Hands Down the Worst Medical Reception Service Ever! I was hoping after two years the service would…read morehave improved since my last review. Unfortunately, it got worse. I went in on Friday and arrived at 4:57 p.m. It was eerie since the reception and waiting area were completely empty. I waited and then another patient came. We tried to get someone's attention to alert them that there was no one to check us in. About 10 minutes later, a nurse came out and apologized. She was not sure why there was no one but was going to find out. Finally at 5: 15 p.m (18 minutes later) both receptionists came out. When I inquired why no one was aroud, they indicated their supervisor was having a meeting with them. To be fair, the doctor that eventually saw me, provided me with excellent service. Nevertheless, this does not take away the fact that the front desk was left unattended. Yelpers for years have posted reviews indicating a problem with the service at this location. In this case, it is the supervisor who inexplicably pulled both receptionists during regular work hours to hold a meeting and leaving the reception unattended. Why couldn't the supervisor meet with them individually and maintaining at least one person to attend the reception area? If this is true, the supervisor showed bad judgement and professional incompetence. Most importantly, why is Cedar Sinai allowing this subpar service to fester this long?

I've only been seeing her for a month, and I'm already noticing real improvements in my health -- something I didn't think was possible this quickly. Appointments are efficient and respectful of my time. I've never waited more than five minutes, and the Silver Lake location makes it easy with plenty of parking, so I don't have to miss much work. Everyone in the office is welcoming and helpful, which makes the whole experience stress-free. While there is a fair amount of paperwork, it's all handled online through the Spruce app. That means I have my own record of everything discussed in appointments, prescriptions, and care details -- an invaluable tool for keeping track of my care. Most importantly, Dr. Ramadan has been a light during a very dark time in my life. I'm beyond grateful to have found her and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Everyone working in this office is lovely and helpful, so I always feel welcome. Wait times are always short and it's easy to schedule appointments and follow ups. Medication refills are a breeze. STAY AWAY SHE IS A TERRIBLE DOCTOR. She is a terrible doctor and she is the worst at listening…read more During my visits she is always staring at her computer and hardly listening. And when she is staring at her computer she is always reffering to old tests and I always have to correct. She is supposed to be prepared never before the appointment. For over a year I was having hot flashes in the middle of the night and I have told her about it multiple times, and every time I told her about it she was ssoooo insulting she gave me a condescending smile and said "just push the covers." After a year of her insulting advice I literally had to raise my voice and told her to look at me when I'm speaking to her. And tell her that she needs to help me, she is doctor I am the patient . " You are a doctor and its your job and responsibility to help me." She then told me I can just take test with my gyno and they can tell me if I'm in menopause. It took her over a year to use her brain cells to tell me that. So I then had a appointment with my gyno and I told her I need to take "the test" that would show if I am in menopause. When I saw my gyno, she said there is not a "test" that shows weather I would be in menopause. She said Dr. Helen Rostamloo was wrong. Also I had a hard time trying to get an appointment with my gyno for a regular pap smear and Dr. Helen said she can do it. And I let Dr. Helen do it. I trusted her and I thought I was in good hands. Later I was telling my sister who is a Nurse about it and she was shocked. My sister told me a primary should NEVER be allowed to do a pap smear it always should be done by a gyno. She told me the Primary Doctor is not qualified nor is ever supposed to perform a pap smear. I also have been having ear ringing that has not gone away. I was diagnosed this tinnitus and I asked her what she should recommend. She said don't go to physical therapy 'LOOK ON YOU TUBE."

His broad scope of expertise, humanity, tact, and sense of humor have made a lasting positive impact on my life. Like most of his other patients, I can say without hesitation that I consider him and Peggy to be a part of my extended family. I will never forget receiving an unprompted call from Dr. H late in the evening many years ago after they learned of a sudden health crisis that my parent suffered. Thankfully, my parent's crisis eventually resolved; but that brief check-in from Dr. H touched me deeply. I knew that I was not alone and that he genuinely cared. Unheard of in modern medicine, when you call their office after-hours and connect with the emergency line, the phone rings at Dr. H's house. They trust their patients not to abuse that access; but the small number of times that my family needed it, Peggy and Dr. H were on the other end of the line, providing useful information and reassurance, even at 4AM. My experience as a patient of Dr. H's played no small role in my own journey towards becoming a physician. I often find myself trying to recall one of his totally unique and pithy one-liner jokes when I need to break the ice with a new patient. Family practices like this one are virtually impossible to find these days. The world would be a much better place if everyone had a medical team like Dr. Horowitz and Peggy.

With covid and how things are run differently now, communication is KEY! Peggy sent me all the health forms that needed to be completed in a timely manner via email. She was wonderful at responding to my emails, and she made things so easy! They went out of their way to see me in person in a really short notice as my visit required necessary clearance for my nursing program. They only have certain days for appointments but she made an exception for me as my work schedule conflicted with their in-person office visits. Peggy also sent me my labs on a Saturday as I requested if she could send it to me as soon as they receive it.. they are closed on Saturdays and she did that for me (I am so grateful!). I also want to say that I drove from Monterey Park to Dr. Horowitz's office on a Friday during the time that there is so much traffic (traffic alone in this area if you already know is hideous) but I would do it again! Thank you so much Peggy and Dr. Horowitz!!
