Been looking for a solid sushi restaurant for past year and a half. Search is over. Ordered takeout deluxe sushi/sashimi diner. Came with soup and salad which were both bland. Salad was just iceberg lettuce and soup had one lone mushroom in it. So much for the negative. Everything else was outstanding. First of it was beautifully presented on a nice tray. The various types of fish were all fresh and scrumptious. The sashimi were thick pieces. The rolls were tightly packed and equally delicious. I ordered here all the time a couple years ago, and my favorite thing about them is that their orders always came with a "complimentary" order of miso soup and holiday rolls (which isn't actually complimentary bc all of their food is more expensive than comparable sushi places around the island). But! i inquired because its my favorite part from ordering here, I asked if the policy changed, and was told that online orders have never gotten the "complimentary" food, and that i was just making it up‍. Unlike most places, you can get lunch specials on weekends which we took advantage of. We also ordered Rock'n Roll and Fiery Dragon Roll. The latter was excellent. Very disappointed. We ordered $100 in sushi to go. We clearly stated the order to the person answering the phone. It was not correct- items were left off and no wasabi and ginger were packed. It's not customary to double check a to go order so we thought it was properly ordered and packed. We unpacked and found the errors- tough to get it right now. We called to inform them- the person couldn't help us or understand the situation and error of the order. There is no resolution. We will not recommend or return. read more

This is my favorite sushi spot hands down. They are a little pricy, but the holiday roll is my favorite! I also like the Philadelphia roll. If you spend a certain amount, you get a free holiday roll with your meal. Sometimes they give you fried Oreos when you dine in after your meal. I've dined in and also gotten take out multiple times and it's inconsistent, but a nice surprise when you do get them! I've never had bad service here and 9/10 the food has been spot on. We always get sushi to go from Fancy Sushi, and usually the same items, every time. And I've got to say, the sushi here has always been OK, not superior, OK and edible. We also understand how food and other things have increased, but it hasn't been that long since we last ordered, and we were absolutely floored at the price increase, a 32% overall increase. Instead of $60 and change, it's now $80 plus. Almost a $20 increase, not including tax. Rolls - $1.70 to 1.80 increase. Individual sushi pieces - $.60 to $1.60 increase. Unbelievable. Sorry to say but it's not worth it, especially since it was a small luxury to begin with. read more

Fancy Sushi has been our go to place to get sushi for years. I can't recall ever having a bad experience. Ms Susan and her staff are very attentive without being overbearing. I was there with family one evening when an elderly gentleman at another table spilled his drink twice. Ms. Susan was very kind and caring as she wiped up his table and gently spoke to him. She continued to reassure the man. It was like she was taking care of someone in her family. The food is consistently great. Even my young grandchildren love it.
