careful about the spice level. I originally thought I wanted a 2 out of 10 but finally changed and got a .5 which was plenty of spice for me. They have packages of spice on the table to illustrate how much spice is in each level and 2 would have been way too much for me. Well done and Welcome to Fernandina Beach! read more

Loved the polite and fast service. Professional operation. What a spot to have the permanent trailer. Great set up. The variation on what I consider excellent Pad Thai didn't work for me. I'm not saying it was bad, or off, just not my thing. The red, smokey theme was good, just not what I'm looking for with my Thai. Finally got the courage to ask in Horrocks how to find this place. You have to go through the store out back by the Beer Garden. The food truck is inside a fence, so I don't think you can get to it without going through the store first. That being said, it was totally worth it!!! We got pad Thai tofu and shrimp, spice level 2. You could actually taste the chilis!! I added a little more heat at home, but it was just about the max spice level for one of my kids. Order took about 10 minutes to be cooked and packed up. Truly, the best pad Thai I've had in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, or Michigan. Other stuff on the menu is great too - but it's a limited menu, on purpose. They just do everything 10/10. I travel for work, and I'm not at all exaggerating when I say that I book my hotels based on their proximity to Eato Chef when I stay in Lansing. I'm convinced that any low/negative reviews are somehow connected to the spice level they ordered. They have a much wider range than most American Thai spots... (0-8.) Their 3 is probably the highest level at most other spots. I absolutely LOVE spice. It's hard to completely smoke me out - but their level 4 is almost too much for me. Order appropriately! Delicious! Highly recommend the pad Thai which has a good balance of savory, sweet, salty, umami and sour flavors (with the lemon squeeze before eating). The bean sprouts and green onions were crunchy and fresh. The level 2 spice was good for us (people who don't cook with peppers at home).
