Wandaful Things was our go-to for dinner at Alive After 5 in downtown St. Marys this evening--and wow, did they deliver! Savannah was so kind, cheerful, and fun... the kind of energy that makes the whole experience even better. And Wanda was busy cooking up some seriously delicious goodness. I ordered the 2 Protein Plate with blackened and grilled shrimp plus a side of Smack n'cheese. The shrimp were perfectly prepared--flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. And the Smack n'cheese? Creamy, rich, and absolutely scrumptious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Five stars all the way! The sign remains up in town and hours remain posted online, but this breakfast/lunch/bakery place has been closed for many months now. Kingsland launched this business and made Wanda a success, but now Wanda spends all of her time taking her food truck out of town. Come home, Chef Wanda, and reopen your cafe! read more

On restaurants website, they show a dining room in a house that was not there when we arrived . The server said that they were renovating the property, but wouldn't be completed for sometime in the future possibly two years. Dark small room to place order. Was confusing where to go. Server was sweet and friendly. They used all plastic and styrofoam to serve food to you. Not liking that! Prices were up there, would have like a more memorable experience. Ugh... No proper outdoor dining space. Picnic tables with umbrella under dirt. Food wasn't bad. But not great. Underwhelming at best. I really wanted to love it. Sorry though. read more

Amazing food! We stopped on our way from St Augustine to Savannah. Well worth getting off the highway for! Food was exceptional and service was gracious and quick! I've been browsing on things to do and of course food, even before I moved to my new hometown of Kingsland, Georgia. Then one day, a very appetizing photo of a milk shake and caprese salad popped up on my IG Feed from the @visitkingslandgeorgia page... I had to dive deeper and found Wandaful Things! Fast forward to today, I finally got the means and the time to go to their bistro and try their food for lunch. I got the "Don't Be Crabby" Sandwich, in which you have an option to have it with crab cake or soft shell crab, plus a side of your choice. I opted for the soft shell crab and oh boy... The first bite was divine! The second bite was heaven! The combination of slaw, garlic aioli sauce and the crunchiness of the soft shell crab was just a whole bunch of flavor bursting in every bite. I had roasted vegetables for my side and the veggies were cooked and seasoned nicely too. Food is made to order so you can guarantee that your food is served fresh. And of course, how can I forget about dessert? I took home half a dozen of cupcakes for my husband and I to enjoy. The cupcakes are not overly sweet, and the cake itself was fluffy. They have outdoor dining, which is in a nice lush garden that looks like a good place for a small event (not in pic, will take pics when I go back!) There's plenty of street parking around the neighborhood. I will definitely come back here again and support this small biz! This is an amazing place to eat! Wanda the owner and chef talked to us and is super nice. Her front counter hostess was also so nice and helpful with talking about the menu. The food was just delicious and after eating you feel great not loaded down. We ordered Mac and cheese - light, fluffy and cheesy Potato soup - was a great blend of large and small pieces Blackened fish sandwich - the fish was cooked perfectly, coupled with the fresh vegetables and lovely bread, I would order this at least once a week. This is what Yelp is all about... Helping you find a local restaurant in a new town. This place was SO DAMN GOOD! Stopped in for lunch and got a Fish Called Wanda (which was flounder that day and I elected to have it fried). The breading was so flavorful and it was cooked perfectly. I also had the pasta salad as a side. It was great! We sat outside in a beautiful garden area with five picnic tables and it looked like a scene out of a movie. Wandaful, OMFG! Soooo delicious! Best meal of 5 weeks eating everywhere from Savannah to Jax/Amelia Isl! The vibe is very Key West with the backyard-islandy feel, Bahamian colors, and indulgent menu. But I have to say, Wandaful Things is MUCH better food than anything I've ever eaten in Key West or the Bahamas! Staff was friendly and food came out pretty quickly. My toddler loved his Mac-n-cheese, with a twang in the cheeses and a fluffiness like egg or cottage cheese, but whipped up all gourmet-like. The potato salad is downright decadent. Sour cream in there, maybe even cream cheese... it was thick y'all, but very very good. Like a savory cheesecake dessert potato salad! The Get Shorty was delicious short rib, with crisp veg and beautiful garlic aioli sauce, and I thought it had to be the best option until I tasted the Brunch Chic and I could've died happy! OMG that is a friggin masterpiece home run, Miss Wanda! Absolutely the best friggin thing I had in my mouth in five weeks of southern GA/northern FL restaurants! They say it's on a "chive-cheddar waffle" but it's really just a smashed pancake from what I got. No matter, it worked probably better than grooves of a waffle. The taste and texture was deep and rich and that pancake could be its own meal, but this perceptive artist knew how to pair it, just right, with the fried chicken breast (another stand-alone perfect meal), the egg/avocado, and the maple glaze... oohhhh so dayum-dayum-dayum good! Many times after that sandwich, I contemplated driving the 94-min round trip to Wanda from my rental on Jekyll just for that Brunch Chic! I will be back for more on my next trip south! I'm pissed I ate so many meals at Malson's in Kingsland before discovering Wandaful. Malson's is a 5 too, but they're BBQ, and a different animal from the refinement and flavoring/ingredients going on at Wanda's kitchen. Do yourself a favor, drive the extra 2mi off 95 and find this place. It's so worth your time and prices are a steal for what you get! On a mother daughter trip to Orlando and stopped at "Wandaful Things" for a late lunch. The service is exceptional and cares about the guest experience. When we arrived it was right at closing time however they stayed open for us to order and enjoy lunch. The food is absolutely AH-MAZE-ING!! so much flavor in every bite. Made my mouth smile and do a dance. This place needs should be featured on the cooking network or HGTV, best kept secret in Kingston, Georgia. We ordered chicken fingers and Mac n cheese, fried green tomato sandwich with pub chips and crab cake sandwich with zucchini chips. The aioli and slaw that came on the crab sandwich was delicious.
